Amara was stunned when Bian opened the front door and found Alif covered in sweat.
A few minutes ago Amara did choose to lie in bed while Bian fed him breakfast, but when he heard Alif came home alone, of course he can't sit around anymore and come with Bian downstairs.
It is not unusual to see a child walking alone. In fact, Amara and her three sisters always go home and go to school alone.
However, Alif is still first grade in Elementary, and what worries him is the distance from the school to the villa. If Bian riding a motorbike alone takes almost twenty minutes to school, then how long does Alif walk from school to villa?
No wonder the child's face was so red as that of a man who ran for kilo meters under the heat of the sun. The red and white uniform worn by Alif was wet with sweat— no matter if the morning weather was quite fresh.
Unlike Amara who was overwhelmed with worry when leading Alif in, Bian behaved so calmly— even though Amara found out that her husband was no less worried than her.
As for the parents' concerns about their children, Bian and Amara certainly raised a few questions about the child.
While stripping off Alif's shoes and socks, Amara and Bian listen to Alif's narration outlined in the long narrative.
"So, you're leaving from your mom's house, not from school?" amara asked after hearing Alif's description. "Oh my God, brother, that's a long way away, dear. How can you go home even before your mom wakes up?"
"Abisnya Kangen brother with Biandra," said Alif, his breathing is now not so faltered as it first arrived. "Partially if you wait for your mom to wake up until you get her to school, said your mom later to go home. Brother wants to meet Biandra."
Alif obviously could not complain the truth, that he was too afraid that what his mother said every day would prove true.
Indeed, Alif only two nights stay at his mother's residence. However, since hearing Yuanita's words saying that Bian and Amara would throw it away later on, she has since waited for anyone to pick her up. As if wanting to convince themselves that his mother was lying, they couldn't possibly just throw Alif away.
Unfortunately, no one came. Her father never came, her birth mother didn't even show up. It succeeded in making Alif even more afraid that they really did not care about him, to let him be with Yuanita.
No matter if Alif is treated to freedom in his mother's house, but that's not what Alif wants.
For one month he lived with Bian, Amara, and Biandra, since then Alif also knew that his family was now different.
In fact, the difference was too obvious and made Alif more comfortable. Especially because his papa was at home almost every day, different as when Bian was still with Yuanita.
Bian doesn't comment much, doesn't mean he doesn't care. Amara observed Bian rising from his seat to take a drink for Alif.
It was clear that Bian's face was unsightly, irritated and angry at Yuanita who obviously never changed.
Bian could already imagine what Alif was like under Yuanita's tutelage. Unkempt, sleeping late at night with a puff of cigarette smoke, and he didn't want to imagine anything worse the morning Alif might get.
However, of course Bian did not reveal this to Amara. In fact, as much as possible he tried to control himself not to express disappointment because Amara who was holding him back then went to pick up Alif.
However, Bian could not regret what happened that day. He only tried to keep Amara from thinking that he did not prioritize Amara who was then depressed by Yuanita's threats.
After all, the most important thing now was that Alif was already with her— even though there was actually pain when imagining the child walking since six in the morning.
Not that Bian is too exaggerated when comparing many children who are far less fortunate than Alif. However, there is ironic in itself when considering how he struggled with treasure, had many vehicles, could even tell people to pick up Alif— but the child was dangling alone.
"Breakfast first, Brother," said Bian, returning from the kitchen with drinking water for Alif, after the boy had gulped down all the water, Bian added, "What breakfast do you want?"
"I made breakfast for Alif, Om" said Amara, reaching out to Alif and taking him to the kitchen. "You call your brother first and take care of the Biandra above. You're afraid your brother's going to school to pick Alif up, right?"
Bian nodded and left Amara alone with Alif. Then, he rushed to the room to contact Mirna and tell her about Alif who had come home alone.
Away from Bian who tried to swallow his annoyance at Yuanita, Mirna who had just prepared to go to school was finally angered after hearing Bian's explanation.
Regardless of his attitude that did not interact so much with Alif, but still he was ignited emotions if in the end Alif was only abandoned by Yuanita.
Mirna has not liked Yuanita very much. However, again he respects Bian who decides to allow Alif and Yuanita to meet for the good of the boy.
Now that she saw how close Alif and Amara were, knowing that her sister's household looked much happier than when she was with Yuanita, it felt like Mirna could not stay silent anymore if Yuanita still disturbed them.
So, without much consideration, Mirna directly contacted Yuanita and spilled out her annoyance while the call was directly connected.
"Why, Tea? Tumben called in the morning?" Yuanita's voice from across the call sounded still sleepy.
It makes Mirna's annoyance multiply, realizing it seems Yuanita doesn't even know that Alif is leaving.
"Morning from where? I want this nine o'clock" said Mirna, squeezing the phone tightly. "Please let my son go home alone. Is it your behavior? If you do not intend to meet and take care of Alif, mending do not have to come and pick him up again, Ti. I'm quite—"
"What do you mean this early in the morning calling while angry like gini? Going home alone what does that mean?"
"Well, you really don't know if my son's going home alone!" Mirna raised the intonation of her voice, offsetting Yuanita's irritated tone. "You are trusted, is that it? Not wise how adek I ngizinin you met Alif, even though that letter of agreement has not been valid since you nuker sama villa. If it wasn't for Alif, I'd have been sick of seeing you come. Udah deh, from now on do not need to use the event to meet Alif let alone to pick up without our permission. Once again you dare to pick up Alif, I report you to the police as a kidnapping case. You're mak—"
"Lu dare to fuck me, Mar?"
Mirna even heard Yuanita's roar from across the call. However, of course it did not make him tremble.
"Yes. Inget okay! You have no rights at all to meet Alif, and do not dare to appear to my house or to the villa adek—"
"Oh, surely the ****** that is also a provocation you make me prevent meeting Alif that I have taken care of from the baby?!"
"Not you take care of my son! But my grandfather! You're getting more insolent. That's enough, yeah, I've been in the brakes all this time, and that doesn't mean I'm afraid of women like you!"
"Lu who doesn't know himself, lont*! Ten years my household is the same adek you, you now join lont*e's belain because he has a son of the Bian? You also covered up the guy who married the series behind me, right? As long as you know, Mirna, although Bian gave me ten villas, it was nothing compared to when I ngalamin hard equally adek you. Don't mentang—"
"Eh, read Lu, Yuanita! Not once twice have you betrayed my grandfather! Still dare to tell if it is not comparable? I have enough self-esteem adek I lu-injek, still feel the most bener—"
Mirna's speech came to a halt when the call suddenly interrupted the other side. Away from Mirna, Yuanita is wrathful when she realizes that Alif is running away.
Not only that, he was amazingly emotional when Mirna even now sounded defending Amara. How could he have been instantly knocked away by the presence of Amara which he realized was far inferior to him.
Damn, Yuanita now can not do much considering the mainstay shaman has disappeared. However, that doesn't mean he's running out of ways to get Bian back— his biggest asset.
At least, even if they did not return, Yuanita would not be silent to see Amara enjoying what was supposed to belong to Yuanita forever. He won't let Bian live happily with his new family— while he only gets half of Bian's now dwindling possessions.
