The Selena Tsabina Series

The Selena Tsabina Series
Chapter 18 { I Just Believe You }

~ Happy Reading ~

Selena was sleeping in Cristine's room, her hand holding a book and her dark eyes as black as ink stared focusedly at the book on her lap. Selana is reading.

Because it's Sunday, last night he was allowed to stay at his best friend's house.

This afternoon they plan to go to a water park near the house.

Cristine came in with a watermelon on a plate. He sat in the study chair and looked towards Selena who was already in his own world.

Cristine grunts.

"The mother told me that if you come home, she left the parcel for your mother. Please remind me later." Then Cristine was busy with the watermelon in her mouth.

Cristine deliberately made a sound when she ate so that she was reprimanded by Selena.

And proved.

"Whispering. Can't you make a sound while eating." Selena stared ferociously at Cristine who was grinning cunningly at him. He intentionally.

"You'll ignore me if you've read, it makes me very angry." Cristine complained.

Selena closed the book and put it on the study table. His hands stretched out, picked up a fresh watermelon and started eating it.

Very sweet.

"What time we leave." asked Selena.

Cristine looked at the wall clock that was still at 11 p.m. The plan is to leave around 2 o'clock.

"Jam 2 we'll be leaving." replied Cristine lazily. He put the empty plate away from the table and put it on the floor.

Then he stood up and went up on the bed, lying next to Selena.

With her stomach in position and both hands supporting her chin, Cristine looked straight at Selena.

"What. Why look at me like that ?" Selena asked unhappily. She was very uncomfortable if noticed as such by someone, even if it was Cristine with her habits, Selena never got used to it.

"Your relationship with Lucas, I'm curious to know." Cristine asked. Although Cristine likes Lucas, after Selena was beaten again by Lyana, she promised to suppress the likes she felt she did not deserve.

When Lucas brought Selena that day, Cristine became aware that he would not be able to get a reply from his love for Lucas.

So for what to impose even impossible circumstances for Cristine to change.

Lucas' worries at that time and how he did not go a bit while waiting for Selena to wake up, Cristine had given up on her feelings.

Lucas loved Selena so much, that's what he saw.

So at the moment he started to step back slowly and as much as possible to become invisible in front of Lucas.

With Lucas' passing this year, Cristine feels saved.

Selena fell silent. He was confused as to what to answer with Cristine's question.

What's the deal with Lucas now? He doesn't know!

Lucas was very kind to him and also attentive. Although Selena is getting used to the actions of Lucas who serin help him, and the presence of Lucas that sometimes appears before him, besides he feels happy.

Selena had no idea of the other feelings she was feeling.

Selena felt it was fine like this, between her friendship with Lucas.

"We're just regular friends." Selena answered hesitantly.

"Are you serious?" Cristine squinted her eyes suspiciously.

"Then what do you think. I'm not sure."

"What do you think Lucas is like."

"He was kind and friendly" Selena replied.

"Only to you." Cristine.

"What does it mean to me." Selena said no.

"Just think carefully, have you ever heard Lucas was friendly and kind to women? Have you heard that Lucas will pay attention to the new students he meets with great care?"

"Although sometimes he likes to make you angry and annoyed, you say. But what Selena you don't know, Lucas' attitude like that is just that he shows in front of you."

What Cristine said was true. During his schooling in Cempaka, he had heard a lot about Lucas' cold and hateful attitude towards women. In addition to the good looks Lucas had, the man's rotten mouth was also very attached to him. Plus that cold and cold attitude.

Selena just realized. As long as he's with Lucas, I don't know how much he's seen a different expression of Lucas. The smile, the sneaky grin, the seductive and ignorant attitude, and the gentleness that Lucas showed, it was only on Selena.

*Why did Lucas do that?

Why*?

Selena was confused by the many questions she asked. He did not dare to think of Lucas' extremely lenient attitude towards him with the ridiculous thoughts he had just thought of.

*Where might it be because I like it?

That is highly unlikely*!

Lucas likes it, Selena feels unworthy.

Then how to explain Lucas' change of attitude all along.

Cristine continued to watch Selena's fickle face. He sinks into his mind and Cristine doesn't bother Selena.

What Cristine did today was to make Selena aware of her feelings for Lucas.

As a friend who wanted Selena to be happy, she could only do this for them.

Think of it as his guilt-redemption that has failed to become Selena's best friend.

Harboring a love for Lucas, Cristine feels he has betrayed her.

"I don't know Ris."

\*\*\*\*\*

The water park tours they visit are very crowded on this Sunday. Selena and Cristine just got out of the parking lot. They went to the counter and bought a ticket.

Cristine with her hands clasped Selena's hands, slightly dragging Selena in.

"Very many Ris!"

Cristine rolled her eyeballs hearing Selena complain "To the grave there deserted. The name is also a tourist spot, we come on the school holiday Selena, of course it will be very crowded."

"I didn't think this was so crowded. I don't want to swim, you just." Selena's face grew even more sullen as she looked towards the swimming pool she used to go to. There are a lot of people there.

"Hey... I've brought a change of clothes, if you don't swim, it's a waste that I'm carrying it" Cristine said.

Selena looked flat at Cristine, and said "I've been carrying the bag on my back all this time, why are you complaining. I'll accompany you by the side of the pool, you can swim alone."

"Well, all right, I know it's gonna be like this." with his face bent, irritated, Cristine walked into the dressing room.

Selena waited outside after she handed over the bag containing their swimsuit.

Cristine came out with white striped blue pants and a shirt that was not too tight for her to swim in.

His legs were thin and level, the tan skin that Cristine had shone in the sun.

The weather today was not too hot, even though it was already late afternoon, it was still comfortable for them to swim.

"Have you used sunscreen?"

"It has. Come there, don't wait for me, you can sit in Selena's long chair."

"No. I want to soak my feet in the water, while accompanying you."

They walked to a swimming pool that was special for their age, the water was blue because of the ceramic floor bias and not too deep, just limited to Cristine's chest.

Selena sat on the side of the pool, she rolled her pants up to her knees, and her long slender yellow legs were lightly exposed.

Cristine stared at the scene like she was just a nosebleed. She had always been envious of Selena's long, slender legs.

Surprisingly, although Cristine is taller than Selena, if it is already a matter of feet that Cristine always debated, Selena's legs are longer.

"Swim there." Using her bare feet, Selena doused Cristine's face still staring at her feet.

Though according to Selena, she is nothing compared to Cristine. Although she often hears that she cantk or is praised with the advantages she has, Selena will not believe, because for her she feels mediocre. As low as he was to himself.
