The Seed of the Ex!
Chapter 24 - Missing Papah

"Sir Bryant, this is handsome, friendly, kind, not arrogant anymore" Liana praised endlessly as they walked back to their table.

Trisya rolled a lazy eyeball, he who knew very well what kind of habits Bryant really could only mock in the heart.

"Yes, really, which boss is trying to sit and eat together in the cafeteria with this ordinary employee like us, but Mr. Bryant, haish..," Dion added, a look of admiration appeared on his face.

"Why didn't you say this in front of him earlier, who knows if your salary goes up." Edwin.

"That's a lick," liana complained disapprovingly.

"Yes at least you get a reply for the praise you give," he said without sin, he walked ahead, apparently Edwin did not like Bryant too much.

Trisya grunts a smile, she chases after Edwin and walks parallel leaving Liana and Dion to curse Edwin from behind.

"You don't like that new boss?" ask Trisya.

"Why should I like him, I work for his money anyway. As long as I'm not fired, that's enough." He said, drinking water from a plastic bottle he was carrying.

"How do you think the new boss is?" Edwin asked back, he glanced at Trisya's face at a glance.

"I don't know him very well, so I don't want to comment" Trisya said.

"Oh so," Edwin smiled, he sat himself in a chair and went back to work, as did Trisya, after Dion and Liana.

After lunch, as usual Bryant went to meet Zalia at the playground, it became his routine now, and Zalia seemed to have gotten used to it.

"Om neighbor!" shouted Zalia from above the slide, she waved her hand greeting Bryant.

Bryant laughed softly, he returned a wave of Zalia's hand, even though he had said what her name was, but still Zalia called him that.

"Come here, Om bring Zalia some chocolate!"

Immediately Zalia glided with vigor, she ran over with glee at Bryant.

"Chocolate, thank you, Om!" Zalia looked excited.

"Together!" Bryant picked up Zalia and sat her down beside him.

"Our meeting is still a secret, right?" bryant asked while eating the chocolate he bought earlier.

"Hmh, Mommy still doesn't know, I didn't say Mommy. But Om, why is Om afraid of Mommy, Om not intending to kidnap me right?"

Bryant chuckled softly, he ruffled Zalia's hair, "if Om wants to kidnap you, Om has done it before, and many beautiful children Om met, why Om should kidnap you."

"So according to Om, Zalia isn't pretty?" Zalia stood up with her waist ruffled, her round eyes glared at Bryant, and her thin pink little lips peeked cutely.

Again Bryant laughed, he was very anxious and wanted to hug Zalia, his baby who did not know that he was his real father.

"What are you so pretty about?" Bryant kept mocking him.

"Mommy said I'm beautiful, ko!"

Bryant leaned in parallel with the princess, "you're a complete package, beautiful, funny, cute and adorable, so Om likes you," Bryant pinched both cheeks of an overcast Zalia.

"Aws... Sick knows Om!" Zalia complains with her pecking face and rubs her cheeks slowly, "so Om likes me, not Mommy?" zalia's eyes looked probing.

Bryant corrected his position again, avoiding Zalia's gaze which seemed to seek the truth from his eyes.

"If Om says, Om likes you better than Mommy, what?"

"I was a little girl Om, when I was 18 years old, Om's hair must have gone gray" Zalia chuckled at Bryant.

"Jeez, this kid" Bryant laughed too.

"Do you have children?" Zalia sat back down.

"Hem, Om has a daughter."

"Woah, is she pretty?"

"Of course, she's very pretty."

"I want to see, does Om have a picture of him?" suddenly, Zalia seemed excited.

"Om doesn't have his picture." Zalia looked disappointed.

"Where is he now?"

"He lives somewhere far away."

"Oh, Om must have missed her a lot, right?"

"Very!" Bryant breathed heavily.

"Then let's call him" Zalia suggested.

"Om doesn't have his phone number."

"Is, Om what kind of father, why doesn't his phone number have." Zalia complained, while eating chocolate again earlier.

"No papa Om doesn't hear her voice, just so Om knows she's fine and growing up to be a pretty girl."

Zalia looked down at the half-dwelling chocolate in her grasp, "Zalia why?" bryant asked, watching Zalia's attitude change.

"Did Zalia miss Papah?" ask Bryant. Zalia shook her head slowly.

"Why?"

"Since Zalia doesn't have Papah, how can Zalia miss," Zalia smiled softly.

The words cut Bryant's heart, he clenched his hands, "does Zalia hate Papah?"

"No," Zalia shook her head slowly.

"Why?" Bryant looked in wonder.

"Because thanks to Papah, Zalia is in Mommy's world, that's what Mommy said. Although I don't know what Mommy means, but I'm just right," Zalia again ate her chocolate which was delayed.

"Did Zalia ever ask Mommy, who was Zalia's father?"

"Never, I knew Mommy had a reason not to say it, anyway I don't care, there's just enough Mommy."

Bryant looked down deeply, "It's late afternoon it's time for Zalia to come home, Come on Om to deliver."

Bryant got up and walked over to lead Zalia, which was when Aunt Merry approached.

"Are you going home? Is Zalia happy to play?"

"Yes Bibi, Zalia is very happy. All right let's go home."

"Let me intersect Bi."

"Thank you, sir."

They then boarded Bryant's car.
