The Seed of the Ex!

The Seed of the Ex!
Chapter 20 - Invisible Wounds

Bryant was driving his car with Zalia sitting next to him, he could not stop the smile that was constantly present on his lips.

"Om, why did you keep smiling?" zalia's question made Bryan scratch his non-itchy head.

"No papa, Om is just happy today" Bryant replied with a smile.

"Is Om having a birthday?"

"Emh... No, but Om got a nice present so Om's happy." Bryant replied, he chose such an answer in order to understand Zalia.

"Getting a present was so much fun, the last time Mommy gave me a present on my birthday, Mommy gave me a big teddy bear, almost as big as Om!"

"Really? That's great, do you want another doll?" bryant asked, but Zalia shook her head in response.

"Why?"

Bryant's car stopped in the basement, he glanced at the little girl who was staring at Bryant with her clear black bead of eyes.

"My dolls are many," Zalia refused.

"So is there anything else you want? Tell Om?" Again Zalia just shook her head.

Bryant sighed softly, "Yes already then, let's go down in a moment your Mommy will be home."

Bryant went down first and opened the door for Zalia, then helped her down.

"Remember our agreement, you mustn't say anything about our meeting today." Said Bryant while squatting looking at the little girl's face.

"Yes Om, Zalia promise!" Zalia said, she hooked her little finger on Bryant's pinky finger that was pointing at her.

"Okay then, let's hurry!" Bryant glanced at his watch which showed the time of the workers' normal disbandment.

Bryant took Zalia to the upper floors, after which they separated, entering their homes.

Bryant threw himself at the soup, he opened his phone and looked at the photo of Zalia he accidentally took when the little girl was off guard.

An incoming message was seen on the top screen of his device.

'*Sir, how, did everything go smoothly?' the message was from Marc.

'Yes, I managed to get Zalia's hair.' Reply Bryant.

'Okay sir, I'll go over there and get the sample*.'

Bryant no longer replied to messages from Marc, he threw his phone in any direction, but he remembered something and took it back.

'Bring me some food.' Bryant typed the message and sent it.

"Haish, my stomach is hungry. I didn't eat lunch earlier" Bryant complained, opening the refrigerator, which contained only mineral water.

"I think I should go shopping!"

Trisya got off the taxi he saw Bryant carrying groceries while playing mobile phone walking towards him, presumably he was unaware of Trisya's whereabouts.

Trisya snorted, "he can't cook, why do you shop for vegetables that much? But, just tell me what I care about."

Trisya passed first.

"Mommy's coming home baby!" Trisya said as she entered her house, she took off her shoes and threw her coat onto her.

"Mommy!" Zalia hugged Trisya, who was greeted by the mother who also missed her so much after a day of work.

Trisya held Zalia and sat the girl in her lap.

"How's the walk, what's the fun?"

"It would be nice, if Mommy could come along," Zalia's face pegged.

"Don't pout that way, this Sunday Mommy will accompany Zalia wherever she wants." Trisya.

Zalia widened her eyes, "Mommy promise ya!" he held out his little finger which was immediately greeted by Trisya's little finger.

"Promise!"

"Mommy's hungry baby, let's eat!"

They moved their seats to the dining table, Trisya happened to buy food from outside, so she did not need to cook.

"Emm Mommy... Does Mommy know the neighbors?" asked Zalia who immediately made Trisya turn her head.

"No, Mommy doesn't know." Trisya.

"But it seems like he knows Mommy."

"Zalia, finish your food." Tukas Trisya kept his plate on top of the sink.

"Good Mom." Zalia looked down sad.

Trisya let out a heavy sigh, for some reason considering Bryant made her heart unsettled, Bryant was like a plague that haunted her all the time.

Trisya downed a beer to ward off her anxiety on the balcony, the clock showing at 21:00 PM. Zalia was asleep at this time.

"Don't drink too much, you have to work tomorrow." The voice made Trisya turn her head.

He rolled a lazy eyeball when he found out who was reprimanding him, he was about to pass but Bryant's words made Trisya undo his intentions.

"Trisya, you know how crazy I was when I couldn't find you five years ago. I almost roamed the whole country looking for you, but it turns out you weren't there."

Trisya turned to look at Bryant, "can't you just leave, since the beginning we weren't meant to be together, I wasn't for you and so were you. I had a dream I wanted to achieve with you before, but you destroyed it. You're the one who kicked me out of your life."
