Surprise

On the fourth day in Semarang, Jenny invited Gabriela to look around the campus while Mama went to see Papa's relatives who settled in Semarang.

”Next year is a student, Gab. Do you know what you want to study ?” jenny asked as the two walked through the campus area that was a bit quiet because they had entered the semester break.

”Be willing to take medicine, Brother, but not according to the task that has been waiting. No choice, I have to major in business,” said Gabriela while laughing softly.

“But I have no regrets, brother. It's my responsibility as Papi's and Mami's children to continue the family business.”

“Already know where to go to college ?”

“That must be in Jakarta, Brother. Now I'm married so there is a responsibility as a wife besides the plan I want while studying in the company.”

Around 4.30 pm, Gabriela asked Mama for permission to take a walk around Simpang Lima. It is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

Jenny's still sleeping in the hotel room. Since yesterday morning, Jonathan's sister has been staying at the hotel with Mama and Gabriela.

The afternoon atmosphere around the heart of Semarang is quite attractive. Gabriela likes the atmosphere of this city, not too dense and the typical atmosphere of the area is still quite felt.

Until 5:15, Gabriela decided to return to the hotel via a different side of the road. This holiday is his first experience going out of town other than Singapore and Puncak, let alone being able to enjoy the scenery along the train track. The rest, Gabriela never came out of Jakarta.

Gabriela smiled awkwardly. Jonathan's burly hand preferred to hug Maya, leaving Gabriela unmoved in front of Papi.

Gabriela was surprised when Jonathan pulled her hand and brought Gabriela into his arms.

”Where is the holiday, Gab ?” jonathan asked with warmth as if he had forgotten that their marriage was only a covenant.

“Happy because it was the first time to take the train and to Semarang.”

Gabriela tried to compensate for Jonathan's theatrics by embracing him back but she didn't want to stay in that position for too long. Too comfortable and his heartbeat is racing.

Jonathan and Papi laugh while Gabriela smiles thinly, her feelings are still chaotic especially when Jonathan embraces his shoulder into the elevator to his second room.

Gabriela can't resist when Papi and Mama have him move one room with Jonathan.

“You already know the reason we accepted this marriage, right ? For the sake of the happiness of both of our parents, so you know how to behave. Or do you wish that this marriage is forever ?” jonathan replied with a cynical smile.

Jonathan stood up while facing down towards Gabriela. The matter of taking out the contents of the suitcase is finished.

In the bathroom, Gabriela sat on the floor with a bath. His legs were bent and his face was immediately submerged between his knees.

Stupid you Gab, To**lol ! Why let your heart beat and your hopes soar when that contract husband hugs you ? Why do you forget for a moment that he still loves his girlfriend and will never be able to love you ?

Gabriela was unable to stem her tears because the emotions in her heart made it tight and difficult to breathe, but she did not want to sob.
