Ask for Restu

After lunch together, the two rushed back to the office. They don't want to be late to enter the room. As expected, William was already waiting for him there. He was deliberately waiting for Caroline to arrive because she wanted to convey something very important.

"Carol, can we talk to you for a second?" ask William.

Looks like it's a good chance for William to return to Caroline. Shirley was self-conscious enough to give a chance to a pair of men and women who were pursuing her love.

"Ehm, Carol, you better talk inside. I'll go to the toilet for a second" he said. Shirley did not want to be a bully.

A few moments both of them were silent. William finally started the conversation first.

"Can I come in? I'll talk to you for a second" William asked.

Without saying much, Caroline opened the door of the room wide. He entered first and then followed William. A safe place for Caroline was currently sitting in her chair. The girl hoped that William would never do anything more.

"Say! I don't have much time."

William is still in his standing position. He could not do much and had to follow the girl's words.

"Alright, Carol. Just get to the core of the problem. I'm divorced from Roseanne. My status is now a widower. Actually, papa has forbidden me to approach you after the divorce. I just got my double status yesterday. I can't bear to hold all this alone. I want to restore our relationship as it used to be. How's yours?" William has good reason to go after Caroline. So that he would be calmer and hope that no one would be chasing him.

"I've never felt happy over your suffering, Jack. You are still my brother. I never thought bad about you. In fact, I can't hate you" William said. Although since childhood often fuss over toys, but William tried to give up from his sister.

"What are you doing here, Will?" ask Lavina.

"As I said yesterday, Ma. I'm here to ask for the blessing of my relationship with Caroline." William could not hide this fact in Jack's presence.

"Will, you're crazy! I also have the right to pursue Caroline. Now, you're taking advantage of me being this cripple, huh? Compete healthily" sneered Jack.

"Stop! Don't fight just because of that poor girl. Mama doesn't like it. Neither Will nor Jack, until death, Mama would never give her blessing!" emphatically. She doesn't like Caroline very much. I don't know what the real reason is.

"Ma!" shouting Jack. "I'm going to keep chasing that girl. She's a good girl."

"What's Mama's excuse? If that's the reason you can accept me, I'll stay away from Caroline right now." William would not give up. He should know the real reason.

Riots are inevitable. Mr. Darius entered immediately upon hearing of the quarrel between his wife and children.

"Lavina, explain to your son why you're rejecting a girl as good as Caroline?" said Mr. Darius.

"Well, that's right, Ma" said William and Jack at the same time.

"No need to ask why. To be sure, the reason is clear from Papa, right? Will William be able to accept that fact?" Lavina instead accused Mr. Darius of being a barrier to William's relationship with the girl.

"I bless William with Caroline. Whatever your decision, I will not interfere again" said Mr. Darius.

"No, Pa! Caroline is just for me" Jack protested.

"No, Jack. Neither you nor William, there would be no one who could have that girl. If you are desperate, you can do the worst thing in life. Mama could have jumped from the tallest building, for example," Lavina said.

Mr. Darius was never surprised by his wife's threats. It happened often in his past.

"Please, Ma. Your decision. Papa only supports William to achieve his love" said Mr. Darius.

"Pa, Caroline is still mine or William's. Papa should be fair. One of us hasn't decided yet" Jack said. He felt he could not accept that his father supported William.

Restu was not fully in William's possession, but the man was convinced that his father gave the most support to his relationship. He had to dig up important information that was being kept secret by his mother.
