"Honey, come! There's something I want to talk to you about." Arman patted the empty space softly beside him.
Nadira then sat there and looked at the man closely. "What's up, Mom?"
"Tomorrow Madame Ira took me out of town. There was a little problem with his shop in the city of X and he was forced to intervene. Want to not want, I also have to accompany him," said Arman later.
"Out of town? Staying in?" Nadira started to worry.
"Yes, Nadira. At least one week I'll be there to accompany Mrs Ira" Arman said.
"One week ...." Nadira was silent for a moment with a sad face. Actually Nadira is still traumatized by the incident some time ago. Where Bahri juragan's men suddenly attacked his residence.
Arman slapped Nadira's shoulder. "You'll be fine, Nadira. Trust me. Anyway it won't be long. It's only been a week" Arman said.
A week without Arman is not a short time for Nadira who is not used to being abandoned by the man. And he was really sad when Arman said the word 'just a week'.
Arman grabs the wallet he keeps in his pants pocket. He took some money out of the wallet and handed it to Nadira.
"It's money for you, Nadira. Use it well and don't forget, pay off the rest of our debts."
Nadira took the money from Arman's hand. That's a lot for Nadira. It was the first time Nadira touched that much money in her life.
"There's a lot of money, Mom. What is your salary and does Mrs Ira not cut your salary? Didn't Mas borrow the money to pay off Mas's debts to Juragan Bahri yesterday?" Nadira stared at Arman.
Arman smiled wryly. "Actually my base salary is only 5 million, Nadira. The rest is a bonus from Mrs Ira because she said my job was very good. And as for my debts, Mrs Ira is not cutting them now. Except next month."
"5 million? That's a lot, Mom. Mas is only a private driver," muttered Nadira who was still astonished.
"Eitherway. Mrs Ira said it was the standard salary of all her employees" replied Arman lying.
Nadira nodded slowly. "Now take half, Mom. For your pocket money when there later," said Nadira while giving half the money in front of Arman.
Arman pushed Nadira's hand slowly. He refused his wife's offer.
"No need, Dira. You just keep the money. About my allowance, you don't have to worry. Madam Ira has taken care of everything. Whether it's my meal money or my snack money," explained Arman as he gently stroked his wife's face.
"really?" Nadira knitted both his eyebrows.
"Yes, I'm serious. If you don't believe me you can ask Mrs Ira directly" Arman replied trying to convince her.
"All right then."
Nadira rushed to save the money given by Arman into his wardrobe.
"Oh yes, dear. Pray for the windfall, yes. I intend to replace your wedding ring that I sold."
Nadira smiled broadly. He was so happy to hear it. "Amin, Mum. May the windfall of Mas more smoothly, so that you can buy Dira's wedding ring. And another one, earrings for Amara," said Nadira.
"Yes, you're right. Earrings for my little daughter," replied Arman as he grabbed Nadira's tiny body and hugged her tightly.
Next day.
Nadira was willing to wake up early in the morning to prepare everything for Arman. He also deliberately cooked Arman's favorite dishes to enjoy breakfast later.
After everything was done, Nadira rushed into her room. He intends to wake Arman to get ready soon.
"Mas! Arman, wake up. Aren't we going out of town with Mrs Ira today?"
"Yes, you're right, Nadira. I had to get ready immediately" he said, then got up and walked to their simple bathroom next to the kitchen.
While Arman was doing his bathing ritual, Nadira also tried to dress up with simple make-up that he had. Even so, it still looks beautiful and attractive.
After finishing the bath, Arman continued his morning activities as usual. Get dressed, get her hair straight and have breakfast.
"Wow, my favorite dish!" exclaimed Arman with a big smile staring at the dish presented on the wooden table.
"I deliberately cooked it so that Mas Arman would remember me when in the city later" Nadira said.
Arman smiled and landed his butt in the chair. He immediately grabbed a plate that had filled with rice for him to enjoy.
"Hmm, I will definitely continue to be overshadowed by you, Nadira," said Arman while enjoying his first feed.
After a few minutes later.
After finishing his breakfast, Arman hurried to say goodbye to Nadira and Amara before he left the simple residence.
"Be careful on the road, Mom. Don't forget to eat and take care of your health. We are here to wait for your arrival" Nadira said with teary eyes.
"You too, Nadira. Yeah, I'm going first."
After giving a warm kiss on both cheeks Nadira and Amara, Arman immediately drove with his favorite motorcycle.
"Why I don't feel good. But I don't want to be so bad and can only pray that Mas Arman is okay" Nadira murmured inwardly.
After the man disappeared from his sight, Nadira went back into his simple house. While Arman continued to drive and stopped at Bu Ningsih's residence.
"Mom" called Arman while removing the helmet attached to his head.
"Yes, one minute!" vaguely heard the voice of Bu Ningsih from inside the house, who answered Arman's call.
"So, Mom?" arman asked as he stepped into the house.
"So, dong!" Bu Ningsih smiled as she handed over a large bag containing clothes to Arman.
"Well, hurry, Mom. I'm sure Mrs Ira is waiting for us."
"Yes-yes, all right."
Arman put Bu Ningsih's big bag on the hanger of his motorbike. After the middle-aged woman sat behind him, Arman rushed the two-wheeled object back.
"So there will be neighbors who ask where Mom wants to go, then I just answer if Mom wants to meet at the house of close relatives," said Bu Ningsih to Arman who was focusing on the wheel.
"Good, Mom. Don't let anyone know that I'm getting married again. Let this be our secret and others need not know" replied Arman.
"Eh, but really, wouldn't Mrs Ira let me come with you today?"
"Yes, Mom. Mrs Ira was happy to hear it. He was happy because Mom was willing to give our blessing for our relationship" replied Arman.
"As long as he's really sincere with you, why not, Arman?" sahut Bu Ningsih's.
