The Rich Widow

The Rich Widow
Curhatan Arman with Bu Ningsih

After delivering the woman, Arman rushed to her parents' residence. At which time he left Amara. Upon arrival at the place, Arman's arrival was immediately welcomed by Amara and her mother, Bu Ningsih.

The little boy ran towards Arman and hugged him tightly. Arman then raised the tiny body of Amara while kissing both cheeks.

"How, Arman? Is your business with those loan sharks over?" asked Bu Ningsih with anxious expectation.

Arman nodded slowly. "Yes, it's over, Mom."

"Thank God. Lucky there's your rich master, yeah. If not, hmmm .. somehow so," muttered Bu Ningsih.

"Mom, I have something to talk to you about. This is very important" said Arman with a clear face.

Bu Ningsih looked in wonder at his son. Arman's face looks sad, as if there is a heavy burden that he is carrying right now.

"What's up, Arman?"

"We'd better talk inside, ma'am. I don't want to sound to anyone" Arman said.

"All right." Bu Ningsih rushed into his simple house. Arman and Amara followed behind.

Upon arrival in the front room, Bu Ningsih was immediately sitting on the sofa there and followed by Arman with his beautiful daughter.

"What's up, Arman. Tell me," said Bu Ningsih, restarting their conversation.

Arman took a heavy breath before telling the middle-aged woman the matter.

"Mom, there's something I need to know. Behind the help that Mrs Ira gave me, there was a reward that Mrs Ira wanted and I had to do" Arman said with a sad face.

"Drawling? What'sthat?" Ms. Ningsih was starting to get anxious.

"I have to marry her, Mom. Mrs Ira wanted me to take responsibility for what happened between us that night. The night where I was unconscious and had slept with him" Arman said with a face full of regret.

"What!" pekik Bu Ningsih with perfectly rounded eyes. "You're really embarrassing, Arman! What have you done to that woman? Why is it that your kindness is even repaid with such disgusting deeds," upset Ms. Ningsih with a reddened face.

Arman shook his head slowly. "I didn't realize at the time, Mom. I'm sure it was planned by Mrs Ira. That woman was trying to frame me. I wasn't even sure that we had done anything indecent that night, I was actually in a helpless condition" Arman said.

Bu Ningsih took a heavy breath. "Then, after you get married, what will you do? Will you still be his personal driver?"

"No, Ma. There is an offer that is quite tempting from Mrs Ira. He said, if I marry him, I no longer need to bother thinking about work. Mrs Ira will guarantee everything, including the needs of Nadira and Amara" Arman said.

"Well, then why do you have to be dizzy? After all, Mrs Ira is not too bad. She is still beautiful and energetic, yes even though she is no longer young," said Bu Ningsih with a small smile.

"So, do you agree that I'm married to Mrs Ira? What about Nadira? I still love Nadira so much, Mom. I don't want to part with him" said Arman.

"If no one told him, he would never know. All he knows is that you're working with Mrs Ira and I'm sure she won't be suspicious. After all, he should be happy because your life won't be as complicated as it used to be, right?" continued Bu Ningsih.

Arman again took a heavy breath. "I'm still confused, Mom."

"When are you getting married?" asked Bu Ningsih who was starting to be curious.

"Fastly, Mom. Mrs Ira even wanted to have a festive wedding reception and all the costs, she was the one responsible" Arman said.

"I'd better go home first, Mom. Poor Nadira. He's home alone and I'm sure he's still traumatized by all this shocking stuff."

Arman got up from his position and walked towards the front yard with the middle-aged woman.

"Mom, please don't talk about this matter to anyone. I don't want anyone to know about my wedding plans with Mrs Ira" Arman said before leaving Bu Ningsih's courtyard.

Ms. Ningsih smiled widely. "You take it easy, Arman. All your secrets are safe with Mom. Is it that stupid mother indulges in the disgrace of her own son?"

Arman nodded and rushed to turn the motor to his simple residence with Nadira.

A few minutes later, he arrived there. The door to his house is still locked and he believes Nadira is still inside.

Tok .. tok .. tok!

"Nadira, open the door. It's me, Mas Arman."

Not long ago, he heard footsteps from inside the house. Drap's footsteps were so fast towards the door.

Chequek! The door opened and Nadira was standing in the doorway with a pale face.

"Mas Arman! Thank God, I'm so scared, Mom. Afraid of the men coming back" said Nadira.

Arman grabbed Nadira's body and then closed the door of their simple house. "You take it easy, honey. They won't dare come back here."

"Hopefully, Mas. I was really traumatized. I was afraid Juragan Bahri would come back and take me back to his house."

"No, honey. Trust me the same." Arman tries to calm down Nadira who is still frightened.

"Mother, Amara miss Mother." The small voice made Nadira sob. He grabbed Amara's tiny body from Arman's embrace and hugged her tightly.

"Mom too, son. I'm so worried about you."

Arman was silent for a moment. Now the man's gaze was focused around their modest home. He saw that the house had returned clean and neat as ever, before the attack occurred. Yes, although there are some things that have been destroyed and can not be used anymore.

"Mas. I haven't told you about the ransom. Did Mrs Ira also participate in it?" asked Nadira who managed to disperse the daydream of Arman at that time.

"Yes, Nadira. I have no choice but to ask Mrs Ira for help. Lucky he is willing to help us" said Arman with a wry smile.

"Mrs Ira is really nice huh, Mas. May God repay all his kindness." Nadira rests his head on Arman's shoulders.

"Yes, hopefully."

"Let's say thank you, Mom. I don't know what my fate would be if Mas and Mrs Ira hadn't come. Maybe I've ...." Nadira again sobbed in Arman's arms.

"I'm sorry, honey. I promise this will never happen again."
