The Reincarnation of the Red Dragon

The Reincarnation of the Red Dragon
55. Second Year

Today will be the first day for Ray as a 2nd year student. There are no big ceremonies or special events. Ray is a trained knight who only moves from one routine to the next.

Students were told to gather in the dining room. Training lessons were canceled for the day while Ray was told what our new schedule was.

As Ray walked through the hallway to the dining room. Ray looked at his skill window.

Mana Drain was a skill that Ray opened after yesterday's brawl. Of all the skills he had, why should this skill be open?

Mana Drain is a skill that allows Ray to steal a collection of mana from other humans and recharge where it belongs to Ray. The good thing about it is that the effect is permanent.

When Ray becomes a Dragon, the Mana drain will work within a radius of 100 meters. Allowing Rey to steal mana from the surrounding area and add it to hers. Of course, a powerful being or human would be able to block this skill.

The problem was that this skill changed slightly according to what he remembered. This skill now required Ray to touch the object to use Mana Drain.

There would definitely be no opponent who would allow Ray to touch him before a fight, so this would be useless in a fight.

Another problem was when Ray checked his status window, in which column was 0. Rey doesn't have any mana, this is probably the reason why Ray can't be a witch.

Although absorbing mana magical beasts might be able to improve mana Ray, but it was extremely rare to find a savage beast with magical abilities.

Only high-level beasts had the ability to use magical abilities and Ray was unsure of his ability to defeat him at the moment.

Even if Ray improved his mana, Ray wasn't sure he could use it because he didn't have the skills to use mana. Hence the skills that Ray had acquired at this moment were almost useless.

Ray finally got to the dining room and as usual, five knight masters stood on the stage to greet all of us. Ray sat at the table with his roommate choosing a seat next to Gary.

Gary had a dark pouch under his eyes. For the past few days, he had not slept well and seemed to be talking in his sleep.

Ray shared one of the bunk beds with her. Rey occupies the bottom bed while Gary occupies the top bed. Sleep talk always bothers Ray, he always wakes up from his sleep.

Before we were comfortable, Wilfred began his speech.

"Welcome to everyone, I congratulate all of you for enduring a year at the Avrion academy. Unfortunately for you, the second year is when training really begins."

Behind Wilfred, a holographic screen appeared with a list.

"Behind me this is a list of clubs that you can join. You have to think about your choices wisely because from now on you will not do basic training anymore."

Looking at the list in front of him, Ray saw many things that interested him, dueling swordsmanship club, sword and shield club, mace club, spear club, and so on, there are clubs for every type of weapon that can be used. The knight master has advised us to take something different according to the sash we have.

An example is if a person has a green sash, they do not need to join an archery club, it would be more beneficial for them to learn other skills.

Ray looked down at the list, there was something that caught his attention "Smartial arts club". The old man tells Rey to join the martial arts club after she becomes a 2nd year student.

The skill he displayed was very interesting and the advice he gave was very helpful when facing the dark guild members.

"Are you thinking about what class you want to take?" ask Monk.

Slyvia was the first to answer.

"I'm thinking of joining a medical club, you never know when someone needs immediate treatment on the battlefield."

"I'll join the club of spear mace, I'm sick of holding a sword constantly. What about you big guy?" word Dan.

Ian looked nervous.

"There are too many to choose from, I can't decide."

Martha had already chosen what she wanted to enter even without seeing any other options.

"I'm going to pick an archery club, that's all I know and have ever done. I know they advise against it, but I can't imagine using another."

Gary's eyes focused on the swordsmanship club.

"Well, I'm definitely going to a swordsmanship class, Ray?"

It was a good choice for Gary, he had not been too focused on swordsmanship since becoming a black sash.

"I'm thinking of a martial arts club"

When Ray said these words most of them started laughing.

"Are you serious, no one is going to go to a martial arts club."

word Dan.

"Why? I think this is quite interesting."

Slyvia began to explain.

"When humans first learned the use of Ki, we could only use it on our bodies. Martial arts became the norm for adventurers and knights to learn because it was the best opportunity for us to fight magical beasts. Over time we learned to implant our Ki into objects and weapons. Makes us stronger than ever."

"But why did they stop using martial arts."

"If the sword fights the fist, the sword will cut the fist. If the fist is impregnated with Ki, the sword will break. But if both of them infused Ki, the sword would win again."

What Slyvia said was logical, but in the end Ray decided to still go to the martial arts club. The old man only used his fists but could still defeat two enemies with just his fists.
