After everyone finished eating in the dining room, we were separated and arranged into groups based on our colors. The black sling student and the white sash student looked small compared to the other colors.
I immediately went to join the monk and Gary and I saw the other students beside them.
The fourth student was also wearing a black sash, he was one of the boys who came from the city of Renny. I recognized him before but I didn't know his name until now.
His name was Kyle, Kyle was an energetic and courageous person, but there was something that stood out from him. It was his eyebrows, his eyebrows were red so he was also one of the red-haired students. Judging from his age and the small stripes of hair that could be seen, it seemed as if Kyle was shaving his head to look bold.
Each of the master knights should lead the students to the color-related training area there. We are being led by a knight dressed in black.
As we walked through the passageway together, the master knight did not say a word to the four of us, not knowing where we were headed. Kyle was constantly agitated as he walked, it seemed like he was trying to find an opportunity to talk to the knight master but failed to do so.
Finally, he took a deep breath and ventured to ask.
"Ermm, Master, Lord knight, what should we call you?"
Suddenly the knight stopped walking, the situation became silent for a minute. Sweat began to flood the other three faces as if Kyle had just made a huge mistake.
"You can call me K." He finally answered.
The knight then kept going and we followed him. Surprisingly the direction we walked in was unlike other students, the knight took us out of the academy. The moon shone brightly and the howls of the nearby savage beasts could be heard. Monk and Kyle could not help but tremble at the sound of those voices.
"The "Magical Beast lives in the nearby caves. On a full moon like today, his strength increased, on rare occasions they could enter the city so beware" K said.
Kyle and the monk gulped, they were so frightened that I could swear I could hear their heartbeat.
"Have you ever been to a cave?" I asked, thinking it might be a good place to hunt.
"Although you are free to leave the city in your spare time, I would not recommend hunting there unless you have the urge to die."
Looks like K knows what I'm thinking. K gave me a strange feeling. It didn't feel dangerous but it didn't feel safe with him either.
Usually, when I first meet someone, I immediately know his intentions. Even with the other knight masters, I can figure it out. But K was the first person I could not read his intentions. Actually, it scares me a little.
In front is a building like a big house. It looked broken from the outside as if no one had lived in it for many years. From the building appeared a tall figure. The darkness made the figure unclear.
The figure continued to walk towards us, Monk and Kyle could not help but tremble in fear at the dark figure that was in front of him. Gary's hand held the hilt of his sword ready to strike at any moment.
"Greetings, Mr. K."
"Greetings, Mr. Delbert."
"You think you're so special, don't you, Ray," said Delbert.
I was surprised by this sudden saying, even though Delbert was always hostile towards me, I was surprised he would act like this in front of the other knights and students.
Delbert moved towards me.
"I know you did something to that sword, if it was my decision, I would never let a human like you be here." He looked at me and Kyle.
Delbert approached me until his face almost touched mine. A knife suddenly appeared between us. Sir K has drawn his sword.
"May I warn you, Delbert, that Ray is now a black sash guard and under my protection."
Delbert looked towards K.
"Avrion Academy will soon find out that the prophecy is wrong and we will see who is right."
K shows no reaction to spoken words. Delbert waited for a while before drifting away from me and walking towards the Avrion academy.
"Damn it, I don't know Delbert like that" Kyle said.
This was the thing that surprised me for the monk and Kyle, whereas me and Gary had seen Delbert act like this before.
"It looks like he did it for both of you," said the Monk.
I looked towards Kyle, we both understood. It seems like Delbert hates those with red hair a lot.
Gary walked up to me and whispered.
"What's the talk about the prophecy, do you know anything about it?"
I shook my head pretending I didn't know anything. I guessed what Delbert was talking about. When they came to our town ten years ago, I heard him talking to Wilfred about the prophecy, how they found the other four redheads.
Later in Renny city, the five of us had been given special guards and tutors. We all have one thing in common and that is red hair. I assume if adding to me they managed to find a fifth person, they seem to be gathering people with red hair. It could be a coincidence but I believe it has something to do with their predictions.
There's a difference between me and the other kids. Their hair was completely red, while my hair had black stripes. Their hair has been red since they were born. My hair was originally black then turned red, most likely it was related to my past life.
If the prophecy is looking for a person with red hair, then I'm not the one. They've made mistakes.
