Chapter 146: Quest of Pursuit Part II
Theo woke up, the back of his neck tingling.
“Damn it, these women are cruel.” He opened his eyes and tried to move but found his hands tightly tied behind him and his legs tied to a chair.
“She's up.” He heard a woman's voice.
“Your name?” One of them came up to him and raised his chin. “I suggest you don't lie, or your corpse will be found in the city trench tomorrow.”
Theo blinked. The woman wore a veil over her head and her body was covered in a robe. He obviously did not want to reveal his appearance.
“Theo,” answers honestly while looking around.
It was a narrow room surrounded by dusty statues. Some of the sculptures have been completed while some seem to have only been carved half way. The accumulation of dust dyed the plaster grey and it seemed like the place had long been abandoned. There were no windows in the room so it was impossible to estimate the time, and the only light source was from the oil lamps on the walls.
“You relentlessly searched us from Fallen Dragon Ridge to Silver City,” the woman coldly said, “Why are you looking for us?”
“Not me looking for you, and this is the Witch Cooperation Association.”
“What is the Witch Cooperation Association?”
“The organization of witches like you. I was sent by them to spread the word.”
“Omong empty.” He snaps. “I don't know where you heard that name, but the Witch Cooperation Association is far away in Seawindshire in the Eastern Region. You think we'll trust you just because you mentioned the name?” The woman took out a dagger from her waist. Theo realized that it was the dagger he had used before. “I'll give you one last chance.
