The Long Way to Be a CEO

I've had almost a week off from the office business where I needed so much right now to follow up on some issues that require the presence of a CEO. For me, the valuable experience that I had during my stay in Cirebon with all the problems that happened to me, has given many valuable lessons to be more introspective and always ready anywhere and anytime.

No one thought it would be a disaster. Everyone understands my absence from the company in a week and now it's time for me to pay for everything. Paying for all the performance of the workers and also rania who have been very helpful through the difficult times when I was not here.

“We start the meeting at 10, prepare a report of each” My half-screams to all who are already present in the office.

“Sha.. Are you sure it's okay? You can rest a few days until your wounds heal.” has not had time to finish the words I hinted so that he is not too worried and not to sound the other, so that they do not become worried.

The meeting lasted quite a long time about 3 hours. Most of the problems were resolved before I even got to Jakarta. The five of them are very deft and also there is Dahlan who just that time I saw he was serious about working on some financial documents, to help rania work.

Since he got the job as assistant to Rania and also concurrently as the office maintenance division. He works diligently under the direction of Rania and this shows that he is actually very reliable, later I will give a reward that is worth the performance, and also some other people who back up the task as long as I'm not around.

“We better look for some volunteers who can provide an overview of the experience of playing in Project Oxygen, maybe also create a Debugger team that specifically to record the defects of the application, what do you think Sha?”. Xian gave his views on the lack of HR that can handle the problem of testing applications that will be launched in 2 weeks.

“What needs to create a beta release event, for example, 1000 first users can test the application. As a reciprocal to them, we give some premium items that they can get during this beta release process?”. There is also a point from Zahra's suggestion regarding the application, and also the common thing of the official release is there is always a beta release event that intends to do the tracing of user experience information which will later more review applications then report problems that occurs from existing features.

“Ok, any other suggestions?”. I ask all the teams who are currently in a meeting together to prepare for the release party for Project Oxygen.

Some time, the room is silent, everyone is thinking of other ideas that can help in handling important parts of the application that will be run later, we do not want to bring defective products to the market, especially we are only small companies that try their luck to soar to the surface against other competitors who are no less great. However, I am very confident with the Oxygen project that I created, helped by a great team. It felt like we could deal with the current precarious situation easily.

“Good, First we need 5 debugger team, we can find students majoring in IT. It is cheaper and more efficient for a week. Related to the payment, try to formulate the budget later.  Second, this beta tester event is quite important. Where, they will be the first users who will enjoy this application on all platforms, at least now we are preparing to enter in the app store all devices. Please try, this event is held when there is a debugger team that can also handle if there will be many reports from the beta tester”

“So far, anything else to ask?” I said before ending the discussion from this meeting.

All the ideas from them are very interesting and I was as I thought, this makes the discussion so much easier and faster to be executed together. Stefan's here tomorrow, then, surely he will also provide a lot of input and help other things related to the affairs of the company network which is currently still very few who will participate in the inauguration of the Company as well as the publication of the Project Oxygen application.

“Before that, I say thank you very much to all of you and let's build this company to be even bigger, so many meetings this time I close”. The applause from all the teams made me more excited and impatient until the project went ahead and could be enjoyed by everyone.

After being tired all day in the office I left for a contract that had been more than a week had not had time to stop by. Since I am currently living with my wife in the apartment, I don't think I need to contract a house anymore. Miss Lisa seemed to have called me yesterday while I was in a coma and lying in the hospital, later I would meet her at her house and tell her to finish contracting at her house.

The highway in the afternoon is indeed like hell, especially in the eastern area that connects many cities such as Bekasi, Depok and Bogor, this path is the main road leading to the three big cities, namely, no doubt the streets are very crowded, noisy and of course severely jammed.

“Jam home from work is always like this, it sucks!” he grunted annoyedly as some of the highway users were always looking for an opportunity to robotize through the small gaps between cars that were also stopped due to traffic jams.

“Iya bang, 4pm is always like this ya”. Just a little pleasantry chimed in his words.

“Mas is not in a hurry right?” the question ensures passengers are not being pursued due to important issues.

“I just got home from work bang, relax ko.. Difficult also if you want to cepet until”.

“Quiet mas, I look for a rat road later at the intersection of front” Even though it is heavy for him to be free from the jammed zone but once he still cares about his passengers who want to get home soon to rest.

Sure enough, just a few minutes out of the crossroads, the taxi driver immediately turned his vehicle down the small street of a narrow alley to my contract which is still about 5km away. He probably knew this street a long time ago.

“Wah thank you very much bang, this money” I give money 100 thousand rupiah as a real travel wage only 30 thousand, only, but thanks to his expertise we managed to arrive without the need for long in the streets jammed direction to Bogor.

There Lisa was sitting on a chair on the porch outside her house, with her toddler son, she immediately approached me who she had not seen a while ago, because I was busy with all the affairs and the many events that could not be predicted before.

After hearing my talk, Lisa's mother was very sympathetic to what happened to me. On the other hand I was married which made her so happy when she heard it. Even though we are only limited to the owner and tenant of the rent, but Lisa's mother cares very much for me, she helped a lot in some years I inhabited her house.

After saying goodbye, I packed up some important stuff and all my clothes, the rest, let the house couriers do it tomorrow. Currently I carry some important items, such as computers, laptops and some pairs of clothes that can be entered in the bag.

“Honey, you're home?” I asked Indira by phone to make sure she was already in the apartment, and I currently brought a lot of stuff and will be heading there.

Indira was already in the apartment and I stopped a taxi to his apartment which was 2 hours away if it was in a traffic jam like that. It's nice to be able to rest in the car because it's been really tiring all day.

If only I had received the invitation of Indira who would accompany me today, maybe I would not be this tired, and again actually the wound on the left abdomen is still a little pain and sore. Surely it will make indira angry if you know I still go a lot like this around Jakarta. There is no other choice at this time can only force myself so that all the performance of everyone in my company can be paid, he said, I have to make sure everything goes according to plan without any obstacles in the future that can trouble many people.

If only life could be that easy.....
