CHAPTERS. 27 The Gudytha Family

“So you are the noble mother of the previous queen?” My heart was surprised.

“Iyaa, she is my youngest daughter.” Answer Miss Gudytha.

“He left about 10 years ago. She is a good and beautiful girl. He helps a lot of people around him. His friendly attitude made many people like him. One day he led the battle and won it, so he was invited to the palace to meet the emperor in person. That was the moment my daughter met her husband.” Says madam Gudytha sadly.

Immediately I felt guilty for making the two people in front of me feel sad. I think I asked something at the wrong time. “Sorry for making you sad.” I feel guilty.

After a few moments of calming down, we finally walked towards the back garden. In the park there is a round table in white with various cakes inside. Near the table were several servants at our service. We sat down, the madam ordered the servants to take tea for us.

A waiter came with a trolley containing a wide variety of teas. The smell of tea is smelled from a distance, the color of tea looks so beautiful and charming.

“Western regions are famous for their wide variety of colorful teas made from flowers and various leaves.” Madame Gudytha said as a servant was pouring tea on her cup.

“Iyaa, I also heard about it from grandfather.” I answered when I saw a tea with purple and green.

Another waiter put a pastry in the shape of various types of flowers. The cookies are colorful and look so beautiful. “Miss Lawrence try this, you'll love it.” Say Miss Gudytha to me.

I stared at the cookie, then took 1 for me. When the cake went inside my mouth it was so crisp and sweet. I closed my eyes to enjoy every component of the pastry that melted in my mouth.

“How? Miss likes it, right?” Ask Miss Gudytha back.

I nodded with vigor, making Madam and Miss Gudytha smile happily at my reaction. “Nona I met you when you were 1 year old. You are so weak and pale that it makes me sad to see your situation. You were born prematurely, you were born with a small and weak body as if someone else would easily hurt you. I used to worry about how you would protect yourself with that weak body. However, beyond my expectations you are now growing into a strong and beautiful girl. I'm very proud of you.” Obviously, Madame Gudytha while enjoying the tea in her cup.

“Nona ever see me?” I asked so surprised.
