At Hendrick's house...
Ting... Kegs...
The bell rang, a housekeeper opened a large, dark brown door. He saw an old courier delivering a package.
"For Mr. Hendrick" said the old courier.
"M-Mister Hendrick? sorry we didn't order the package," said the bewildered waiter.
"Oh really, but it's a package on Hendrick's behalf."
"Huh? We didn't order anything on Hendrick's behalf! youunderstand?"
The courier of the package laughed mysteriously. "Never ever."
The butler was beaten by the old courier, until he fainted. The old courier threw away the baton, then with his hands tore the old face attached.
Behind that old face was Sherine's face who was doing her disguise. He took off the fake mustache that stuck to his face.
"I'm sorry, I have to do this" he said to the waiter, who was lying unconscious.
He entered with the face of the servant who was beaten earlier. Under her cover, Sherine walks without anyone suspecting her.
"Hey, who was that in front of the door?" Ask one of the waiters who accidentally met Sherine.
"Nobody, just a prankster" Sherine replied in a servant-like voice disguised by her.
"Oh so, I guess what."
Sherine walked away from the servant, but he was called again by the servant.
"Hey, please turn off the stove. You're going to the kitchen, right?"
"I-yes I'll turn it off."
"Good, thank you." The waiter walked away from Sherine.
In his heart he breathed. "It's a good thing he wasn't suspicious" Sherine said.
Sherine undercover returns to find a place where the residence card was placed.
"Who will put the important card in the warehouse, of course, in a safe place and easy to find, right?" Mumbled.
"Yes, it must be in the room."
His little feet went to the door of the house owner's room. When Sherine got there, she brought her ears closer to the thick wooden door. Sherine heard the voice of a woman singing.
"What is the voice of Miranda?" Ask.
His head turned to the right and left, making sure that no one was there but him.
"Why is she singing, isn't she sad about her husband's death?" Considering this opportunity did not come twice, Sherine finally thought of a plan so that she could enter the room and look for the residence card.
"Servant, are you outside?" Call Miss Miranda from the inside.
"Yes, Madam. You need anything?" Ask Sherine.
"Well, can you bring me a glass of water?"
"Okay, Madam."
Sherine rushed to the kitchen and brought a tray filled with a glass of water for the mistress.
"Mrs, I brought you a glass of water as you please."
"Come in."
Sherine opened the door. He saw the large, neat room with one occupant who was decorating themselves in front of a mirror.
"Put it here" said Miss Miranda.
"Good."
"If you may know, where are you going, ma'am?" Ask Sherine.
"I want to go somewhere, why are you asking? I've already told you," she said while wearing beautiful jewelry.
"Sorry Madam, because I'm old so often forget," Sherine said.
"Oh so, go," he said.
"Because the Madam is leaving, I'm going to clean up this room."
"I've made the bed, you don't have to bother."
"No Madam, this room is still dusty. I just want Madam to be comfortable with this room after leaving later."
Madam Miranda sighed. "Yes already, because you're so adamant." Said Allowing.
"Be careful on the road, ma'am."
After Miranda's mistress leaves, Sherine searches the main evidence of it all over the place even the closed ones. He looked for it in slorok, but it didn't exist.
"Where is that thing stored? Did Miranda take him?" Ask Sherine.
He searches for her again, to a place Sherine has not searched. Under the mattress, he finds a small, unlocked box, possibly containing an important item being sought.
Sherine's eyes are rounded. "Meet!" Pleased speech.
"Which fool would put a residence card in an unlocked box at all."
Then he read the contents of the biodata of the two cards.
EASTERN POPULATION CARD
Name: Thomson Hendrick
Born: Saberia, G. Eastern.
(Saberia is a city located in the East. And G. East is the region where Thomson was born.)
"It turns out to be true, Mr. Thomson is an Easterner."
Sherine immediately put the card into the small pocket of her clothes, then rushed away from there.
Next is to look for the second evidence that is the Cctv recording. But he is not sure because surely irresponsible people must have eliminated the main evidence.
Sherine goes to the security room, where there is a computer connected to the home Cctv. Only one place that Cctv does not install, which is outside the gate and at the entrance. So, Sherine disguised as an old courier was not recorded.
The security room was empty, there was no one standing guard inside. Sherine looks carefully at the footage at the time Thomson was killed.
Sure enough, the footage at the time of the murder is gone. Fortunately, Sherine's efforts to infiltrate are not in vain, because there is other evidence in this house.
Having found one strong piece of evidence, Sherine returns to the law firm's office to meet her partner and gives a result that leaves her stunned.
...****************...
With a feeling of great pleasure, Sherine quickened her footsteps. Not happy to see Lexan, but because he wanted to show the results he got and saw the dumbfounded expression on his partner's face.
Sherine opens the doorknob and–
"Surprise," Lexan said with a smile that others rarely see.
Sherine is shocked to see her partner who has been waiting for her at the door.
"Parkers?!" Sherine said enthusiastically.
"You're finally coming too. You know I have things that make you dumbfounded."
"really?"
"Yes, come here" Lexan pulled Sherine's hand over to his desk.
"What surprise do you want to show me?"
Lexan's carrying a black box. He opened the box. "Before I open this box, you said the forensics doctor wouldn't let me see Thomson's body, would you?"
"Then?"
With an expression of her smile, she showed me a photo. "This is a photograph of the wound on Thomson's body."
"What?! let me see," Sherine said, taking a picture of Lexan's hand.
"It's a puncture wound and–ada a claw wound too?" Ask.
He showed me a bag of plastic with a knife to kill, then took out a detector loaned by Sullivan.
"What is this, Parker?"
"Detection tool."
"And you also carry that knife?!"
"Yep, the forensic doctor allowed me to carry these tools and knives. Now, look at."
As he had done before in front of Sullivan's doctor, he now showed again what would make Sherine's expression dumbfounded as Sullivan's.
"This knife originally had a blood stain on it, like a fingerprint. And look at this picture."
Lexan showed me a photo that read COMPLETE as it was on the screen.
"You mean, the word COMPLETE means that Mr. Robert was convicted of murder?"
"Yes, the forensic doctor initially agreed with the results because he was also convinced that Mr. Robert was guilty. But, after the knife that stained his blood I've cleaned and this knife is inserted into the detector, the result is–"
Big posts appeared FAILED. Sherine was stunned to see the actual results.
"The conclusion was, the blood did belong to master Robert but the fingerprints were not. So, Mr. Robert is not proven guilty." Lexan.
"Who's fingerprint then?"
"Well, that's the question. It looks like it's been recorded in Mr. Robert's name" Lexan said.
"That means–this tool needs someone involved also in one room at the time of the incident, right?" Ask Sherine.
"Yes," he said, still watching the detector.
"Maybe this can help," shows the residency card.
Lexan's eyes are round. "How can you?!"
Now it's Sherine's turn to smile. "I snuck into Hendrick's house and took more important evidence, besides the tape."
Lexan took the card from Sherine's hand. Read it carefully. She's shocked.
"So–tuan Thomson and mistress Miranda are Eastern people's–?" Ask Lexan.
Sherine Nodding. "They have two residence cards."
"What?! but how can it be?"
"Of course it's about money. They'll pay a fortune to disguise their identity."
"And how do you know a little thing like this is what completes our evidence?"
"At Hendrick's house, there are a lot of mysteries that have not been revealed. But, thanks to help from Hudson's mom, I was able to find one of the many mysteries."
His eyes sparkled on the residency card Sherine had given him. "Impressive," he said, developing a smile.
Sherine realizes that for several hours she was in a room full of evidence, there is a rare moment, which is to see Lexan smiling like a child who just bought a toy by his parents.
Without Sherine realizing it, she had just smiled staring at that rare moment. "It turns out that making Parker smile is easy huh" he murmured.
"What?"
"No, I mean are you done looking at that thing?"
"Oh yes. But first I wanted to ask you one thing."
"What's that?"
"Who's Hudson's mom?"
"One of the seniors in the detective organization."
"Ah don't tell me, he's the guy you met in Helton town."
Sherine nodded. "So–when are you going to put that thing on the device?"
"Well, so first set the tool according to the biodata from Miranda. After processing, then insert this knife."
They wait for long the results that come out of the tool. But it turned out to be fruitless.
"Why is that?" Ask Lexan.
"Is something wrong?"
"It seems like what I did was right."
"Then?"
"I don't know it looks like this biodata is lacking. And I have to ask Dr. Sullivan again about this device."
"But it's okay, Sherine's good work. You astonished me with an unexpected result," While giving the residency card.
"You too, I didn't think the forensic doctor would let you."
"As you said, money can fool everything."
Both of them were relieved after their first mission was completed. Ya–at least grateful for what they got in the beginning is a step so they can keep going forward. Next what—
"Yo, man!" Greet a man who walked into Lexan's room without knocking on the door.
"You?" Lexan did not believe it.
The man immediately shook Lexan's hand like a familiar person. Actually the man was about to hug her, but Lexan with a face did not like to spare his body from the man. From his stature the man was of the same age as Lexan.
"Why not knock on the door–"
"Hey! I think I know you?!" The man said enthusiastically to see Sherine.
Sherine immediately tidied up the evidence, as the man approached her right near a table full of important items.
Sherine. "You're kan–"
"You're the hooded girl that was on the train yesterday, right?" Ask the man.
"I-iya, and you–"
"Kyle Rochford" The man immediately shook Sherine's hand enthusiastically.
"Oh–Satherine Dawson," she said, but Sherine would not shake her hand considering what she was doing.
"Have you met?" Ask Lexan.
"We met on the train by accident. Oh yes, about yesterday please forgive me. I really didn't mean to make fun of you like that" she still clasped Sherine's hand tightly.
"Scoffs?" Ask Lexan.
Sontak Sherine took off the hand forcibly.
Lexan passed the back of his friend while whispering. "Campus."
"Once again I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable" Kyle said, fearing not being forgiven.
Sherine breathed. "That's okay, I forgive you," while curtailing her smile.
Suddenly Lexan is surprised by Sherine's attitude, as well as Kyle who slowly smiles back.
"Really?" Ask Kyle.
"Yes, I'm also sorry for getting carried away by emotions."
"Thank God, I don't think you'll ever forgive me."
"No way," muttered Lexan who was still shocked.
"Since you have apologized and said the reason, it is only natural that I forgive. Instead of you being quiet but pretending not to know, I don't know if there's still guilt in her" Sherine said, glancing at Lexan's eyes.
While the person who was stared at even returned cynical.
"He's my partner, detective Sherine Dawson. You don't have to ask me what case I'm working on right now. And the thing you should be doing is getting out of my room right now."
"What's? come on, guys, can we have a little chat?"
"I'm busy, go Kyle."
Finally Lexan pushed the body of his friend forcefully out the door. Without any words, Lexan instantly closed the door was rude.
