The King's
Episode 61

Zahid did not like those words. Divorce. All this time she had been avoiding Layla for not wanting to hear those words in her ears. But now, that word had been spoken from the mouth of the perermpuan who had just woken up Before today, perhaps Zahid would overreact when he heard that word. But now, he's calmer. Because her mother had awakened her. The difference in age between Zahid and Layla is indeed too far, fifteen years. At the moment, Layla seems to be able to achieve whatever she wants. While Zahid can only live what is in front of him as well as possible. Zahid also could not have forced the legitimate woman to be his wife to serve him. She's afraid of hurting Layla's young body. So ... .

"Do what you want. I will prepare myself to leave your company and your life" Zahid said and walked out of his own room. He was eager to get down from the second floor but his steps were stuck on the stairs. For thirty-six years of his life, it was only this time that Zahid had no power whatsoever. He sat in the middle of the stairs and could only look towards the backyard. Where he realized he liked the woman who now might soon become his ex-wife.

Layla was stunned by the answer given by her husband. Divorce has long been a consideration for both. It was just that it could not be said as the two of them indeed rarely met. But now, it seemed like Layla could give it all up. If this divorce brings good things to Mr. Zahid, then so be it. He could not hold the man to a better family than having to be with him. Although her heart ached, Layla took a deep breath and got out of bed. He should prepare dinner soon. At least, as long as the two of them were still husband and wife, Layla wanted to do as well as possible.

He came down from the room and found no man anywhere. Is Mr Zahid out? Layla didn't hear the car flares coming out of there, so the man must still be here. Layla went into the kitchen and began to think about what to cook.

"You don't have to cook"

Layla was surprised by the voice that suddenly appeared behind her.

"But ... "

"Since we are soon apart, do not do anything troublesome. Besides, your cooking isn't so good"

"What?"

"You better start studying the company and don't do anything else that's useless"

Was useless? Not so good? Why didn't Layla get angry at the taunts. Was the cooking not delicious all this time? Layla was busy thinking and not realizing that her husband was close to her. A strong male fragrance enveloped his body and it made him claustrophobic.

Layla was forced to shift so as not to get too close to her husband.

"It seems like my cooking isn't too bad"

"Oh yeah. Did you try it?"

"Yes. During my stay alone, I also cooked"

"Your tongue must be broken"

"What?"

"Order food only. Than I should poison your cooking. Because of returning to being a princess, it seems like your cooking skills are gone unnoticed"

Upset, that's how Layla feels now. She rarely cooks because she is alone. But what the cuisine is so bad that it has to get the mockery.

"And don't talk to me, either!"

This time Layla no longer understood the man's request.

"meaning?"

"Call me with respect. I'm fifteen years older than you"

"Ah" Layla realized that these few days she had always used this man's casual language. "All right" he said in agreement.

"The first thing you have to do to become a company leader is appear confident and do not want to be humbled by others. Not like this"

"What?"

Layla couldn't believe it. He's gonna receive training to be President Director? Unbelievable. But ... maybe he needs it. After all, there will be no one who can prepare it other than Mr. Zahid. The man who now serves as President Director of the Graham Company. When Layla thought, she did not know that the man she was with was always watching her movements. Like wanting to record everything in detail, with nothing to miss.

"alright. I'd love to receive training from you"

"Then, the first training begins. Don't listen to other people's taunts and do what you think is right"

"???" Layla doesn't understand anymore.

"Cooking. I was hungry" said the man, then came out of the kitchen and sat in the dining room. Wha what?? Layla's cooking was ridiculed and now? Holding back the upset, Layla immediately picked up the groceries from the fridge and started cooking.

"Please" said Ambar and then served a simple meal that he could cook quickly.

"Sit down!"

"No me ... "

"You must not feel shame or bad about others if you want to be a good President. You should be a little .. selfish"

Hearing this, Layla sat in front of her husband. He ate quietly, without saying a single word. Every now and then, Layla also saw the man in front of her enjoying his food.

The night is getting late and Layla is now done washing the dishes. He made iced coffee and went to the upper bedroom. There turned out to be Mr. Zahid who was lying on the bed.

"Oh, I'd better sleep downstairs"

"Just sleep here. I won't do anything to you either"

"But ... " Layla is hesitant.

"Two years married, I never touched you. So ... What's the problem now? After all, from today on we are no longer husband and wife. Only teachers and students are forced to live together"

Layla was astonished. This man was so easy to talk like he felt nothing in his heart. Layla remembers when they kissed this morning. Layla felt warmth from her husband. But now ... Everything has changed. Probably because of Mrs Hannah's words and Layla's divorce request.

"Yes" Layla gives up. He placed his iced coffee on the table and slowly sat down on the edge of the bed.

"Never sleep too late"

"What?"

"You need full power for tomorrow morning. So, get enough sleep every night or you won't be able to face anyone in the company"

Layla said she would take over the leadership of the company. Why does this man continue to give him advice?

"But, you often don't sleep said Mr. Boni"

"I'm a man and I don't sleep because of my profession. But you ... "

Layla bit her lower lip. True too, this man is used to taking pictures that do not know the time. Unlike him who always needs a night's sleep. Not wanting to hear any more advice from the man lying next to her, Layla decided to go to bed. That night, he slept well until the morning sun came to say hello.
