"Are you still in that shabby apartment?"

Layla simply replied to her father's question with a nod.

"Until when are you not going to be at home with your own husband?"

"Dad doesn't have to take care of that"

"Dad doesn't like you being close to Zahid, it's just, the rumors are growing too troubling"

Tonight, Layla shouldn't have gone home and waited for her parents to arrive at the Company's birthday party. If only her mother had not forced her to wear a prepared dress, Layla would not have talked to her father like this.

"As long as the company keeps going and getting better. Layla thinks it's no problem"

"How can it not matter when my daughter is made like a pitiful creature cheated on by her husband?" added his mother who entered his father's workroom out of nowhere. Turns out this was Layla's mother's true purpose in calling her home.

"Mom, Stop. We'll be late later"

"Mom doesn't care. You should go back to one house. Either you go back to that house or you live in your husband's apartment"

For a year Layla thought her parents wouldn't care about this. They know this marriage is not a marriage with love. But, now why would they fuss over something like this just because of the news headlines that always cornered him?

"I wouldn't do that" Layla said firmly without seeing her parents.

"What??? Then you're divorced" her mother screamed. Layla was forced to look at her mother who started crying and took a deep breath.

"There's a reason Mr. Zahid is in his current position. layla understands that and won't question father's decision. But ... doesn't mean Layla has to sacrifice everything just for dad's purposes. So let Layla do it all in Layla's own way Ma'am"

His father stayed behind his big desk. Not to deny the words of his daughter.

"But baby. My kid. I don't want you to be sued compared to ... " Not done yet her mother spoke, Layla interjected.

"Layla never cared about that, ma'am. The most important thing is the company and all the employees in it. Now ... can we not make them wait again and leave immediately?"

Layla came out of her father's study and did not feel sad at all.

Like the company's other official parties, Layla came with her parents and in-laws. But ...he did not enter the venue with them. He chose to enter quietly and remain on the edge of the party and invisible. Even when her husband came with any woman, she would never see. Layla has been doing this for eight months and survived anyone's observation. Including the media that over time forgot his face.

Being among the shadows of decorations is not always fun. Sometimes he accidentally meets his co-workers at the company Raya and looks for various reasons not to seem strange at Graham Real Estate party. But, this time there was something different when her husband entered the room. According to everyone, her husband did not take any woman. Is Sarah or any of the women she used to come with busy? layla thought she had disappeared from the lights again.

"I didn't think you'd be here again" said Raya, who looked so beautiful.

"Why is that?"

"Because it's a special event. Your father's corporate birthday" he whispered.

"It makes no difference"

"You're crazy"

"You just found out?"

"Your husband is here, do you want to come with me to greet him?" the Canda Raya is preparing to congratulate Mr. Zahid.

"No thanks Boss" Layla can only smile to let Raya go to the middle of the room and chat like other company owners. It's great, and Layla hasn't been able to be on the same level as them.

The company's birthday party is coming to an end and Layla is preparing to go home when someone suddenly sits in a chair next to her. A person who caused the attention of many people was directly aimed at him. Layla saw an expensive black suit with a tie made of the same material as her dress. He immediately fixed his careless sitting then whispered.

"What are you doing here?"

"It turns out you can see everything that's going on from this place. It's only fitting that you're always here and not beside me" the man replied in a very relaxed manner. But the media and other employees started to approach and talk about them. Damn,

"Can you go?" whisper again, now with a different emphasis.

"Why? Only now can I find my wife's hideout at every party"

Whahuh? Are these men looking for her at every party they attend? But why did he never know? Ah, it's not something that matters now, he thought. But, why did bru now this man find her? They attended many of the same events. Layla grew increasingly suspicious when she saw her mother's behavior far in front of the podium.

"What do you want?" tanyakanya.

"We're both in the same house"

"I don't want to"

"Not that house"

Layla looked over and was astonished. Not that house? What does this man mean? Does Mr. Zahid want him to live in his apartment that is always crowded with visitors?

"We'll stay at my house. If you forget, we did something there" the man continued, making Layla remember one place. Mr. Zahid's house. Layla's house had been a domestic assistant for four months.

As Layla was busy thinking, the man got up from his seat. But back again to put his suit into Layla's body.

"You're sitting right in front of the air conditioner" the man said and left, leaving Layla amid the curiosity of many. Not wanting to make trouble, he chose to leave the party immediately. Outside the party, Layla is greeted by Frank.

"All your belongings have been moved to Mr. Abassy's house"

"Mom must have planned all this"

"Do you want to stay at the hotel tonight?" ask Frank.

"No. This time I will obey my mother's wishes" he replied.

"But ... "

"I can take care of myself Frank, don't worry!"

"None"

Layla got into the car still in her husband's suit and left for a house she had never seen. In her heart, there was a sense of pleasure from soon being able to see the house where she had first met her husband.
