Zahid hugged Lucas' sister for a few minutes until Sarah's crying voice disappeared. After making sure Sarah calmed down a little, Zahid let go of his embrace.
"I'm sorry. I ... "
Sarah did not let him speak anymore and hit Zahid's chest hard enough.
"I will never forgive you. For me, you killed my brother" he said, leaving Zahid feeling very guilty.
He shouldn't have forgotten Lucas despite his busy schedule. He should have made sure Lucas had a brilliant career after Zahid left the duo. He shouldn't have been too busy with what the Fuck's Great Lord had prepared and let Lucas. Zahid knelt on his friend's grave and wept. He couldn't wake up when Boni came looking for him. Boni lifted a body much larger than him to get into the car. Boni had told someone to bring the car Zahid used back to the apartment. Now, Boni is driving towards the house that Zahid just bought a month ago. A house with a location that is not yet known by the company and fans.
"I've told the Director that you're going to rest for a few days. Don't think of anything and don't open your phone!"
Zahid complied and immediately lay on the bed that had just come this morning. Boni looked at Zahid's empty eyes and felt pity. Twenty-two-year-old boy faced with the cruelty of the entertainment world.
"The world knows neither friends nor acquaintances. When you've decided to climb to the top on your own then there's nothing your friend can do. Everyone will eventually fight alone if indeed they can survive in this harsh world. It's possible that Lucas wasn't the one who could struggle on this path and decided that what he did set him free. So ... Don't feel so guilty and get up"
Zahid smiled sinisterly and closed his eyes. He knew everything Boni said was true after being in this world for seven years. But ... It doesn't make him comfortable. Lucas was not a new friend. Lucas was the one who accepted it when Zahid was away from his parents. Lucas is the best friend who lets him into a warm house and Zahid betrays him for granted. He should have let his family just crumble, but .. everything has happened and there is no word of retreat anymore.
He could only lie on the bed, curl his arms around his knees and feel very guilty towards Lucas and his family.
He is still in the same room. She was staring at the photo of her smiling friend next to her sister. Aunt Martha congratulates him without knowing that Graham's family was one of the reasons Lucas left.
"Damn it!!!" he said he threw a pillow on the floor.
He is also like a stupid man who has no limits and just falls in love with a girl who was never even known and had hated it. Layla's. What is that woman doing now?
Layla sighed a few times as her mother asked her which dress she would wear this Saturday. Her mother was very excited when her birthday was used for another agenda.
"Do you like this pink color?" asking her mother didn't make Layla look interested.
"Young lady"
Layla finally turned to the picture in her mother's hand after getting a reprimand from the waiter who could be called her nanny.
"I don't like it"
"really? I thought you liked it. What about this blue dress? It looks too dark"
Layla returned to her head as a sign of not liking her mother's choice of dress. She will not care about the dress she wears on Saturday night. He must only be there as a party display when Mr. Zahid mobbed people later. The party guests chose to approach the company's successors rather than single girls who had not even graduated from school.
"Sorry, I'll excuse you for a moment. Mom has good taste" she said, leaving her mother with some of the country's most famous dress designers. Even though what he did was disrespectful, but his head hurt a lot. She could not bear the pain and kept trying to smile like she was having fun with her engagement plan.
How could he feel something in a man that would eventually destroy his dream? He should never have run away from home and met the man. He shouldn't have let Mr. Zahid treat him so sweetly and ... .
"URGGHHH" he shouted, keeping his mouth shut.
Now, there's nothing else he can do. Just living the day and the path her father had made.
Layla chose to sleep until midnight. She no longer met the mother who always urged her to choose a dress and a grim-faced father. Layla comes out of the room and meets Frank in a side garden.
"Miss just woke up?"
"Yes"
"What do you feel good about tonight?"
"Better than this morning"
"Do you want to take a walk?"
Layla really wants a fairy from home tonight. But Frank is not young anymore. He had to understand that and go back to the room.
"No, I'd better get back"
Before he went back inside the house, Layla turned around and asked Frank something.
"Will you keep your promise to me?"
"The Great Master wants you to have a high education. Of course the Great Lord will keep his promise. You don't have to worry"
Layla smiles at Frank and proceeds back to the room. Shortly after returning to his room, there was a waiter who was delivering food. Frank must have ordered the waiter to make him some food. Layla ate her lunch and dinner slowly and then went to sleep again.
The next day, Layla wakes up feeling better. He ate breakfast with his father and mother without causing any uncomfortable situation.
"Mom decided on red for your dress. What say?"
"I'll wear it with pleasure" she replied, smiling at her mother.
"Home time, you'll have lunch with your future husband. Frank will take you there" his father said, leaving Layla shocked. Lunch with Zahid? Wh-wh-what for? Are they not sure they will get married? There's nothing more to talk about this. What was the purpose of lunch this time? Why didn't Frank tell him anything last night?
Layla is preoccupied with the questions that arise in her head and does not realize breakfast time has run out. He went back to the room and saw that his phone had run out of battery, probably since yesterday afternoon. After turning on the phone, Layla saw some incoming messages. One of them was a message from Raya asking about her sudden marriage. There was also a message from one of the college friends asking about her condition. Layla smiled at her friend who at least really cared about her situation right now.
