The King's
Episode 47's

"Why?" the man asked suddenly after he finished kissing Layla.

"I told you Mr. Zahid shouldn't have done this"

"What's? Kiss you? You're my wife" Layla can't fight back when the man takes her to bed and starts giving kisses on her neck and chest.

"We're only getting married because dad needs a successor for the company"

"What do you mean?"

"Pak Zahid should immediately familiarize himself with this new position and try to take responsibility more seriously"

Layla was not at all daunted by the gaze of her husband who was in front of her. He stared straight at the sharp eyes that seemed to be able to release his skin.

"Is this because of the news you just heard?"

It turned out that this man knew about the news, Layla thought. It was very brave of these men to think they could do this after putting women in the hotel where they got married a few hours ago.

Layla tried to get up and push the man from above her body and then stood up and away from the bed.

"I don't really care about the rumours you've caused anyone. It's none of my business anyway"

"What?"

"I'd better sleep somewhere else while Mr. Zahid rests. Good night" Layla said, grabbing her phone on the table and exiting the room that was supposed to be her bride's night witness.

Zahid could not believe what he had just experienced on his wedding bed. The wife he had just married had refused openly to serve him. She actually felt guilty for causing trouble on her wedding day. However, Zahid was surprised by the reaction Layla showed. She thought the woman had liked her since they were still employers and domestic assistants. Is he wrong? No, it doesn't seem to. Layla did not reject the touch she was given. Even Zahid was sure Layla was enjoying the kiss they were doing. Then, what is this?

Zahid lay on the bed and felt very tired. Everything that happened today was so tired. And he should sleep and not think about anything. Because tomorrow, he has to go to another country to take care of the business of the company he just led for two months. Before long, Zahid fell asleep and did not speak a word Layla wanted to hear.

The next day, Zahid came out of the room ready for work. He didn't see Layla anywhere.

"Miss this early in the morning went to the University" reported one of the servants in the new house. Zahid sighed and ate his breakfast before Boni came and laid out his schedule of activities today.

"We're leaving this afternoon, I've got all your stuff in the car ready"

"All right"

"Yesterday's problem has been resolved. No one's gonna bother Sarah and her mother."

"Good"

They both came out of the house and saw a woman walking from the Graham family's main house.

"Mrs Graham"

"You're supposed to call me by another name now, Zahid"

"I'm sorry"

"It's okay. I also don't expect us to get that close in such a short time"

Zahid felt an aura of anger in every word thrown by his mother-in-law. It must be because of the problem that happened yesterday.

"Is there anything I should know?" asked Zahid trying to find out the contents of his mother-in-law's heart.

"I understand you're married to Layla just for the company's successor matter. But ... Never show it in public"

After giving such a warning, Madam Graham immediately turned around and walked back towards the main house. His shoulders were straight and seemed to be moving downwards. Zahid now began to feel guilty, he opened his cell phone and contacted his wife. Three tries and then gives up because Layla doesn't pick up her phone. Even the two messages Zahid sent while in the car on his way to the company were not read by the twenty-year-old woman.

"Zahid" called Boni from the front passenger seat. Zahid looked up and stuffed his phone into a suit pocket.

"Is there a problem?"

"We need to leave right now. No time for the company at all"

"All right"

Zahid got out of the car and immediately moved to a private plane of the Graham family which he had been using since serving as President. She immediately drowned in her new role and forgot about the trouble that had occurred this morning.

Layla was looking at a scene she had never encountered while living in the Graham family home. Maybe because of a new perspective, now Layla can see the ranks of cypress trees that surround the boundary wall of her family's land. The new house he had been living in for a week was starting to feel comfortable. Maybe because he's back to living alone, like before. The man who became her husband is reportedly taking care of important business abroad and does not know when to return. Layla is increasingly convinced that their marriage is really only due to the issue of the company's successor. There was no feeling between him and his former employer. And for the events that had happened before, Layla chose to think that it was just something that was not important. They are in a different position from now on and it's best that Layla forget about everything soon. Including the kiss that her husband did on their wedding day.

"Mom's coming again?"

"Why do you feel you're not happy about mom's arrival?"

"No. Of course I'm happy. But it was supposed to be Layla who went to the main house"

"Your father's a bitch and I don't want to see him"

"Is it because there is no work?"

"Yes. Well, then, I hope your dad doesn't retire"

Layla smiled at the news that made her a little amused. To spend twenty-four hours with his father every day at home must be terrible.

"Zahid hasn't come home yet?"

Layla placed her teacup on the table and looked towards the spacious courtyard to her right, trying to avoid answering to this matter.

"What about your final assignment?"

And her mother kindly changed the subject.

"good. Everything went well. Maybe another semester will all be over"

"Then, what will my daughter do after that?"

Layla was silent at her mother's question. But this time he did not turn around and just stared deeply into those brown eyes. Actually, Layla hasn't thought of getting there at all. He was too busy pursuing all the courses he had left for the previous six months.

"Come" he replied doubtfully.

"You'll find out soon enough. Don't worry" replied his mother trying to cheer up.

"But, Mum. Can I have a dream like that?"

"What?" Her mother couldn't believe the question that had just come out of Layla's mouth.

"Layla means. Now Layla is someone's wife and ... "

"Layla darling. Dad and mom don't marry you to Zahid to make you bury all your dreams. Your father wanted you to make all your wishes come true without having to think about the company"

Never once did Layla think about this. He thought, his father hated him so much that he did not want to continue the company in his hands. But ... it turns out.

"Is that true?"

"Layla, why do you think that? Your father and mother love you very much. You're our only daughter"

Her mother must not have known that what she had just said melted down the wall that was in Layla's head and heart. He felt like he was free from the restraints he had made himself.so, all this time his parents loved him. Mewreka just doesn't want to keep him within the company.

"Thank you Ma'am. I don't know how valuable that is to Layla"

The mother and son hugged tightly. But Layla's mother thinks her daughter is very strange. How can parents not love their own children.
