Zahid looked at the watch in his hand and took turns staring at the dark sky outside his room from the window. Just this afternoon he came home from China and immediately returned to the company to work. But he took a break to drink the pot of coffee he asked Boni.
"I didn't know your body was so strong. Though you haven't exercised in a long time" said Boni, making him take his eyes off the dark sky outside.
"I'm getting used to it" he replied and then returned to the back of the table.
Two months ago perhaps Zahid would have never imagined being able to say this. He felt exhausted when he had just become President and could not rest even eat enough. Now, he is more accustomed and can give his body time to rest when not too busy.
"We haven't been home for more than three weeks. And once we get home, we'll have to keep working"
Zahid understood that Boni was exhausted. His background as an assistant actor did not support his new post. Maybe because of his more work, Boni's body began to shrink.
"If you're tired, go home! I can finish it and go home" replied Zahid.
"I was also amazed at the woman I knew. I thought he was good. But why is it like this?" asked Boni and posed like a grim.
"Who?"
"Cameleon"
Hearing the name of the woman who was three weeks less seen made Zahid's penah stop moving.
"I thought that woman was watching you"
"Go home!" zahid orders Boni to start talking about his new wife.
"Look, you noticed it too. You liked each other and decided to get married. Turns ... "
Zahid was increasingly upset by the comments made by Boni.
"You better get home!"
Hearing Zahid's warning, it turns out that Boni did not stop.
"What ... have you guys done the first night?"
Zahid threw the file on his desk in Boni's face. Just this time he did this to the assistant who had accompanied him fifteen years.
"Done everything. I went home" Zahid stood up from his chair and walked out, leaving Boni in his room.
He reached the basement and found his bodyguard ready there by car.
"Mr Abassy"
"I want to go home" he said, and the car door was opened by his bodyguard.
Zahid's car runs smoothly into the Graham family home. It looks like a two-story house but smaller than the Graham family's main house. The car door opened again and Zahid came down in front of the house he had just left once.
"We'll pick you up tomorrow morning. Mr. Boni had ordered us to come at seven in the morning" Zahid's bodyguard said and left along with his car. Zahid walked into the house hesitantly. Many questions popped up inside his head when the door was in front of his face. Does that woman miss him? Is Layla waiting for him behind the door? Did his wife feel lost from being away from him?
The questions soon disappeared as the maid opened the door of the house. There was a sense of disappointment appearing in his heart.
"Welcome, young master. Mr and Mrs Big Wish to invite you to dinner but consider if you're tired then it's canceled"
"Yes" answered Zahid and looked inside the house.
"The young lady has not yet returned from the University" reported the maid, who is about fifty years old.
"Yes"
Zahid was guided by the servant into the room he had slept in once.
"no need. I just want to sleep" Zahid replied, closing the door behind him.
He saw a quiet empty room. It is better to stay in a hotel than a quiet house like this, he thought then went to the bathroom.
Layla came home from the University library just at midnight. His quiet home now feels different. There were some bodyguards that he had never seen before.
"Good night young lady" said the maid who was surprisingly still in her house.
"Good night. Why ... ?"
Uncompleted she asked, her servant informed her that Mr. Abassy, her husband had come home from outside duties and was now sleeping in their room. Layla stood still in the living room and was unable to take another step. He shouldn't have come home tonight and studied till morning. But late, he was home.
After her servant returned to the main house, Layla tiptoed towards the only room in this house. For three weeks she had never thought about the man who became her husband. Not because he forgot but his busy work on the final task is very high. Trying to open the door slowly and then enter the room and see the wide back on the bed. Thankfully, the man slept. He just needed to pick up a change of clothes and his belongings and then go to the lower library room.
"What are you doing here?"
The question in a deep and hoarse voice managed to shock Layla. He dropped a change of clothes and the toiletries he had in his hand. Mr. Zahid paid no attention to the items that fell to the floor and showed a sleepy look.
"Sorry, I'm interrupting the break ... "
"Get out! I need a toilet"
Layla thinks that this man caught her, apparently ...
"Yes" he answered by scooping up all of his fallen belongings and stepping away from the bathroom.
This was an opportunity for her to get out of the room but Layla was standing in front of the bathroom like a fool. And when the man came out of the bathroom, Layla just turned away.
"Get me some warm lemon tea!" mr. Zahid's orders astonished Layla.
"What?" He's never been told to do anything since returning home a few months ago.
"Get me some warm lemon tea! Can't you hear?"
Feeling irritated by the irritated tone voiced by her former employer, Layla came out of the room and went to the kitchen. Somehow he began to remember the days when he became a household assistant Mr. Zahid.
"Here, sir" he said, and offered a glass of warm lemon tea to his former employer.
"Let's put it on the table!" answer the man who sat facing him.
"I'm going to sleep. You better rest"
A few seconds before she came out of the room, she heard her husband's voice again.
"Can't we go back to being like six months ago?"
Layla's mouth was stuck. His brain presents all the memories of his heart always pounding when it was close to his former employer. But it's over. There is no name of this man in his life goals going forward.
"Can't" he replied firmly and looked at the dark black eyes that were like peeling off his skin.
Suddenly the black eyes lowered and never saw him again.
"I'll buy an apartment near the company. And I guess, your parents wouldn't mind that as long as we're attending every important event together"
Layla's breathing shortened, her heart heating up after hearing the man in front of her say that. There was a part of his body that rejected the word.
"I agree" But he can't shake his strong desire to build a business empire to prove himself to his father.
Now he sits in his own library. Trying to find a justification for what he did. A water thread slowly flowed from his eyes. Don't know why. But his heart hurts so much now.
