AMANDA'S ANGER

"To get married I leave it all to Laura. Laura did not want to get married suddenly".

"Of course I want to, baby. I'm willing to be your wife whenever you ask me to marry Austin" Laura said in a statement.

Laura's words shocked Austin. That statement they had not arranged before. Laura spoke on her own accord. Without Austin asking to play a show or lie to everyone.

"Darling? Do you really mean what you say?"

"of course. I'm so sure of Austin", Laura replied with confidence.

Connors and Amanda were silent, only the look of hatred was emanating from Amanda's face. Connors was in his heart. He was really jealous to see Laura say that to Austin.

"Then let's just set your wedding date. Papa wants to see you get married as soon as Austin does. How about next month?", asked Dunan looking very enthusiastic.

Laura and Austin looked at each other.

"That's too long pa, I want to marry this weekly Laura too. Marriage is for the nuclear family only. What do you think dear?", asked Austin as he stared at the friendly two black beads Laura.

"Maybe you want a simple marriage, but not necessarily with your future wife, son" said Marco, who smiled more.

"No uncle. Austin and I had the same idea. We want a simple wedding that only the nuclear family can attend. Considering I don't have both of my parents anymore" Laura replied.

Dunan looked like her head was nodding. "Alright, papa agrees with the idea. You're getting married next week".

"Dunan of course you can't easily accept this girl into our family. You should investigate her family background first. What if the family has a lot of scandals, it can tarnish your good name, Dunan!"

"You should also investigate this woman's past. Don't you want a legitimate descendant as your successor later", ketus Amanda excited.

"You take it easy, my future wife is a fine woman. Laura is not an ambitious woman to be rich by justifying every means, including ruining someone else's marriage" replies Austin.

"What do you mean Austin. You don't know shit. It was your mother who left your father, on her own will. So it wasn't my fault that your dad married me", when Amanda defended herself. The one Austin responded with a cynical smile.

"I have to go now, I have a meeting soon" Connors said. Dunan nodded her head, giving permission.

Connors left the room not without reason, he held his anger during the inside. He almost pulled Laura away with him.

Austin's words made Amanda's face look red. "You...!"

"Your sons never change, he always opposes me. Why don't you just kick him out, Dunan. Our lives would be much quieter as usual if he were in his place in Manhattan"

"Amanda, you know very well. I've wanted my real son Austin back to Toronto for a long time. You don't ruin everything. So keep your talk. You should be grateful that your son Connors I appointed deputy director of my company. But for the helm, I'm not Amanda's blind. Austin is much more worthy than your beloved son".

"Your son is not worthy to replace you, Dunan. You will regret your decision. I'm gonna prove all of my words are true. Just so you know, your son also chose the wrong woman as his companion. I'll prove all these words to me", harden Amanda in a loud voice while turning her body out of the room while slamming the door.

Austin smiled triumphantly. While his fingers rubbed the back of Laura's hand which was above her thighs.

"What is the happy father marrying such a woman?", asked Austin without hesitation.

It looks like Dunan breathed his breath. The tired wrinkles on his face were obvious. The man leaned his back. "Papa's guilty to you Austin. To your mama, you and Kimmy. Forgive papa. Even if it's too late papa wants to fix our relationship, son. Just you and Kimmy my kids. Everything I've built since I was young is yours. As for Amanda, I gave her son a position as a representative in the company, without disturbing yours and Kimmy's. Because Connors will remain under your control" Dunan said.

Austin looked at his father's aging and tired face. "I'm ready to replace papa in this company" Austin said with certainty. Dunan and Marco were delighted to hear that.

A few minutes later..

"Thank you for asking people to take care of my tree house" Austin said.

Dunan looked at her beloved son. "Of course you'll never forget your childhood and your sister's. The most beautiful memories we had while living in that house, but I had destroyed them in an instant" Dunan said in a hoarse voice withstanding deep regret if she remembered her past memories.

"It is important that we remain a family. And soon our family will be more crowded" said Austin smiling.

Dunan and Marco nodded their heads. "You're right, son. Give papa a lot of grandchildren later".

Austin immediately smiled at his father's request. "Oh of course. Isn't it so dear.?", asked Austin as he looked at Laura who was replying to him with perfectly glaring irises.
