TWO DIFFERENT PLACES

"Where's your son's father, Laura? Why isn't she on her son's special day?"

"I'm a single parent..."

Hearing Laura's reply made Austin exhale. With facial expressions it is difficult to interpret.

"Thank you for accepting that piece of cake. I owe you a lot, because you made Qiana happy on this special day" Laura said sincerely.

Austin saw the check that Laura wrote.

"You're this.I told you how many times, forget it. That's not a problem for me!", exclaimed Austin looking annoyed.

"But..I'm not good Austin" Laura replied quickly.

"Let's go home, Kimmy. I have to meet Matteo and Domi now", ketus Austin to his sister.

"Qiana.until we meet again" said Austin pinching the little girl's cheeks slowly. Then kiss the top of his head.

"Are you going to see me again?", asked Qiana with both perfectly rounded eyes.

"Of course" answered Austin. At a glance his neutral looked at Laura who was silent unmoved. Austin stood up and directly turned his body without saying anything more to Laura who was staring at him for a moment.

Looking at Austin's behavior, it made Laura feel bad for herself. He feels guilty. But how, Qiana damaged Austin's cell phone, surely Laura must be responsible.

"Laura we go home first. See you later".

"Yes Kimmy. Bye Noah" Laura replied smilingly.

"Bye aunt Laura.. bye Qiana" Noah said as he waved his hand.

"Sister... What's really going on between sister and Laura? Why do you guys seem to have known each other for so long?", asked Kimberly for a moment already in the car.

"I met her at the Matteo cafe. He became the manager there", Austin replied without looking at Kimberly. The male netra was seen focusing on the wide stretch of road. But honestly his mind was fixed on Laura. "It turns out she's a single parent", inner Austin.

"We met again when I picked up Noah. Qiana dropped my phone until the glass broke. That's why Laura gave me a check. Uhh. who's right", murmured Austin suddenly upset.

Kelly steps into Dominic's office lobby. Dominic's law office isn't that far from Kelly's workplace. He promised Dominic he would return the book Dominic loaned him a week ago. Now on Saturday, it turns out Dominic's office is still working this weekend and the office looks crowded.

Kelly immediately asked the receptionist who served at the special table in the lobby.

Shortly afterwards, Sonya re-opens the door coming with Kelly and the office boy who carries a tray of orange juice and marple pancakes that their boss likes.

Sonya let Kelly in and arranged the food on the sofa table.

Kelly sat down and held Dominic's tome.

"How are you Kelly?", asked Dominic, looking at the girl from his desk.

Kelly smile. "Good sir. I returned the master's book", he said as he put the book on the table.

After Sonya and the office boy went outside and closed the door, Dominic moved from where he approached Kelly, sitting next to him. Dominic took a glass of orange juice and took a sip.

"Please drink, you must be thirsty. You have to try my favorite marple pancakes that taste really good" Dominic said, giving a small porcelain plate to Kelly's hand.

Kelly took a plate containing a piece of pancakes and tried it. Kelly closed her eyes and enjoyed a really good taste. "It was so good" Kelly smiled.

Dominic smiled at it.

"Well... Now tell me have you really read that book? What science can you pick up after reading it?", asked Dominic like a lecturer who asked his students.

Dominic stared fixedly at the beautiful girl next to him while leaning his elbow over the back of the sofa.

Kelly returned that look.

"Books are a source of inspiration for those who wonder why the law is important, and why rights should be protected. The book also explains the ideals of law, justice and equality" Kelly replied straightforwardly while staring at Dominic's two neutrals.

Dominic smiled at it. "You're absolutely right. That's the basis of that law" Dominic smiled.

"You're very smart and you're in control of the field you're taking, Kelly. I'm sure in the future you'll have a good career in law" Dominic praised as he carried his thumb to the tip of Kelly's lip. "There's a marple syrup over your mouth" Dominic said slowly.

Dominic's actions make Kelly nervous. "Ehm.eh, Mr. Dominic I'd better go home now" Kelly said slowly.

"I'll take you. I have an appointment to meet your boss and Austin at your workplace" Dominic said.
