The Flower Of War

The Flower Of War
Chapter 66: The Bitter Destiny Will Always Be Fair

Day by day passed. Ming Zijing and Wu Xiao are competing against each other in the red hotshot ambition. In the past few days, Wu Xiao had begun to show his talent in shooting and Yiu decided to include him in special training with Ming Zijing.

Dor dor dor...

"Good, Ming Zijing, Wu Xiao. Now point at that target right there."

Ming Zijing was still in a daze looking for the target Yiu meant. His frost-like face stared at Yiu in confusion.

Realizing that, Yiu pointed towards the bottom of the balcony towards the courtyard below the balcony where they were practicing. In the middle of the courtyard stood a wooden board with a circle as the target in the center.

Both aimed their rifle shoots at a target that swooped sharply down. Ming Zijing looked difficult to put in a fitting position and was caught by Yiu's bead, he began to approach and helped point Ming Zijing's hand at the target.

"Back your shoulders down a bit, hold and point at the target. Don't be so tense, why are your hands so stiff...."

It made Ming Zijing's hands and face stiffen like a living statue. Yiu tried to pat one of Ming Zijing's shoulders to relax.

On the other hand, Wu Xiao just kept quiet with his eagle glances. Suddenly, Wu Xiao lifted his leg and kicked behind Ming Zijing's knee to resuscitate him without a word.

Yiu reflexively restrained Ming Zijing's arm and floated his eagle gaze which only Wu Xiao responded to with a casual smile.

Yiu rebuked softly, "Wu Xiao!"

Wu Xiao lowered his head in a small shudder as he let out his smirk. "You should be careful, Princess Ying."

After a slight stagger, for the first time Ming Zijing slightly wavered and again tried to focus by widening the distance, making space for himself.

Yiu did not take a dizzy, he again interrupted the two to shoot. The result is perfect in each target until the sun is almost close to the contest.

"Prince Wu Xiao, Prince Ming Zijing, good work. Looking at your development, I can leave divisions three and five to you two tomorrow. Take this short guidebook for the war materials and tactics that we have compiled. You can rest after this, thanks for the hard work."

Yiu gave a small book to the two, they drowned in silence again . Suddenly something flashed through Yiu's mind, he turned to Ming Zijing who was seriously reading. "Prince Ming Zijing, may we speak for a moment?"

Ming Zijing raised his head, ready to listen. "Please keep an eye on Prince Huang for me. I know he's not comfortable training with me because I'm his sister. So, sorry to bother you."

Ming Zijing nodded briefly. "He's always forcing me to train together every night. However, I must admit that Prince Huang is quite clever, just by looking at him once he is able to imitate him quite perfectly."

Yiu smiled and replied, "Did she mess something up?"

"Well, he almost shot himself thinking his rifle was broken. Fortunately, when he pulled the trigger I still had time to throw a spear that nudged his hand so that the bullet missed. Again, as he held a special shotgun long-range shots, he tried to shoot your bomb in the forest behind the palace from the top of the fence wall. As a result, he shocked himself and fell to the ground."

Yiu grew more and more irresistible just by imagining her brother's face being angry at herself.

Yiu wiped the wet corner of his eyes before gathering any intention to speak, "I'm sorry if his behavior makes you dizzy, he was always like that. Please don't give up teaching him, will you?"

Ming Zijing also smiled and nodded. After a short conversation, Ming Zijing resigned and Yiu was left alone.

Oh right, I have to apologize to Wu Xiao, I was too rude to him these few days.

Yiu turned his head in all directions. However, he did not find the figure he was looking for. "Where'd he go?"

Yiu finally decided to return to his residence because it was already dark. On the way, he passed by Princess Ming Lihua's residence and heard a slight commotion.

Curious, Yiu peeked out from the half-open door gap.

"Wu Xiao, give it back! I'll kill you if you don't return my brush!"

It was seen Wu Xiao running outside towards the courtyard while holding dozens of brushes in his hands. "Huahua, you're so bad at painting! You choose love! How could my handsome face look so horrible especially next to such a beautiful woman! His face is so similar to yours, what the fuck! Repeat it!"

Before long, Ming Lihua also came out running in a dragging dress while trying to grab a brush from Wu Xiao's grasp. "It takes hours to paint that realistic! Moreover, you can't be silent so it's very difficult to paint you. But look around again, this painting already looks a lot like you."

Wu Xiao ran back and climbed up the tree to stop his escape. "No! I'm more handsome than that. You have to make it look like a handsome and charming couple. Otherwise I won't return your brush!"

Beneath him, Ming Lihua leaped up a little hoping that her hand could reach the end of Wu Xiao's clothes while cursing at the extremely stubborn Wu Xiao. The quarrel was clearly visible from Yiu's point of view.

Yiu paused his intention to approach the two considering that it was not polite, he again walked in the silent passage alone. I don't know why something in him feels so empty.

"Wu Xiao and him looked very familiar. Were they lovers? Or until now? Wait, why am I thinking of such a useless thing?! Realize, it's none of your business. Don't cross the line" muttered Yiu who was cursed by himself.

The next day, Yiu's routine was still like the previous days. Train troops then train on their own before thinking about war tactics as well as investigating some cases that were awkward for him the last few days.

Somehow Yiu has become closer to Ming Zijing and her brother lately. They will train together at rest. While Wu Xiao? He always suddenly disappeared, whether going anywhere.

Yiu was now walking with Ming Zijing towards the weapons supply room to retrieve some ammunition that only Yiu could open.

Across the street, a girl ran with her busy hand up her long clothes and laughed. The girl was Ming Lihua, she crossed paths with Yiu and suddenly stopped.

The sweet smile on his face did not fade in the slightest. She greeted Yiu so sweetly with a breath that was still panting, "Daughter Ying? It just so happened that we met, sorry I made you uncomfortable but I wanted to say one thing. You're so great, you're younger than me but your name shines all over the land, so great!"

"Huahua, stop running! Return my things!" That familiar voice sounded from a distance. The three turned to the source of the voice.

Ming Lihua's face paled again. He prepared to run while shouting, "Sorry I have to go, the monster is near. Ah yes, don't get close to that monster, Princess Ying. He's dangerous, better to be with my brother!"

Yiu looked confused, he turned his head back and saw Wu Xiao who ran half asphyxiated as he kept shouting, he got closer to Yiu. But there was no sign that he would stop. Instead, he continued to run and simply floated a sweet smile for Yiu.

"Liying, don't listen to Huahua. He can't be trusted!" he said as he continued to run away leaving Yiu and Ming Zijing with strange faces.

"That's why I refused Wu Xiao to come here, my sister became infected with Wu Xiao's mental illness." Yiu only nodded at that thing with a dongo face.

Day after day until week after week was changing so quickly that it did not feel like a month had passed.

The five divisions led by Yiu numbering five hundred were already lined up neatly in their iron robes in the courtyard of Guang Ming Kingdom.

Today they were going towards Qiu Wang to unite the commandments in the flag of justice. Unite with hundreds of other fighting forces.

The third division in charge of carrying heavy equipment and ammunition and bombs was still busy arranging the luggage in the royal horse carriage while waiting for the presence of Yiu and the three princes in charge of each division.

Yiu walked quickly down the palace streets while checking his sword before stuffing it into the casing in a hurry.

General Rong who was waiting for him near the door of the royal hall, rushed to direct him to the gate of the palace where the soldiers were waiting for him.

A white uncoiled horse with a black saddle on the back of the white horse had been prepared for Yiu.

Yiu climbed up and headed to the front of the first division line, joining the leadership of the divisions. Huang gestured on to begin a brief speech, with one hand holding a rifle whose tip pointed at the sky, one shot released into the air.

All attention was on Yiu. Yiu straightened his back on the saddle while one hand held tightly to the control rope. "I stand here with you, not just to show strength or anything. But, I stand here, right now, this moment, to fight with you, to be part of the historical overhaul of the injustice that is fluttering in our country. As long as we have a strong determination and unyielding soul, I am sure we will all be able to overthrow tyranny and protect this country, this nation, and this family, as long as we are still breathing, nothing is impossible!"

Yiu's loud voice echoed alongside the breeze that was waving her hair excitedly. He took a breath before continuing, "Then from that, I want to ask you three things. Will you be willing to defend the truth of all body souls?!"

"AVAIL!"

"Are you willing to lose your lives for the future of our children and grandchildren?!"

"AVAIL!"

"Will you fight with our brothers to the last blood?!"

"AVAIL!"

"SHOUT EVEN HARDER!"

"WE ARE WILLING TO DIE WITH PRINCESS WANG YINGMEI FOR JUSTICE!!"

All the soldiers cheered while stomping the spears in their right hands. Burning the wild fire of spirit.

"Open the gate!"

Guang Ming Palace Gate opened, Yiu led the line out of the palace. The drums of war were unceasingly rumbling along with the troops that were ready to fight.

Even though the city's street access was closed, the enthusiasm of Guang Ming residents was still so high. They are willing to climb the roofs of houses and shops to be able to throw flowers accompanying the departure of soldiers.

There will be no profit from every war. However, by fighting we can save this land from injustice for a bright future.

The troops had already entered the forest path that was directly adjacent to Zhang Wu's forest. Yiu walked with her brother behind Princess Ming Lihua's carriage, while Wu Xiao and Ming Zijing walked in front of the carriage.

Until now, Yiu had not understood for sure about the reason why Emperor Ming had given his daughter the order to come along to Qiu Wang.

He was busy thinking about the reason until he did not realize he had walked right beside the horse carriage. Coinciding with that, Ming Lihua poked her head out the window, making the two of them startle in silence.

"Ah you almost made my heart loose."

Yiu who was also startled within a few seconds immediately lowered his head. "I'm sorry, Princess Lihua."

Ming Lihua smiled a sign of no objection. He folded his hands on the window while looking at Yiu who was a little confused.

"You seem to have something to ask me, Princess. Just ask me no need to hesitate."

Yiu was stunned to hear that. Yiu did not have time to dare to ask, Ming Lihua had guessed it, "About my participation, right? Your face is clearly drawn about it. Hm, I actually want to tell you now but I am not ready yet, there are still some things I have to prepare for the mission from my father. But you take it easy, I'll tell you later if my plan is ripe. Focus on your victory this time, my sweet brother."

The smile was so sincere that Yiu almost shuddered in horror. He felt that behind his sweet demeanor was hidden a power that could be an ace for him, making his gripping aura envelop Yiu's body. Yiu hated to suspect people himself.

Yiu simply nodded and returned to his formation, next to the older brother. Along the way Yiu kept thinking about what things the Ming Kingdom had hidden in him.

His sweetness continued to be fixed on the interaction between Wu Xiao and Ming Lihua who were now joking with each other. Making Yiu's emotions somehow rise up in the heat of the shining sunshine.

The mounting emotions were competing with a tight pain in his chest. Somehow it felt so claustrophobic just by looking at the interaction between Ming Lihua and Wu Xiao.

The memory of Wu Xiao constantly interfering with his life was now something that kept bothering him. Wasn't this what he had always wanted, peaceful with his mind without the distractions of a mad man who had now found someone just as crazy as him and would live happily ever after?

Huh, again Yiu quarreled with her own thoughts. Perhaps this is what should have happened, both of them found the life they dreamed of. A bitter destiny is always fair.
