The Flower Of War

The Flower Of War
Chapter 59: You're Not Alone

Huang let out a cold voice, "Basic Beast! Not shameless! I'll drag you to hell with me!"

"Yohh?! You are so excited, Prince. Do you still like fantasizing like you used to?"

"Enough!" Yiu interrupted and hissed, "Hi Ran... I'll finish you till the bones don't leave."

Hai Ran again tilted the corner of his lips while taking out a glittering sword from his waist.

"Try it if you can."

The ground trembled, the sound of firm steps flowed in rhythm with the sound of loud clanking like war music that always accompanied their journey.

Yiu had expected this to happen sooner or later. He took out his sword and nimbly slashed the opposing army that was heading towards him.

Hai Ran's troops weren't too many, either, at first Yiu could estimate he was carrying a hundred people but with the same confidence he could tell if Hai Ran's forces this time were reduced by more than half plus they were now scattered.

On the other hand, Huang who had already been consumed by fire started to rampage with such powerful sword movements.

Although he did not particularly master sword arts. However, this time he seemed to be possessed by the sword spirit which made him even more fiery.

His second sword clinked deafeningly, Hai Ran still easily faced that quick attack even though little by little felt the change.

How does it feel to be faced with the killers of your parents who turned out to be stronger than you?

Do you have trouble breathing when you see the shadow of your loved one standing with a pale face next to the killer?

Do you have the courage to retaliate? Are you able to face their faces when they know you are not strong enough?

Winter is almost over, the cold is still tightly hugging your weak body, and the branches of the tree are still not covered in green leaves.

Scary and pathetic.

That's Huang now.

With great difficulty he held back his tears that kept pressing out, his sturdy hands trembling, his gray eyes turning as red as the wounds that had appeared at some point of his body.

Even so, he ignored everything and still tried to defeat Hai Ran with a determination as strong as steel, unshakable.

Yiu who was not far from her brother continued to steal a glance at the small wounds of her brother who continued to bleed.

"Gee! Just let me!"

"Shut up! Let this beast I kill him!"

Feeling he had to do something to help his brother, Yiu turned his head to look for Wu Xiao's shadow.

He shouted, "Wu Xiao!"

Feeling his name being called, the name owner shifted his attention.

He knew very well that the voice belonged to his Liying, the two beads met for a while and Wu Xiao immediately understood his point.

He scratched a few necks before running towards Yiu, he sheathed his sword and rolled up his right arm until an object circled the white arm.

Wu Xiao straightened his hand and started aiming with full attention, he entrusted his life to Yiu who was now continuously circling his body to protect him from the enemy forces while he was aiming.

His left hand pressed. However, he had difficulty locking on to his constantly moving target.

Wu Xiao took a breath.

One second, two seconds.

"Argh...." Hai Ran felt a sudden stabbing pain in his shoulder, but he was very sure that Wu Xiao's sword did not hit his shoulder.

Shortly afterwards*his meridian points on the other shoulder felt the same way. As a result, his strength weakened slightly plus Huang had already managed to dominate the game.

A/N: Meridians in acupuncture or traditional Chinese medicine are the traffic pathways of energy in the body. And as with traffic, on the meridian there is a path/road, there is an obstacle, there is an intersection, there is a starting point, there is an end point and so on.

Huang became even more excited to know Hai Ran was getting weaker and continued to launch attacks for him.

Hai Ran spewed out a mouthful of blood as soon as Huang's sword pierced through his left abdomen and then fell to its knees after Huang pulled back his sword.

He lowered his sword which was now covered in blood, staring in disgust and fury at Hai Ran.

Yiu who knew the fight of the two had stopped immediately pulled Wu Xiao and paved his way with his sword towards where the elder brother was standing.

The fight instantly came to a halt, the entire pair of eyes gazing towards the four of them. Everything's silent. Silent. Even the sound of the wind sweeping out quietly could be heard clearly.

Hai Ran lowered his head and touched his left belly which continued to bleed, he raised his hand to look at the red stain that filled his entire palm. Suddenly his whole body hurt. So hurt.

He grieved and raised his eyes which began to blur. "Wait for what else? Why not kill me? Let's kill! Kill me!"

Yiu placed his sword tip on Hai Ran's chin, slightly lowered his head and smiled coldly. "Look, .. You didn't deserve to die so soon. So, let me take you to the palace you took from us, enjoy the last seconds of your life happily."

Hai Ran spat on the ground, Wu Xiao who was boiling for no reason immediately slapped Hai Ran's face so hard that the tip of Yiu's sword slightly scratched his skin.

Yiu and Huang were slightly startled to see Wu Xiao riding on the black. But I think back to it as common. After all Hai Ran would also not be able to retaliate, let alone retaliate, moving his hands or feet alone he was unable to thanks to the poison from the secret weapon that Wu Xiao used.

Wu Xiao straightened his back then exclaimed to stop the opposing soldier who was still intending to fight, "Stop! You guys have lost. Your leader is in our hands!"

Hai Ran's face increasingly lost its color and his body grew weaker.

Not yet had Wu Xiao uttered his intention, the sound of horse footsteps from the pranks attracted the attention of the others.

A soldier riding with the war flag of Qiu Wang spurred his horse towards the whereabouts of Huang and Yiu.

He went down and immediately knelt while holding the flagstick with both hands extended forward. "Report, Prince, Princess, Qiu Wang has been successfully captured by General Rong's forces."

The faces of the three immediately beamed, Huang turned to Yiu.

"A-Ying, we won! We won!" he said before clutching Yiu in his arms which was reciprocated with a tight hug from Yiu.

Wu Xiao who saw him then smiled until the corner of his eyes narrowed.

While Hai Ran looked shocked, with the rest of his strength he tried to rise because he did not accept. "What?! Wh-how could it?!"

The move suddenly made the messenger soldier cross his sword around Hai Ran's neck.

He shifted his attention to something below him that was being hit by a lightning storm before smiling warmly that seemed very unnatural.

"Of course in this world only you and your master can play tactics? .... You forgot someone, Old Man."

Flashback.

A hiding house in a small village.

"What if we bring all the troops that are there to fight from the forest? We can stay in nearby caves and attack at night."

"Quite reasonable, Prince Wu Xiao. Please allow me to add advice. What if this power we divide by two so that it can ignore the attention of the enemy?"

"Why not just attack the cities? It was easier to get extra troops."

"A-Huang .. it's too dangerous."

Yiu who had been playing the silver dagger in his hand now raised his head to look at everyone sitting at this small dining table to discuss.

He stuck the dagger onto the table in a quick motion, leaving some people a little surprised at his actions.

"I've devised a strategy. Let me express my opinion."

After getting a small nod from Xiao Ce and the others Yiu re-voiced, "I agree with Prince Ming Zijing's opinion. I plan to split the two armies, the core army will consist of twenty people and will fight from the forest then quietly sneak into the regent's office and take control."

Yiu circulated his gaze for a moment before continuing, "After being able to take control of a city, the core troops would re-enter the forest to head for the next town while the reserve forces would take full control of a town and spread rumors about the core troops. The goal is that the attention of the public is focused on the core troops and the reserve forces can freely to form a much larger army."

Ming Zijing asked, "Then what about Hai Ran?"

Yiu clenched his hands under the table, his face still flat again answering, "That is my goal to divide the two armies. The core army will be filled by me, my two brothers and you two. It was enough to attract Hai Ran's attention to attack us into the forest and give time for the two forces to attack the core of the city."

The entire man sitting at one table started to look at each other then nodded in agreement.

Xiao Ce who was closest to Yiu stroked Yiu's short black mane and carved out his smile for the first time in centuries. "Gege is proud of you, A-Ying."

It suddenly made the entire pair of eyes focused on the two without blinking, especially for Yiu, he himself gave a sweet smile before returning seriously.

Including the extremely rare thing of being able to see that deathly smile from Crown Prince Qiu Wang, it might only happen once a thousand years.

"General Rong, you bring my two bodyguards to accompany you in the reserve army and recruit great generals from the conquered cities to enter as well. This army is very important so please don't waste my trust."

"I will carry the noble grace of the Princess by giving up all souls!"

Flashback.

Hai Ran looked up at him with a very ugly expression that only Yiu replied with a smile no less ugly.

"The drag of this beast goes and input it into the innermost cell" Huang said.

After Hai Ran's departure, Yiu let out a heavy sigh, his legs somehow suddenly became trembling.

He faced Huang back and hugged him briefly, after which, Yiu turned his body to Wu Xiao to thank him.

The two beads met each other, yet Yiu wanted to open his mouth suddenly Wu Xiao joined him with his sturdy hands wrapped around Yiu's entire body. Just like her sister just did.

Yiu's breath immediately hunted down, his hand that touched Wu Xiao's field chest as if getting numb, his legs suddenly felt limp and he also had difficulty breathing. Wu Xiao was too strong to hold it!

Wu Xiao faintly dyed the shoots of Yiu's hair that were as soft as cotton and as fragrant as a rose, his hands even strengthened the embrace as if he was so afraid to let the warm feeling he had on his Liying slip from his embrace, his Liying might have already turned into his candle by now and he liked that.

One thing Wu Xiao forgot about. Prince Huang!

He opened his emerald green bead and was surprised to see the figure of Prince Huang who was depicted very creepy in front of him.

Huang who saw his only puppet sister being held by another man felt burned and did not accept. He quickly pushed Wu Xiao's shoulder then kicked his stomach before turning to Yiu and dragging it hard.

"Don't get close to my meimei or I'll kill you!"

"Aww this Gege is sick!!"

"Felt!"

Yiu who was in pain twisted his brain to divert his anger because his body was still a little weak to fight.

"Gee! We ... we must find Ming Zijing first and contact Da Ge!"

Instantly Huang and Wu Xiao who were holding back the pain in his stomach regained consciousness of the loss of their comrade as well as diverting the awkward feeling that was to come.

The three were looking for Ming Zijing's whereabouts which were still uncertain. Luckily Xiao Ce's army had arrived so it helped the search process.

A soldier saw a man in white curled up behind a pile of chopped wood that had been partly charred, the soldier came up to him and was shocked and shouted, "Prince! Prince Ming Zijing is here!"

Wu Xiao who was closest immediately ran over and exposed the roughness of some of the charred wood that covered the unconscious body of Ming Zijing.

Huang and Yiu came together, Wu Xiao slowly pulled Ming Zijing's body, his face and clothes as white as snow were now stained with dust and ash.

Huang and Wu Xiao carried Ming Zijing on their shoulders and mounted him on the horse that the soldier was riding after which it was Huang's turn to ride the horse.

"I'll take him first. Da Ge, please take care of A-Ying, lest anyone do anything to her!" he said the circus while giving a sharp shot to Wu Xiao who was replied with an awkward scratching motion behind his neck.

After the departure of Huang and Ming Zijing, Xiao Ce walked over as he looked at Yiu's dead red face and then turned to circulate his gaze from Wu Xiao to Hai Ran who was carried in a row behind with the rest of his troops.

"Who wants to mess with you, A-Ying? A-Huang looked really angry. Is it because of him?" xiao Ce asked as he motioned his eyes to look at Hai Ran.

Yiu gasped then replied nervously, "Ahaha. Huang Gege was simply too much. Nothing happened."

Seeing from his gaze made Xiao Ce feel less satisfied. He turned to face Wu Xiao who was shocked to the point of being surprised by the terrible gaze that again came from his Liying elder brother.

"The prince take it easy. Your meimei will be fine, there's me and you guarding him. Right, Liying?" wu Xiao said with a very wide smile towards Yiu.

Yiu himself felt like his fur was almost standing looking at that smile. However, he understood and joined in smiling as he clasped Xiao Ce's arm to refocus on walking towards Qiu Wang.

"Gege, we'll be home soon."
