Chapter 17: A Bad Hunch

Feeling like something shook Yiu's body quickly, Yiu finally regained his lost consciousness.

"God ... You apparently Prince Wu Xiao forgive me who thought you were a thief earlier hihi" Yiu chuckled softly at the face of Prince Wu Xiao who was definitely reddish even though the light around him was very dim.

Yiu chuckled softly at the look on Prince Wu Xiao's face that was bent sour.

"I'm just kidding, then what do you want to give me as a gift?" yiu said lazily and propped his head up with one arm.

"Wear this fast!" prince Wu Xiao said as he threw the cloth-wrapped clothes at Yiu.

"What's this?" yiu asked after catching the cloth package.

"Shirt disguise so no one suspects us, wear it quickly and I'll wait here"

"Can't I wash my body with water first?"

"No need for your body to have smelled so long ago that even if you take a shower it will be useless" Prince Wu Xiao seemed to casually respond to Yiu's remark which was rewarded with a sharp shot from Yiu.

"Repick change your clothes! Do I need to put your clothes on?" said Prince Wu Xiao who already wanted to jump into Yiu's room.

"Let's die, huh! Don't try to get in!" soon Yiu shut the window of her room and changed her clothes as quickly as possible out of fear that Prince Wu Xiao would forcefully open the window while she was changing.

After choosing a seat, a shopkeeper approached them to ask for an order.

"What do you and your lady want to order?"

"I want green tea, *Jiaozi, and "baozi, if you're Ying?"

"Just like you."

*Jiaozi (Chinese Dumplings)

Filled with vegetables and or meat, Jiaozi - or Chinese dumplings - is a common street food. They are shaped like ancient gold bars, which are believed to bring good luck to you. Jiaozi is eaten all year round, but more so in Chinese New Year.

*Baozi (Chinese Bread)

Baozi is a dough bread that is often filled with juicy meat such as***baked or vegetable, steamed in a steaming tray made of bamboo. They are prepared in the same way Jiaozi dumplings are prepared the difference is the baozi consists of a thicker dough, as well as a larger amount of filling.

After waiting for some time the food they ordered had arrived and without waiting for Prince Wu Xiao's cue immediately devoured his voracious jiaozi.

"You don't seem to have eaten for a year" Yiu sneered as he drank his green tea.

"You know, I hate palace food. There the food was always cold because the palace regulations every meal hour all members of the new kingdom can eat when the Emperor and the Empress have been present unless there is an important business, The emperor would always arrive late and the food already served would be cold" Prince Wu Xiao spoke at length as he chewed on his fifth jizao and third baozi.

"You're such a chatty look" Yiu chuckled in annoyance at Prince Wu Xiao's far-off babble.

After finishing the breakfast with a little bit of mouth-to-mouth and a dime from Prince Wu Xiao, the two finally decided to immediately return to the palace before their disguise was detected.

Yiu was silent but his manic continued to focus on Prince Wu Xiao until his body was lost behind the palace walls.

Fortunately today the guard behind the pavilions was a little careless because they were too busy taking care of the invited guests who one by one left Zhang Palace to return to their respective kingdoms.

Yiu immediately changed her clothes with the sleeping hanfu she was wearing earlier and sat down at the bedside and just as she wanted to lay down her body suddenly the room door was opened quickly by Chichi making Yiu turn her head quickly.
