[VOL 1] _Illusion Queen - Part 2

5,000 troops are moving from west to east. They all rode horses wearing complete battle equipment, such as spears and swords on both their waists. They all moved slowly across the dense forest border of the western region of Brama kingdom.

There was no flag or emblem of any kind that they carried, as a pointer to where they came from. Even the Armor they were wearing looked extremely worn. 

At a glance they were like a large number of mercenary troops. It's certainly not normal how mercenaries move like this, as in.the numbers are also very large.

At that time a man wearing the same equipment, from the opposite direction drove his horse towards the center of the army. 

A middle-aged man with an incision scar in his left eye instantly raised his hand, hinting all of his troops to stop. It was because he saw the person he had sent to spy on their destination location had already returned. His name was Elrion, he was also the leader of this army, and the great general of the kingdom of Ginarust.

Arriving there, a spy came straight down from his horse and knelt down towards Elrion.

"General, I'm back" said the spy.

"Hows it? is there any movement from the Brama kingdom?" ask Elrion.

"There is no general" replied the spy. "Everything was completely empty and I didn't see any movement at all. I also checked the location of the utu and found no traps at all" he explained.

"Good work," Elrion smiled at the reports of his men. "Like the original plan we'll make camp there."

"Okay, General," replied the man riding next to him. He looked much younger than Elrion. His name, Kornu, was Elrion's right-hand man.

"But the general, can the noble be trusted?" ask Kornu. 

"Of course, it was he himself who came to His Majesty and offered this cooperation," Elrion replied.

"No, that's not what I meant. But didn't he mean to deceive us?" Kornu still could not trust the royal nobility of Brama, who gave this proposal of cooperation.

That's palpable. It has been more than a decade the kingdoms of Brama and Ginarust experienced a dispute that is arguably a cold dispute. There is no cooperation between these two kingdoms.

This dispute was caused by a war 300 years ago, due to the seizure of the border area. Ginarust suffered a defeat at that time and had to willing the Eastern Region they claimed was lost. 

The kingdom that was once greatly admired because of his wealth was lost, and turned into a flourishing kingdom due to the war. 

In contrast, the Brama kingdom, which received economic support from their alliance, could rise and leave behind those who fell. Social inequality, education, and military progress are clearly visible between the two kingdoms. Even the people of Ginarust began to envy when they saw the rapid progress of the kingdom of Brama.

Not a few of their people are even willing to leave the kingdom of Ginarust and go to the kingdom of Brama to improve their fate.  

There was once a peace offer from Brama, so it will make the relationship between the two kingdoms improve. The Kingdom of Brama also offered the kingdom of Ginarust economic and cultural cooperation. But once again revenge and self-esteem were very high and made raha Ginarust reject the offer.

What irony it is. The events due to the past dispute dragged on until now Elrion is also well aware of it. But he would not betray the faith of their king. And choose to take the same steps as. Their king.

Until one day, there was a royal nobleman Brama visiting. He offers cooperation.

Because his intention was to rebel and seize power. He asked his king for help. And in return, the territory once contested 300 years ago will be returned to the kingdom of Ginarust in return if this mission is successful. 

Of course the offer was immediately accepted by the king, and Elrion only followed the orders of his king. If this were truly successful, it would probably be the day of the return of the glory days of the kingdom of Ginarust.

But worries certainly arise. Is this not a trap? Elrion understood the thoughts of his men. But he's the one who saw the guy. The one who offered this cooperation, made him have another belief.

"No, if he is intent on deceiving, or the kingdom of Brama is intent on deceiving us. No need for them to do something like this. Because with them moving ⅛ their military strength alone is more than enough, destroying the kingdom of Ginarust," replied Elrion. Seraya says her heart.
