Tears of Sholehah's Wife

Tears of Sholehah's Wife
Episode 78's.

The time had already shown at eleven o'clock in the evening, but Ammar was still sitting daydreaming on the terrace of the mosque. It had become Ammar's custom to spend time in that place, but this time he was there longer than usual.

Ammar thought about Radit's words, deep in his heart he still loved Jihan, but he hesitated to return to the woman's life. Will Jihan and her family be willing to accept her again after what happened? Moreover, Ammar knows Salma does not approve of Jihan returning to him.

A middle-aged man commonly called Kyai Umar walked up to Ammar, while checking the mosque fence, he accidentally saw the young man sitting dreamy.

“Ammar.” Tegur Umar's.

Ammar who was shocked gasped and turned his head towards the middle-aged man. “Eh, Mr. Kyai.”

“Why is it still here? Usually this time you have slept.” Ask Umar.

Ammar's face turned gloomy. “I can't sleep, Mr. Kyai.”

“Why? Is there something that bothers you?”

Ammar bowed, hesitating and ashamed to tell Umar.

Umar touched Ammar's shoulder. “If you want, you can tell me. Who knows it could lighten the burden of your heart a little.”

“I am again worried and confused, Sir.”

“In what way?”

“Request.” Ammar replied a little embarrassed.

Umar smile. “I have guessed, young people are always upset when it comes to romance.”

Ammar was embarrassed.

“What's wrong? Do you like an actress?”

Ammar also told what makes his heart waver and confused at this time, Umar who already knew what had happened before with the Ammar household was not surprised anymore. Although he did not know if Radit was the one who had insulted Ammar's ex-wife.

“So now you are worried between wanting to go back to her or not?”

“Iya, Mr. Kyai.”

“You love him?”

Ammar nodded twice.

Umar smiled before speaking. “Son, love does not weaken the heart, it does not make despair, nor does it cause crying. But love brings hope to life, strengthens the heart in the struggle against the thorns of life. So you don't give up just because his mother rejected you, fight and prove if you deserve to be a good priest.”

“Because refusing does not mean disagreeing, it could be done by his parents to prove how seriously you fight for your love for their daughter. But remember, let not your love for man exceed your love for God!” Umar continued firmly.

Ammar still bowed trying to digest Umar's advice.

“Son, seek to realize what is your desire and the end result is left to God, for all the affairs of this world have been determined by Him. If something is meant to get away from you, it will never come to you. But if he's meant to be with you, then you won't be able to run from him.”

Ammar raised his head to look at Umar. “Yes, Mr. Kyai. Thank you for the advice.”

“Sama-sama, Son. Now you pray istikharah and hajat prayer, ask for guidance and steadfastness of heart. Insha Allah you will not be upset again after this.” Pinta Umar's.

“Good, Mr. kyai.”

“Then I enter first, want to rest.” Umar got up from his seat, and Ammar followed him.

“I also want to enter.”

Umar smiled and grabbed Ammar's shoulder. “Mari!”

The two walked together to the pesantren which is located right behind the mosque.

Tomorrow afternoon Ammar arrived at Arif's house, after praying and thinking carefully about the advice from Umar last night, he finally decided to return to convey his intention to return to Jihan.

Arif welcomes Ammar kindly, while Salma is still cold and Jihan happens to still be in the stall with Aisyah.

“Alhamdulillah, fine, Abi.” Reply Ammar.

“Papa and Mama are good too, right?” Arif.

“Iya, thank God Papa and Mama are also good.”

“Alhamdulillah then.”

“Hem, Jihan to where, Abi?” Ammar asked because he hadn't seen the woman since.

“Oh, Jihan is still cleaning up at the stall, soon to go home.”

Ammar just smiled faintly in response to Arif's reply.

“Sorry, how did Nak Ammar suddenly come here? Are there still things that need to be resolved with Jihan?”

Ammar suddenly nervous to get a question from Arif. “Actually I'm here because I want to talk about something, Abi.”

Arif scrunched his forehead. “What is it, Son Ammar?”

While Salma just flinch listening to the chatter of her daughter-in-law and husband with a flat face.

“Begin Abi, I've heard that Jihan and Mr. Radit's sermons were canceled, so I want to re-apply Jihan and marry her again.”

Arif and Salma gasped at Ammar's words.

“Where do you know if Jihan and Nak Radit's sermons were canceled?” Cecar Salma who finally opened his voice, he was curious where Ammar knew it from.

“Pak Radit himself said it last night, Ummi. We did not accidentally meet at Daarul Qur'an boarding school Kediri.” Ammar Sahut.

Salma fell silent, he was guessing what Radit and Ammar were doing in the boarding house.

“So how, Abi, Ummi? Can I ask Jihan again?” Ammar.

“You better not be together anymore! Let Jihan live happily without you, don't you bother anymore!” Salma.

Arif looked at his wife. “Ummi, why speak like that?”

“Come, Ummi just want the best for our child!” Reply Salma.

“What is best according to Ummi, is not necessarily the best according to Allah. So leave all this to his will and destiny!”

“Ummi, I was wrong and hurt Umi's family, but I promise I will always try to be the best for Jihan, being a good priest for her. I also promise to make her happy all my life!” Ammar said seriously.

Salma nodded and turned her face away. But suddenly Ammar moved and immediately rested at Salma's feet, making the hijab woman surprised and suddenly pulled her legs.

“What do you do?” Pekik Salma's.

“Ummi, please forgive me. Let me marry Jihan again. I beg Ummi.” Ammar pleaded with a trembling voice.

Arif who was also shocked tried to invite Ammar to stand. “Nak Ammar, don't be like this!”

Ammar did not heed Arif's words, he knelt down before Salma.

“Abi, Ummi, I love Jihan so much. Please give me a chance, let me go back with Jihan again! I'll prove my promise.” Ammar said as he looked at Arif and Salma alternately.

Salma and Arif looked at each other, there was a sense of pity mixed in their hearts to hear Ammar pleading. They could see the earnestness and sincerity from the young man's eyes.

Arif turned to look at Ammar. “Nak Ammar, let's talk to Jihan first, shall we? He'll be home soon, kok.”

“Ummi don't agree, Abi!” Salma Rebuttal.

Ammar and Arif looked at the middle-aged woman in confusion.
