Tama And Ratna

Tama And Ratna
27. The Ratna Family

Arriving Ratna at the airport, she is picked up by Nata alone. As soon as he got home, his condition immediately stirred. The courtyard of the house has been transformed into a place for reception, installed tarub manten. Nata helps Ratna bring her suitcase and backpack into the house while Ratna is greeting all relatives and neighbors who are being hired (help) in the kitchen.

"Is this Mrs Ratna? Beautiful Sister Ratna, it's much different now."

"Different pripun, this bulik can be."

"Where is her husband?" this time a middle-aged mother greeted him from the front of the furnace.

"Sign budhe, Mas Tama will be followed from Semarang."

"Now his work in Semarang to?" ask again.

"Mboten, it just so happens that Mas again has a task there."

"There is Ratna Monggo if you want to rest. Must be tired of long trips."

Ratna then stepped into the room and opened her closet. She grabbed a fairly casual dress stel then stepped into the bathroom to take a shower. Just finished bathing, Ratna was called by Mom to lunch. 6 hours on the plane she must be tired and hungry. Ratna was not allowed to help when she wanted to. Not much has been done today. Most only cook lunch for all family members and neighbors who install tarub also make lemper for tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.

Gandhi had stopped by the house, he was sitting chatting with Mr and Pakdhe on the porch of the house. If Nata he helped arrange the table and chair. That afternoon the bored Ratna finally forced to help in the kitchen. Help me to organize everything too. They did not use WO, only asking for help from neighbors and village youths to help make the event a success.

Ratna was chatting with the mothers in the kitchen when outside the scene because a police car entered the courtyard. Clearly, among the many people who were called was Ratna because her wife was a policeman. Ratna immediately ran out because she thought who had come. What shocked him was the presence of two other people who got out of the car.

"Oh Allah, Mr. Somat, Ms. Odah, I'm sorry I didn't know that you and your mother came here" Ratna said while greeting Mr. Somat and Mr. Odah.

Ratna immediately invited Mr. Somat and Bu Odah to sit first and then Ratna went into the kitchen looking for Mother who was blending spices.

"Mom, there's Mr. Somat with Mr. Odah. Father, Sasa, same Nata where?" ask Ratna.

Mother was also as shocked as Ratna earlier. Mom immediately put down her work and walked quickly to the courtyard of the house where Mr. Somat and Mr. Odah were sitting with Tama.

"Who's Ma'am?" ask Uti.

"The order is Mas Tama, Ti," Ratna said making those who heard the follow shocked as well.

"But the bulls made me drink let me, please" Ratna said then took over the job. He made tea for that special guest. His name is superior, obviously not playing yes. It was a little different when entertaining other guests. Ratna is rather privileged Mr. Somat especially this Mr. Somat was newly appointed as Police Chief this morning.

Along with a glass of warm tea, Ratna also serves some cakes to be a companion. Ratna took him to the table occupied for the chat, only after allowing him to join the whole thing.

"Well, this is Ma'am's incantation" Ratna said as she watched Sasa walk closer with Gandhi.

"Nduk Sasa, how are you?" Mrs Odah immediately greeted with a chipika-cipiki.

"Thank God, ma'am, thank you for coming."

"Congratulations, Sister Sasa, what is the name of the candidate?"

"I'm Gandhi, sir" Gandhi replied politely.

"Oh yes yes..., Mas Gandhi TNI-AD in Jambi?" he said?" Mr. Somat continued to ask.

"Please sir" replied Gandhi again.

They all chatted so familiarly and casually without any shadow of superiors and subordinates. It is undeniable that Ratna was once the favorite daughter of Bu Odah. Tama also said one of Mr. Somat's pride officers. It has been so several times the Father and Mother who came to the court made Bu Odah and Mr. Somat also familiar with the family members of Tama and Ratna.

Mr. Somat and Mr. Odah were not until Maghrib had resigned. Apparently there was one more person coming along. I don't know who Ratna doesn't understand, but clearly one of the police officers at the new Mr. Somat duty. He said Mr. Somat and Ms. Odah want to go straight back to Semarang so bring a driver. Ratna hurriedly packed some parcels for Mr. Somat and Ms. Odah. It contained bread, some snacks and souvenirs as a thank you for the family has been visited.

After releasing the return of Mr. Somat and Ms. Odah, Ratna cleaned her glasses. But not until she reached for the tray, Mother had already pushed Ratna away, "His husband is sik. This is for me" whispered Mother.

"Mas, you want to take a shower?" ask Ratna.

"The bathroom's empty po?" ask Tama.

"The queue is long Mas, to the bathroom at Uti's house aja let's not cementin," asked Ratna.

The first who was sitting then stepped into the house to, following the steps of Ratna who began to open her closet. Ratna picked up a change of clothes stel and grabbed a clean towel and then with Tama walked towards Uti's house which was located right next to the house of the Father. Just a separate garage.

Tama was taking a bath, while Ratna accompanied not far there while chatting with aunt Dian, aunt Tari, and Om Ian. They were her cousins and were fairly close to Ratna. In the past when Ratna was a child, she often bought this, often invited to go for a walk, and confide in also so it can be so familiar.

"O Allah Adiratna pelite pol" said Om Ian.

"Let's not let this om have Ratna" said Ratna.

The two were fighting over the bakwan on a plate with only one left. It was both suits to determine who would eat it, Ratnalah who won but not Om Ian his name if it did not bother his nephew. He tried to ask for half but failed while Tama who just stepped from inside the bathroom instead won the last piece.

"says don't. Said yours. That's Adiratna bucin," said Om Ian.

"Biarin Om, mumpung still want bucin," said Tama who had eaten the bakwan without a sinful face.

"Awet tenan y'all le bucin," said aunt Dian.

"Hooh, usually if you have been married a year two years bucinnya. If you guys are getting worse and worse. Ratna's story is all Tama," added Tante Tari.

"If you don't like to stay on the skip anyway," Ratna said.

Ratna then chose to go back to the kitchen leaving her and her aunt still chatting at Uti's house. Ratna changed jobs. He had to make fried onions so now Ratna would fight against a few kilos of onions that he had to peel one by one and then he cut them thinly.

"Bun..," call Tama.

"Hmm?" Ratna turned her head then walked up to Tama who was standing clumsyly in front of the kitchen tent.

"What's wrong?" ratna asked sounded like someone crying.

"Mas wants to go first with Gandhi yes," Tama said, wiping away Ratna's tears. Don't get me wrong, Ratna's crying because onions aren't because of Tama.

"Don't go home kemaleman you know Mas hasn't rested from yesterday. Nek is sick I'm moh mijitin" said Ratna.

"Yes yes, you don't have to wait for Mas to come home if your work is done right away to sleep rest yes," said Tama as she kissed Ratna's hand with a kiss on the forehead. After that Tama retreated 3 steps ago respectfully, she only left after her respect was reciprocated by Ratna.

"Be careful" said Ratna.

Ratna resumed her work and continued her chat with working mothers. Sometimes they talk about Sasa and Gandhi, sometimes there is also something about Ratna and Tama that looks so sweet together.

"Sir, the police chief should be rich so po le pamit? Rich Mase just now?" ask Budhe Iyah next door neighbor.

"Mboten Budhe, even other than Mas I have never seen that rich respect is the same as his wife. Habit Masja that, I want to say do not even need to protest back. Yes," replied Ratna.

"Eh Mbak Ratna, sorry to hear yesterday was seriously ill huh? What pain?" ask Bulik Santi from the direction of the furnace.

"Anu Bulik how to say it, the accident is that. I'm chasing the perpetrator again because I'm on the location. I'm not papa but it's not strong" Ratna said.

"Oh my God, but Sister Ratna isn't papa really healthy?"

"Already Ma'am, thank God. It happened a few months ago, too," replied Ratna so sternly.
