Feli still could not believe, that in just seconds, now he had a different status, namely the legal wife of the first Young Master of the Wilson family, Hayden.
The day Jane was supposed to be the sister who got married, she was forced to become a substitute bride for her ex-boyfriend.
The wedding has been completed. Now the girl who had transformed into a woman was in one of the hotel rooms that the Hayden family had prepared, to wait for the reception to be held.
Feli sat pensively in front of a dresser, staring at the image of himself that was so alarming. The look on his face was so lethargic and lackluster.
Then where is Hayden - the husband? Feli doesn't care. As he recalled, after the priest finished the wedding ritual, Hayden was busy with his own affairs. Talk to some of his friends and business associates who were present at the wedding.
Feli did not bother if everyone asked her whereabouts, because as soon as he saw Hayden talking, he immediately left the wedding hall.
After all, the official introduction that he now holds the status of Hayden's wife, as well as the son-in-law of the Wilson family, will be officially announced at the reception later tonight.
Feli was slightly stunned, when suddenly a loud knocking sound coming from the outside of the door of the room he was currently occupying, managed to disperse everything that was still filling his mind, make Feli focus his attention towards the door of the room.
"Lake in." Feli spoke in his weak voice.
The door of the room opened and closed again as Anna and Jay entered.
Feli smiled softly, at a glance. "You guys came? How do you know if I'm here?"
Jay and Anna walked over to Feli and stood flanking the beautiful woman. They looked at Feli with sad eyes, full of sadness.
"Feli ..," said Anna, gently touching Feli's shoulder. "Are you okay?"
Feli chuckled while gently touching the back of Anna's hand. "Why is everyone asking me the same thing?" He turned to Jay and Anna in turn. "Do I have to answer that question honestly?"
Anna chuckles bitterly at a glance. "no need. It's just a stupid question. You just have to ignore it."
Can't imagine what Feli is really feeling right now, but for sure, Anna is very sure, if her beautiful friend is being shocked.
"Why did you just leave the wedding? Everyone's looking for you." Jay chimed.
Feli bowed, for a moment. "I can't stand being there constantly. It feels so sad."
Anna gently rubbed Feli's shoulder. "Have you tried calling your brother again?"
Feli let out a rough breath while nodding faintly. "It has. But the number's off."
"I was wondering, why would Jane accept Hayden's proposal, if she just ran away from her marriage?" Anna raised her voice again, expressing a sense of confusion and curiosity that had been so confined in the niche.
"Forget that. Hayden and Jane seemed to have planned all this from the start. This wedding was for me and Hayden."
"Whatchu mean? Why do you think that?" Jay asked, voicing his curiosity as well, for he could not grasp the main intent of Feli's sudden apron.
Feli looked up, he looked at Jay while showing a flat face, without any expression. "You didn't hear the sacred promise of marriage your brother made? He clearly mentioned my name, not Jane's. That means from the beginning, Hayden already knows, I'll be his bride."
Feli again bowed his gaze, staring at the beautiful wedding dress that was still attached to his body with a sad look. "This bridal dress reinforces my conjecture" he added.
Not at all suspicious of either Jane or Hayden before, precisely at the time of ex-lover and prospective sister-in-law who is now even officially her husband asked her to choose a wedding dress as well, now the reason behind the ambiguous request was finally answered already, understandable by the mind of Feli.
Hearing Feli's words, Anna's eyes immediately faded, looking at her beautiful friend with tremendous shock, as well as disbelief. "What do you mean?"
Felie let out a rough breath. He turned to Jay and Anna in turn, then smiled softly, at a glance. "You remember, yesterday I didn't come to the office to help Jane?"
Anna nodded enthusiastically. While Jay was silent, he noticed. The handsome man was stunned and nailed ever since Feli started explaining everything.
"Hayden forced me to pick and try on a wedding dress for Jane, but Jane didn't pick the one I chose." Felie let out a puffed breath. "This is the dress. The wedding dress I picked yesterday." He chuckles bitterly at a glance. "He's rude, isn't he? That bastard! Goddamn bum! He tricked me from the beginning. They played me with this wedding plan."
...***...
"So you knew from the beginning that the bride was Felisha? My daughter?!" Luciana asked Liam for the umpteenth time with a tone full of anger.
Luciana and Liam are currently in one of the hotel rooms. Five minutes ago they were arguing.
Ah no. More precisely since Feli's name was successfully thrown on the altar, mentioned in the wedding vows, Luciana was already really angry.
He was eager to ask Liam who looked calm, as if knowing it would happen from the beginning.
Liam who was standing before Luciana who was sitting on the edge of the bed could only let out a rough breath. "Didn't you recognize your daughter, just by seeing how she walked and behaved? That's why from the beginning I asked you to check on Jane in the brides' waiting room."
Luciana looked at Liam with a sharp gaze, full of anger ready to rain down. "When did you know? And why didn't you tell me?"
Liam rolled his eyes puffed. "Since Feli took my hand to walk over to Hayden. I can't tell you, because I know, you're definitely gonna stop the wedding."
Both of Luciana's palms clenched, crumpling the quilt she was sitting on. "Do you think Feli will be happy now? After the wedding is done?"
Liam's forehead frowned, astonished. "Whatchu mean? Why are you asking like that? Isn't the answer certain? Feli and Hayden still love each other. They will definitely be able to make each other happy."
"Stupid!" Luciana screeched in disbelief. "Can't you see, Hayden has hated Feli so much since he saw, Feli with the other guy in his room?"
The corner of Liam's left lip swooped sharply, commenting on a horrified, meaningful grin. "It's your job, to explain everything."
