SURVIVORS
Chaptre 89. Alex And Mutated Creatures.

I don't think the last dish was empty. That dinner sign is coming to an end. A servant approached Robert and whispered something. Robert nodded.

The elven guests began to stand up. Greet, then walk out. Seeing that, Silvia stood up. But prevented Robert. He sat back awkwardly.

"Wait a minute" stop Robert.

The room began to quiet as the last elf left.

"Ehem. It seems that tonight we still can't have a casual conversation. I still have to attend the meeting with the elf race leaders about my trip this week."

Glen shook his head and looked regretful.

"It's okay. You just arrived, of course you have to discuss many things. We won't interfere." Robert nodded and nodded.

"So now please rest. Maybe we can talk again in the morning. I can't wait to hear the story of your country" Glenn invited Robert to come back.

"thank you. Excuse me."

Robert and his team members got up from the chair and greeted him with a slight bow of their heads. They disappeared behind the dining room door.

Glenn gave the code, Randal came over.

"Did you deliberately arrange for that woman who looked like Aymee to sit right in front of me?"

Glenn's blue eyes dimmed. He was not angry, he looked sad. Those eyes splashed all over the wound and longed deeply.

"I'm sorry for my sassness Mr."

Randal felt guilty for making his master sad again.

Glenn gave the code. Randal walked out while regretting his stupidity. Glenn calmed down for a moment before walking towards his study, to start meeting with the elf race higher-ups.

"Lumayan lama is also this dinner. And the food is delicious. Makes me feel full." Niken stroked her stomach.

"You wanna take a little walk under the moon?" indra Proposal.

"That must be fun." Niken smiled happily.

"Would you like to take a walk in the park for a while?" touch the senses with others.

"I'm coming. That's good for our digestion" says Chandra, following Indra and Niken who had already taken a leisurely walk to the park.

"alright.. I'm coming too. Not too sleepy either," Gilang followed.

Finally, everyone walked along while chatting towards the park, under the bright moonlight. They were talking in the gazebo near the pool. A beautiful winged fairy statue, standing in the middle of it. The urn he was hugging was endlessly pouring out water.

"How do you feel about Mr. Glenn, Robert?" doctor Chandra asked.

"As far as it looked, she looked good. But I still haven't made any conclusions. Let's see what happens next" replied Robert. Doctor Chandra nodded in understanding with Robert's caution.

They huddled until drowsiness attacked, then returned to rest in the room.

The day is high. The sheep and the chicken have been making a fuss since then, but Widuri, Nastiti and Dewi are still not awake.

Dean who had woken up and saw the three were still sleeping soundly, let alone. He observed the mouth of the cave that still had that gap.

"Z, wake up." Dean shook Alan's body to wake him up.

"Hemmmm, yes, just 5 minutes," said Alan with eyes still closed.

"It's noon. There's a lot to do today." Dean shook Alan's body. This time it was harder.

"Wake up, your cattle are starving." Dean patted the Goddess' arm.

Dean stood up and headed towards the pool to clean his face. Alan had already sat down and noticed the gap in the mouth of the cave.

"I'll check it out for a second" Alan said.

Dean nodded.

"I'll check on Sunil inside" Dean replied as he passed.

The goddess stared at her pet cattle who were protesting for food. He rose to the pile of vegetables that Alan had managed to take. Which one to eat, whichever one is for the cattle.

"awake. It's noon. Prepare breakfast. Everything's starving." Dewi pulls Nastiti and Widuri's arms to wake up.

"If you still want to continue the journey, then you must wake up immediately. There's still a lot to do."

The goddess was upset to see the two of them go back to sleep and hug each other on the cave floor. The air is not cold at all.

"Ahhh. Just wait for Dean to get angry."

The goddess left Widuri and Nastiti.

Dean finds Sunil still asleep.

"Sunil, wake. It's noon."

"Heem?" slowly Sunil opened his eyes. Look around and recognize the place.

"Are you okay now?" ask Dean.

"I'm doing fine. How's things outside?"

Sunil woke up from his sleep and came down from the stone.

"I'm sure that place can't be inhabited anymore." Sunil stepped towards the passageway.

"Yes, but I still want to know what the hell was chasing us last night." Dean insistent.

"That's mutated sheep and other animals, some people I don't know. Also... Alex." replied Sunil.

"What?! Alex? You seen her?" Dean was surprised. Dean thought Alex was dead.

Sunil nodded as he continued to step followed by Dean who was still in disbelief.

"How did he survive such a severe wound?" Dean mutters.

"Surely just like us, he also fell in that pond after you threw it at the door of light. The water in the pond will be mixed with the rest of the eternal water in the deep tub." Sunil replied to Dean's murmur.

"Ahh, I forgot about that." Dean confirmed Sunil's conclusion.

Arriving at the cave, Alan was sitting, his body covered in a dim red light. Not far from there, Widuri and Nastiti still hug each other and sleep soundly. Only the Goddess had started taking care of her cattle.

"How's your pet?" ask Dean.

"Pure. Thank goodness." Goddess smile.

"Sunil, can you get the cookware out of your storage room?" ask Goddess.

"Oh yeah, of course."

Sunil took out everything he kept from the cottage kitchen. The goddess thanked me.

"Now you must wake up. Cooky. We're all hungry."

The goddess sat Nastiti, then Widuri. He looked at his two sleepy friends with annoyance.

As the veil of red light begins to dissipate from Alan's body, Dean and Sunil approach him.

"How are things outside?" ask Sunil.

"You're a success O," Alan smiled broadly.

"Do we go out and check it out now?" ask Sunil.

"Isn't the temperature still hot?" Dean's not sure.

"Let's go, I don't feel it" Alan replied.

"Your soul has the element of fire, where you may feel hot. But I can feel the warm air even inside this cave. It's usually cold."

Dean turned to the Goddess.

"Goddess, can you feel the rather hot temperature in this cave room?" ask Dean.

"Rubber. I guess it's because we woke up bad luck and the sun was high" said the Goddess.

"No. It's because O burned everything out there last night" Alan replied casually.

"What?! Burn everything? Everything what do you mean?" the Goddess was confused.

"Yes everything outside this cave." Alan smiled with his innocent face.

"Does that include our garden and our cottage?" Widuri started to react.

"Hmmm, if our cottage, there is still visible traces of him anyway," replied Alan quickly.

The answer made Widuri, Dewi and Nastiti immediately dumbfounded. That large area burned down? How could?

"Are you checking to the limit of the black fog?" ask Dean impatiently. Their important problem was that black fog, and Alan had not called it at all.

"I've checked far enough. But in the hot smog of the burn marks, it is also difficult to distinguish it from the black fog." Alan said.

"Then how do we know what's behind the black fog if we don't check it?" objection Dean.

"You can check it out, A. But not them," pointed Sunil towards Widuri and Nastiti who were still not moving from their original place.

"Oh, I get it. All right, after breakfast, let's check it out for a second out there." Breakup Dean. Alan and Sunil nodded in agreement.

At breakfast, the six discussed what had happened the night before.

"How did my sheep mutate?" The goddess was astonished.

"Does that black fog change the nature and physicality of living things that enter there?" Nastiti also did not think.

"How do you conclude they're mutated creatures?"

Widuri is not a person who easily believes in nonsense without proof.

"They all blushed and chased after us aggressively like they wanted to swallow you up" Sunil replied.

"Z's eyes are also red, is he also a mutated creature?" Widuri returned to make an argument.

Z's eyes have been like that since birth. But, let's see the sheep's eyes here, are there any red ones?" Sunil asked back.

"My care is nothing red-eyed." replied the Goddess loudly.

Widuri can't argue anymore. Finally he agreed with Sunil's assessment last night.

Ahh, what a pity all their fruit and vegetable gardens that have been burned O to ashes. Even their stone houses are rubble.
