Why?" sunil asked as he followed Dean's steps and carried the dry wood. Dean did not answer.
Widuri, do you hear me?" ask Dean.
"Yes.." Widuri's voice was weak and distant.
"Are you hurt? I'll throw firewood so you can see. Be careful." Dean was preparing to throw the firewood he had tied up earlier.
"Yes." replied Widuri and then heard a hiss in pain. Dean threw the firewood towards the hole. "Ah, ouch.."
"Did the fire hit you?" dean asked trying to penetrate the darkness left by the wood. "How's it down there? Can you see anything?"
"You're very chatty," hissed Widuri endured the pain. Dean smiled at it.
"It's pretty dry, it's cold. My leg hurts a lot" Widuri explained the situation.
"Well, you wait there." Dean turned towards Sunil.
"I'm going downstairs. You have to wait for teams 2 and 3 to arrive. Don't go anywhere. I set a trap with Alan earlier, so tomorrow morning you can check on him." Dean's instructions to Sunil left Nastiti confused.
"You're going down?" Nastiti.
"Yes. If we have a rope long enough and strong enough, we can lift it up. But now we don't have. So I'm gonna go down with him and find a way out." Dean's answer must be.
"That's why you brought your bag and your saturi bag?" ask Sunil. Dean nodded.
"I also brought dinner, too" Dean added and smiled. "You just have to wait for the other team to come together and tell you what steps you might be able to take." Dean walked up to the dead tree trunk not far from it and dragged it towards the hole.
"After I go down, cover the mouth of this hole with wooden sticks so that no wolf is mired and prey on us inside." Dean lowered the log slowly.
"Hold this tree trunk. The strong yes. I'm going down the hole by holding on here so it doesn't fall too far and hurt me." Sunil and Nastiti held onto a tree trunk half of which had already entered the hole.
"Widuri, I'm coming. Get out of your place." Shouted Dean before removing his grip on the tree trunk. "Aaaahh." Shouts when falling.
Bruk! Dean fell and rolled away from Widuri. 'Well, the height of this hole' Dean thought and looked at Widuri who was holding the firewood.
"Why did you come down? Now how do we ride?" Widuri asked in wonder. Dean smiled and shook off the dust from his long coat.
"Sunil, do you hear me? I'm fine here. Now drop the firewood for us. It's cold in here. Then you close the hole and go back to the shelter." Shouted Dean.
"Yes, I threw the firewood." Sunil replied.
After the hole was closed by Sunil with sticks, Dean and Widuri stayed.
"You're stupid. Why come down here." I hear Widuri's voice. Dean just smiled.
"You are stupid. If I don't come down, you'll starve" Dean said, taking out the dinner he had prepared from the bag. "Let me warm up first" Dean said as he placed the grilled yams, and the rabbit meat on the tree branch near the fire.
Widuri was surprised to see Dean's attitude. 'Why do I always sniff at him? In that he was always kind to everyone' Inner Widuri. Widuri shifted her body closer to the fire to drive away the cold. His voice continued to hiss every time he moved his legs.
"I'll check your legs." Dean approached, seeing Widuri's left foot tremble violently. Widuri carried him closer to the fire to see his legs more clearly.
"It looks like your footprints are shifting out of place." Dean looked seriously. His eyebrows are slightly pucker.
"It's gonna hurt a little. Can you hold it?" Dean asked back. Widuri. He has no choice.
"Alright. hold on a little.. If it hurts too much, just scream." Dean placed both of his palms on Widuri's ankles in such a way. His hands were warm in Widuri's painful legs. Widuri watched and prepared to endure the pain.
"What year are you born?" Dean's voice broke the gripping silence earlier. Widuri flabbergasted did not expect to be asked such a thing immediately answered ketus.
"Huh? What are you.. Aaaahhhhh!" The loud screams of Widuri echoed in that cave.
"What are you doing! That hurts so much." Widuri snapped at Dean, pulled his leg and threw Dean with a small twig nearby. The twig hit Dean's head which was still down observing the position of Widuri's legs.
Dean raised his head with a smile. "Your feet I tried to get back to their original position. It should be fine tomorrow morning." Dean ignored the toss and returned to the fire.
Widuri gasped at Dean's words, then observed his feet. The leg looked like it should even though it was still sore and throbbing. Widuri was stunned, 'wasn't she the one who asked Dean to treat her leg? Why get angry and throw it?' thought Widuri wasn't feeling good.
"I'm sorry. I was so surprised earlier." The low voice of Widuri was almost inaudible.
"You should eat and rest. Tomorrow we think of a way out of here." Dean thrust yams and grilled meat at Widuri. Viduri accepted it and ate silently.
Tonight they sleep on the surface of the only wide, flat rock that lies a little away from the mouth of the hole. Dean carried him there and moved the fireplace closer to the two. Widuri fell asleep immediately due to fatigue. His leg pain was lost to drowsiness. Dean lay down next to him. He's also very tired.
At what time of the night, Dean woke up shivering. The fireplace only remains. Dean came down from the rock and added fire. Soon the fire started again, but the cold temperature had not disappeared. Dean turned to the sleeping Widuri with a trembling body.
"I'm sorry." whispered Dean. He took off the sweater and pasmina Widuri carefully. Dean was worried that Widuri was starting to lose consciousness. He covered the front of the woman with a sweater and pashmina and then he carried the back of Widuri into his arms to give a feeling of warmth. Dean felt Widuri's body slowly stop shaking and start to feel warm. Dean was relieved and smiled in his sleep.
Morning in the cave.
Widuri wakes up feeling lazy. The warmth he felt made his eyes reluctant to open. Slowly his consciousness emerged and immediately opened his eyes and was surprised to see two arms encircling his stomach and chest There was something stuck above his head.
"God.." Widuri moved about wanting to stand up but her legs were still sore. He immediately sat down again and shifted away from the owner of the hand that woke up confused.
"What's wrong?" dean asked with a confused look.
"What did you do to me last night? Why are you hugging me? Basic pervert. You purposely came down this hole to look for a chance huh?" Widuri threw all the sharp words that crossed his head. His eyes were red, looking very angry.
Dean was dumbfounded for a moment. Ahh. He then remembered.. "Last night the air was very cold, probably outside of the snowfall. Your body is shaking and your consciousness is declining. I had no choice but to hug you to feel warmer." Dean explained why.
"I'm not doing anything but hugging you. And I'm not a pervert looking for a chance." Dean's voice sounded cold. He got up and started adding wood to the fireplace.
Widuri's still on guard. He doesn't trust men easily. 'People who are known for many years can betray, what else is a new known person 2 weeks' Inner Widuri. He then put on another sweater and pashmina lying on the stone.
"I want to check in there" pointed Dean at the aisle across from where they were. It was so dark last night that I couldn't see it. Now the sunlight barged in between the wood cover holes.
"You wait here. Maybe another partner at the shelter will be here." Dean ordered. Widuri silently did not answer. Dean doesn't care. He sled his bag and then stepped towards the hole of the cave. He had to figure out the state of the cave and alternative exits.
Dean disappeared for quite a while, Widuri became anxious eventually. Moreover, no one in the shelter came to the cave hole. He's confused himself how to. Firewood also has 2 sticks. 'How's this? Was my attitude so outrageous? Ahhh.. Widuri, your judes nature should be reduced!' it's in the heart. Regretting for accusing the non-nothing of the person who helped him.
"Don't leave me alone here." she whispered softly. Tears welled up in his eye patch that kept looking down at the tunnel hole that had swallowed Dean.
