Dean and his team are busy. Sulaiman took the others to the vegetable garden and helped him to tidy up the vegetable beds that had begun to be abandoned. They work while chatting. Occasionally questioning Sulaiman about his son or his childhood on the island.
While Dean, who escaped from the observation of Sulaiman, can actually work more freely with his ability. He quickly cut and moved the crops to the roadside. Then Dr. Chandra tied the rice stalks into an easily transportable bond.
With that ability, their work was completed first. Dean thought of helping Sulaiman cultivate his land to be easily cultivated.
"Alan, can you come here for a second?" call Dean with a voice transmission.
"okay!" sahut Alan's.
Dean helps Dr. Chandra while he waits for Alan.
"What help is needed?" ask Alan.
"Can you burn all those dried rice clumps?" Dean pointed to the rice field.
"Can."
Alan then flew low and began to burn the rice clumps in the arid land. He burned from the very back. Within 15 minutes, it was all on fire.
"That's great" praised Dean.
"What more help is needed?" alan asked himself.
"Hemm .. This is just watering it with sea water, after all burned out," said Dean.
The two again helped Dr. Chandra tie up the rice stalks. Within ten minutes, all the work was done.
"I think it's time to water this dry rice field" said Alan.
"Come," Dean asked.
Both are flying to the beach. The beach here is very beautiful, with white sand. Just a little less clean, because there is no one to take care of it and clean it from the garbage carried by the waves.
"A beautiful place. If I don't want to make sure my family's home, I guess, I just want to stay here. Gardening like Mr. Sulaiman, or building a snorkeling or surfing tour," said Alan.
"You can come back later. Now we get this job done, "take Dean.
Alan nodded. They began to pull the sea water and carried it towards the dry rice field. The burning rice field was immediately doused with sea water.
"It's less, anyway" Alan said.
"Yes, it has to get wet enough, so I can help turn the ground around" Dean added.
Both flew back to the sea.
They go back and forth four times, then the soil is moist enough to be infected.
"Do you still need help?" ask Alan.
"No. I can do this on my own" replied Dean.
"okay! I'm back there." Alan pointed to the vegetable garden.
Dean nodded. Alan was seen flying low to the front yard of the house. Then walk to the back garden.
Dean continued his work. He took out his gardening equipment. And deftly hoe and reverse damp soil throughout the area.
By noon, the women were back. The task of cleaning the house is done. Stay a pile of dirty and worn cloth waiting to be cleaned behind the house.
Robert and Sunil had also finished fixing the broken door of the house. The others gathered and rested. Alan brought a lot of vegetables and cooking spices given by Sulaiman. That's their reward for helping him clear the garden. Everybody happy.
The women started cooking. Dean also sat by the side of the road, to rest. Piles of rice lined up neatly on one side of the road.
Sulaiman walked towards Dean, after being satisfied with the door of his house. In his estimation, harvesting rice of that size with only two people's power, maybe until tomorrow afternoon just finished.
But he was surprised to see the expanse of that morning had vanished. All the results have been neatly lined up on the side of the road. Ready to be transported into the home.
"Your job is fast. You're fit to be a farmer" praised Sulaiman.
"His friends laughed at Sulaiman's praise.
"Don't A really work as a gardener?" thought his friends were ticklish.
Sulaiman immediately divided the harvest for Dean and his friends according to agreement.
"Thank you" said Dean happily.
"Let us help bring him home" he added.
Sulaiman.
"Yes ... Just put it in the front room" he said.
"Didn't this have to be hung? That way, the grain will be more durable."
Robert interrupted the conversation. He remembers his experience with Kang. That way, Kang could keep his crops for longer.
I don't know that way. There are no tools either" Sulaiman replied honestly.
"Let's see what we can do" Robert broke up.
"alright. Thank you then." Sulaiman smiled happily.
"If the rainy season arrives, new rice can be planted again. Now, this land is just—"
Sulaiman's words stopped. He looked at his field area. His eyes grew in disbelief. Until he stepped down. The ground is not wet. But it's moist enough to be infected.
"You ... You hoe him all?" tanyanya could not believe it.
"Well, the soil is quite moist, so I think you're helping you turn the ground around" Dean said.
Sulaiman crouched down and took out a lump of soil. Then nodded in wonder.
"Indeed is damp," he said.
"alright. Thanks for the help."
Sulaiman went back up the road. Then take two more grain ties and hand them over to Dean.
"This is your reward" he said with a warm smile.
"really? Thank you so much." said Dean happily.
"Actually I was quite surprised to see that this land was still moist. In the garden alone it has begun to dry, he said.
"Will the plant be damaged if the soil is dry?" ask Indra
"of course. If the middleman comes on time, then I do not need to be tired of watering an area of vegetable garden that size," murmured Sulaiman.
"What if we help harvest?" bargain Robert.
"The problem is not just the harvest. But also storage. I don't have any special storage space" he explained.
Robert finally understood. He's not pressing anymore.
"Food is ready" cried Niken.
Everyone ate with joy and happiness.
"Dean, can I talk?" Leon raised his hand.
"Yes, just say it." Dean lets Leon talk.
"Extm ...."
"Me and Jane decided to stay here just—"
"What?"
Indra's startled cry stopped Leon's words.
"Let Leon finish the sentence first" said Chandra.
"Continue, Leon," Dean said.
"Well, you know, we used to live on the beach as fishermen. He also saved me when I was stranded."
Leon looked towards Jane.
"And Jane said she was in love with this place. Not too crowded, near the sea, and can still garden like this. He wants to stay here" explained Indra at length.
"That's right .. I'm not the only one who wants to stay here" Alan said.
"You too?" Indra really can't believe it.
Alan nodded with a smile.
"But I need to find out about my family first. After everything is done, then I come back here," Alan explained with a smile. It seems that he had planned it carefully.
Dr. Chandra asked Leon. "Then how are you guys? Go back to Jakarta first, or ...."
"I'm not from Jakarta. I don't have any family to look for. Jane has no family. So, we just stopped our way here."
Leon also made a unanimous decision.
Niken's eyes are round. He doesn't believe. She held Jane's shoulder and looked for the truth.
"Is this really your wish? Or Leon forced you?"
"Hey!" shouted Leon protest.
Jane smiled sweetly. "You showed me the beauty of this place yesterday. And I like it."
Jane's response was a stern heart attack on Niken. She's speechless. It was true, he who enthusiastically showed Jane everything new about the garden. It means that Jane loves this place and is not sad to be far from where she came from.
"But ...."
Niken could no longer find the right word to say.
Then she hugged Jane tightly.
"Alright .. provided you're happy, then we'll be happy" Niken said at last. His eyes were wet.
Widuri and Marianne hugged both of them. Everyone saw haru. This long journey is almost over. They will eventually return to their families. Farewell is inevitable.
"Hey, stop. Isn't this place still Indonesia? We can visit them if we miss. Isn't this island very beautiful to be used as a vacation spot?" entertain Dean.
"Yeahh .. You're right. We should be happy if one of us is happy. Aye right?" Robert added.
"How Mr. Sulaiman. Would you let our friend and his wife stay here?" ask doctor Chandra.
Sulaiman smiled widely.
"of course. I haven't had a neighbor in a long time. Hahahaha .. later we can chat and fish together," he said happily.
The others smiled with relief. Sulaiman doesn't mind, that's enough. Others will think later.
