35 — Mother-in-law's Advice

Almost a week passed and Vernon was still monitoring Sarah's actions from afar. Sarah may threaten Vernon, but she forgets that Vernon can find all the evidence easily. Two years ago, Vernon had only been quiet for a few months to refrain from searching for Kezia. He still made Sarah his lover. But a year later Vernon decides to break up with Sarah and begins to unsettle. The man secretly searches for Kezia's whereabouts when his in-laws find out what really happened. News of the escape of a famous singer was widespread in the capital. But after a few weeks the news began to disappear and re-emerged when the news of Sarah's affair.

In the public eye Vernon and Sarah still have an affair. But the truth is it was over a year earlier. But Sarah did not accept it so she often came to see Vernon and whined to be Vernon's mistress again.

Vernon did not stay silent and was uncomfortable with Sarah's attitude. Vernon just found out that Sarah's also using herself in the back. The woman secretly asks Vernon all her wishes. Until Vernon learns of the foul thing Sarah did to other men without Vernon's knowledge. The woman does not realize that Vernon often sends his men to spy on Sarah because suspicious things often happen after Kezia runs away from home.

And sure enough, it turns out Sarah was in constant contact with other men even before Vernon married Kezia.

Vernon used to believe too much because Sarah was very easy to influence. Despite being in contact several times, Vernon never made a mistake. But since Kezia was present in her life, Vernon had absolutely no interest in other women. Including Sarah.

Vernon has to make sure Kezia doesn't know this. Vernon himself will explain everything. Otherwise the same thing will happen again. A fatal mistake kept Kezia away from him. Vernon won't be able to feel it a second time. It adds to the presence of Excelo between the two of them.

"Yes, just a minute."

"Let me, Madam." Bi Tini walked towards the door of the house. Kezia was giving her son lunch. Therefore, Kezia was a little bothered to receive guests.

Then Bi Tini welcomed the guest and told the guest to enter the house.

"Who, Bi?" Kezia asked but still focused on feeding the lunch for Excelo.

"Will the grandchildren eat new oma? Scurrying." Mrs. Risa walked over to Kezia and Excelo. Kezia who was aware of the arrival of her in-laws immediately greeted and hugged the middle-aged woman.

"Mama why didn't you tell Kezia? Kezia can get Vernon to pick up the mama" Kezia said, then picked up Excelo and held him up.

"No need, baby. Mama just wants to meet my granddaughter. Vernon was too busy in the office. So, well.mama can get here without Vernon's help." Mrs. Risa gave a small laugh in response to Kezia's words.

Kezia nodded in understanding as Vernon had been busy lately. I often go home late because of work at the office.

"How are you and Vernon, son?" ask Mrs. Lisa with a warm smile.

Kezia raised his head, "Well, Ma." Kezia replied briefly but still sounded polite.

"Thank God, my mom is worried she's making a mistake again. Especially now that he's a father." Mrs. Risa said it with a relieved heart. In his heart he prayed for the harmony of his marriage and the family of his son.

Kezia smiled slightly, "Kezia always gives support to Vernon, so that in the future he does not make mistakes. There's nothing to worry about. Kezia just needs a little time to forget Vernon's mistakes" Kezia assured her in-laws.

Kezia almost shed her tears, staring at Mrs. Risa carefully, and smiled ignoring the tears that began to fall. "I'm sorry Kezia, Ma. In the past Kezia was too short-minded to even think divorce was the best way out for Kezia and Vernon. But as things change, Kezia begins to realize it is very bad for Excelo's future as well as Kezia." Kezia began to hiccup and rubbed his more and more tears.

"Not to think about it anymore. If you both fight and trust each other everything will go well." Mrs. Risa tries to calm Kezia down and pulls Excelo into her grandmother's arms.

"Thank you, ma." Kezia picked up a tissue and pumped it to go to the kitchen. Kezia makes warm tea for himself and Mrs. Risa's. After that, they talked about a lot of things. And play with Excelo up to the phone from Mr. Clayton made Mrs. Risa has to go home immediately because there is an important event to be attended.

By nightfall Vernon had come home early. Kezia has just put Excelo to sleep upstairs because Excelo is always actively playing with toys scattered everywhere.

Vernon was a little disappointed that Kezia did not welcome his arrival. But Vernon quickly forgot about it and then climbed the stairs to the room. Vernon opened the door slowly and looked at Kezia who was close to Excelo's bed.

"Vernon?" Kezia was shocked when Vernon stood in front of the room door with both hands folded in front of his chest.

"He's sleeps?" asked Vernon then stepped in and put the briefcase near the closet.

Kezia immediately approached Vernon, "Yes, just went to bed. You're home early?" Kezia didn't know it was a question or a statement.

Vernon nodded, "Investors from the UK came to meet with father. I'm just tackling some problems that could be solved in the near future." Vernon took off his shirt and tie.

"That's the matter?"

"Yes.I don't want to discuss office work at home." Vernon said it with a small smile. "Eat already? Want to eat out?" tawar Vernon's.

Kezia picked up Vernon's shirt and tie, raised his shoulders and smiled lightly, "I haven't prepared dinner yet. If you're hungry, we can eat outside" Kezia said, then walked into the bathroom putting Vernon's shirt in a dirty laundry basket. The woman also prepared warm water so that Vernon could clean himself up immediately after this.

"Vernon took a quick shower I've prepared some warm water." exclaimed Kezia from inside the bathroom.

Shortly after, Kezia came out and saw Vernon, who was quietly lying on the bed. Being slightly annoyed, Kezia pulled Vernon's arm with all her might. "Wake up, I won't eat if you're lazy like this." threatened Kezia who in the end can't lift Vernon out of bed.

"Wait a minute my back is a little stiff." Vernon murmured still closing his eyes ignoring Kezia's hand pull.

"alright. Don't dawdle. I don't want to go over at nine." Kezia opens the closet to pick up a casual outfit for Vernon. The man looked tired so Kezia could understand him. Since there was no response from Vernon, Kezia went downstairs and asked Bi Tini to keep Excelo after this.
