30 — Cafe Lwost

Day after day passed well. The relationship between Kezia and Vernon began to improve. Vernon also returned to work after accompanying Kezia at home for three days. Vernon began to love his wife. Kezia also understands Vernon's changing attitude better than ever.

Although a little foreign, Kezia felt happy after a long wait for this day to arrive. Kezia forgets the divorce he had thought of in his new home. The woman begins to focus on accepting Vernon as her husband. Repairing their marriage that was messy. And start living normally like a husband and wife.

"He's sleeping again?" Vernon came and sat down next to Kezia. His wife was busy taking care of Excelo who was more active when moving in this house.

"I'm going to Cafe Lwost."

"Cafe Lost? Good. But I'll keep you company until I get home."

"Vernon—"

Vernon smiled faintly, "Wait here I'll change clothes first." the man immediately went to change into a more casual outfit. He did not want his wife to wait any longer.

Vernon came back down and brought baby gear.

Kezia looked at Vernon in amazement. God, her husband really turned into a father.

"What's wrong?" Kezia. "Then I wait in front. I'll get the car ready for a second."

Kezia stood up from the chair and stepped up to say goodbye to Bi Tini. After that followed Vernon and left the house to the House of Riwijaya.

Riwijaya Residence

"Slaves." Mrs. Lidya held Excelo who was soundly asleep. The baby was very calm and did not feel disturbed during the trip to the Riwijaya family home.

Kezia glanced at Vernon then smiled, "Mama, I want to go for a while with Vernon to meet someone. Excelo stay here for a minute. He's not used to the environment around here. It's so crowded."

Mrs. Lidya nodded, "Yes. You guys can go. I've long missed my granddaughter." said Mrs. Lidya.

"Then we go first." Kezia says goodbye to her parents. Same with Vernon.

They withdrew and immediately went to Cafe Lwost.

Mr. Rivijaya approached to look at her grandson. "It looks like they're starting to get better. You saw that, right? Kezia showed no rejection when Vernon touched her." Mr. Riwijaya stroking Excelo hair. The middle-aged man did notice the movements - the grin of his daughter and daughter-in-law.

"Where?" ask Vernon who was getting uncomfortable because some women started talking about their arrival.

"That's them!" Kezia invites Vernon to approach the second table at the back.

Vernon narrowed his eyes a little. It turns out that Kezia met an old friend who had been helping her to escape. Who else if not Leah and Rafael?

Kezia did a kangen meeting with Leah. Vernon stared in dislike towards Rafael. How not? He can't act ordinary because the man helped Figo to hide his wife's whereabouts.

"Eh." Vernon sat down by Kezia's chair. Letting his wife be happy, even if it wasn't for him.

"He was touring the capital with Bi Miah. Oh, blimey! You are so beautiful on stage! You know, Kez, Reon urged me to watch your concert" Leah said excitedly.

Kezia laughs at Leah because she wants to watch Kezia's concert after a long hiatus due to an issue that requires Kezia to take a break from the entertainment world.

Leah smiled then looked towards Vernon who heard their conversation without interest. "Why did you take her?" whispered Leah.

Kezia asked through a facial expression. Leah gave the code by glancing towards Vernon.

"He's my husband, Le." Kezia replied. Of course, Rafael and Vernon heard.

Vernon began to feel uncomfortable sitting in his chair. Leah, that woman doesn't like Vernon's presence. It was obvious how Leah stared and snorted whenever she saw Vernon.

"You forgive him, Kez? After what he did to you?" leah asked in plain light.

Vernon looked at Leah's words.

"Leah." Rafael tries to stop Leah's question which could make Vernon and Kezia offended.

Kezia bit her lip and turned towards Vernon. It seems, Vernon is getting hooked. The man's sharp eyes darkened even more without him noticing.

"Not to answer. Let's just talk about something else. Sorry." said Rafael.

Kezia sighed softly. Leah has been very married to Kezia until now. It warms Kezia's heart. Leah is a good friend.

"It's okay." Kezia smiled, his hands clasping Vernon's hands to neutralize the man's feelings.

Vernon looked at his hand which was on his thigh. It was like a dream because Kezia wanted to touch her first even in a different situation.

"Ehm...how about the next concert? I can give you free tickets if you want."

"of course. We will accept it with pleasure. Right, Le?" Rafael tries to persuade Leah to melt the atmosphere.

Leah nodded and forced a smile. "Yes, Reon would love to hear that."

Kezia looked at Leah with guilt covered. Leah may not know about the real problem. Which makes Kezia want to give a chance to Vernon. Next time he would explain everything to Leah so that the woman would not worry too much about him.
