14 — Reasons To Escape

Vernon wakes up late and ignores the fact that Kezia was not there beside him when he opened his eyes. He was a little angry but did nothing. All he did was sit and lean his back.

Yesterday was the long night that Vernon had been through. Considering he became the first man for Kezia, the man smiled faintly. Vernon doesn't deny that Kezia is a good girl. But now Kezia is already her woman.

Vernon closed his eyes again. As long as he was married to a woman from the Riwijaya family, never once had Vernon touched Kezia in quotation marks. Every time Kezia saw him, Vernon could not control his temperament. Though he could always control not to hurt anyone because of the extreme temperament of Vernon.

Unlike Kezia, Vernon always wanted to make Kezia tormented so that the woman gave up and chose to part with Vernon. Added to the grudge that Vernon keeps because of Mr. Clayton forcibly married Kezia without her consent. The middle-aged man ignored the status of Vernon who already had a girlfriend.

Now Vernon smiled triumphantly. He managed to hurt Kezia's self-esteem as a woman. Just wait for the time until the woman can not stand it and give a divorce letter. So that Vernon does not need to bother - bother dealing with the bond of two families again.

While waiting for that time to come. Vernon will take advantage of Kezia who is still his wife. The woman was very beautiful and her body was very well-fitting. Makes Vernon almost admit that Kezia managed to make him satisfied. A woman like Kezia can't be wasted. Kezia would have wanted that, too. The woman declares her love before they marry.

If only Kezia had known that Vernon's attention and gentle treatment before marriage were due to threats from Mr. Clayton's. If Vernon does not obey his father, Vernon's company is at stake.

Inevitably Vernon did a good thing in front of Kezia. But after marriage, Vernon no longer acted up. Instead, Kezia tried to hide so that the man would not hurt his body.

And to this day Vernon continues to torture Kezia, although not as often as he used to. The man kept Kezia locked in his room to serve him. Vernon spent more time with Kezia after the incident in which he took the crown.

Until one day Kezia heard something strange from Vernon's room. Kezia was instantly dumbfounded and closed his mouth tightly. He immediately went to the room and locked the door. His tears broke regardless of Bi Tini's knock telling Kezia to have lunch.

Kezia hid the thing in his hand in a drawer near the bed. Previously the woman was wrapped in plastic.

Kezia immediately tidied up his things by putting all the clothes in the suitcase. Stay in the room all day.

Until the day changes, Kezia runs away quietly from home without the knowledge of Vernon and Bi Tini. Kezia can't stand living with Vernon. He does not want to hurt himself anymore — is not — Kezia does not want Vernon to help hurt the child in the womb.

Flashback Off

Vernon woke up from his sleep and felt a pain in his head. The clock shows at five in the morning. Then there's still two hours for Vernon to go to work.

The man got off the bed and went to his room on the second floor. Both of Vernon's legs stepped heavily. The man's appearance was very messy. It was clear that Vernon had not cared much about himself since Kezia left.

Vernon took a quick shower then wore a black suit and a maroon red tie. The man combed his hair to make it look a little neat. He did not care about his pale face.

Now all he cares about is Kezia. The woman was much more tormented than Vernon. Living alone in a city far from the reach of many people and caring for a small baby without a companion.

Vernon ignored Bi Tini's existence and did not eat his breakfast. The man immediately left the house and headed for the office even though it was too early to work.

Bi Tini just looked at her master with concern. Vernon's been skipping breakfast for a week. And always come home late and even choose to sleep in Kezia's room.

After Kezia's departure, Vernon was a little strange and often slammed some things. Once the man punched the glass until his hand was badly injured. And the hysterical Bi Tini immediately called Mr. Petra, the person she knew as a close friend of her employer.

But now Vernon's situation is very sad. His body is not as strong as it used to be. Vernon looks skinny and messy.

Bi Tini thought it might be karma because Vernon always made Kezia cry and incised painful wounds around his back and cheeks.

"May God always protect Mr. Vernon and Nak Kezia" Bi Tini said. The old woman prepared a breakfast that her master had not touched. Then wrap the delicious-looking food to give to Mr. Anton, the gardener who is behind the house.
