Sons & Daughters

Sons & Daughters
Traumatizing

The clock has shown at 20:00. Rena and I are getting ready to go to the Son's house tonight. We both wish Son told me all the things that really happened. About his relationship with that woman. I was waiting in front of the house, waiting to be picked up by Rena.

"Tin... Tin.." the sound of the horn goes off.

"Let's let our daughter go now," Rena was already in front of the house while riding her motorcycle

"Yes," I then rushed up and the two of us immediately slid into the Son's house.

"Thank God the streets of your house haven't changed much. I'm so easy to pick you up" Rena chatted with me while driving

"Yes, although there are many new buildings here, but the direction of the road is still the same. It's just the mood that's changed" I replied to Rena's statement

Now my son and I are no longer neighbors. Ever since he moved to America, Son's old house was sold, to help Putra study there. Now occupying the house is Merry's mother and her family. The son now lives in the Bougenville Housing Complex. Close to his office.

We both arrived at the new son's house. The son looked surprised to see me meet him. This morning we both had a big fight. Rena who became mediator then invited us to chat together at home.

The atmosphere feels tense. I cannot see the face of the Son. I turned my eyes and just looked towards the vase near Rena.

"Alright I'll tell you everything. But please don't cut my conversation off before it's over." The son answered Rena's statement steadily

Fina is my ex-boyfriend. We both met in America 4 years ago, precisely in college I was studying. He used to be a good, beautiful, and very active child in campus organizations. We both started dating in semester 3. I like it a lot because it is friendly, assertive and has high leadership qualities. But our relationship was broken in the 7th semester. Because of my busy work with my research, I may rarely be with him. Finally he cheated on me, then we both finally broke up. Since then I have never been in contact with him again. But the incident that took place 1 year ago on Fina made me feel sad and concerned for her. Makes me unable to leave him. The son then took a long breath.

Fina lost both her parents in a car accident. Both of his parents died on the spot. But Fina knew why. It's because of his girlfriend. Her boyfriend turns out to have a grudge on Fina's parents. Her boyfriend's father is in jail. His mother was sick until she died. His father did not accept it, so he also took his own life. This is because Fina's parents threw the man's father, because of the company's corruption case. It turns out that the man's father was Mr. Burhan. His father's right hand was in charge of the company before Fina's father married.

Fina, who knew about this, tried to throw the man in jail. But what power. Her boyfriend is much smarter than her. He has no evidence. His parents' property had also been taken over by him. Fina was later evicted from her own home. Thankfully Fina still had the jewelry left. He sold all that and went after me here. He was depressed and very depressed about it. He also continued to blame himself, not knowing the man's intentions when he became his girlfriend. I kept him up and tried to take him to a psychiatrist to get him back. But he always refused. He would act as if he was fine in front of others and hide his mental state. The son sighed again and looked at me.

"I think I know why she said you were still dating. He doesn't want you to leave him either. Betrayed him. So that he dares to be so to you Son," I tried to answer the Son's gaze even with a heavy heart

"All right." Rena spoke again. I seem to know who can help us solve this problem. The three of us will gather in that house again tomorrow and I'll take the man with me. Take it easy he's a trustworthy man.

Me, Rena and Son then end this conversation and wait until tomorrow. I didn't expect it at all. That Fina who seemed to be behaving so disrespectfully, had a dark past. I can't blame him or the Son for this. I just hope he can recover from his trauma soon and the Son no longer feels guilty about him.
