Before stepping foot out of the house, my father read 'Basmalah' first and then read the verse of the chair, asking for protection to Allah SWT.
After reading it my father opened the umbrella he carried and then paddled me and began to move his feet toward the residence of the grandmother.
••••••
Dad walked very carefully because the torrential rain made the road that my father and I passed a little slippery, dad just kept walking by carrying me and his right hand was used to paddle me. So I can avoid the rain tonight.
Sholawat demi sholawat he chanted when walking in the rain tonight, little by little my crying began to subside not like before.
The sholawat chant from my father was able to calm me down a bit.
"Thank God, your crying is beginning to stop, son." My father's thanks.
I as a little baby just responded with a sweet smile.
It did not take long, approximately only 10 minutes father has arrived at the residence of Grandma, Mother Rastani, and Father M.
Tok tok tok tok
"Assalamu'alaikum." Greetings from father when he finished knocking on the door
"Assalamu'alaikum" this is the second greeting that my father said.
The sound of an open door began to be heard which was accompanied by a reply to the greeting, "Wa'alaikumsalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh."
The one who opened the door was my mother, Rastani's mother.
"Eh and Fahri. Come in, Mas." Rastani's mother said kindly
My father also fulfilled my mother Rastani's request, he walked into the house and stopped right in the living room.
"Please sit down, ma'am." My mother said again
My father responded with the phrase "Yes"
"Tumben came here tonight, mas? It still rained too. Is Alira fussing again?" the question that Mother Rastani asked seemed to know the state of my heart that seemed to miss someone so much that I cried nonstop.
"Yes. This is Alira fussy from earlier, ask to see Mom. Mom any?" Dad asked me where Grandma was because I didn't see Grandma, maybe I was asleep, he thought.
"Oh there is, in his room. Let me call you first."
After the sentence was spoken from the lips of Mother Rastani, she set foot into the room owned by her father-in-law (My grandmother's room).
When my mother was out of sight, Father M came out of the room and headed to the living room where Dad and I were.
My father thought that M's father was asleep, it turned out to be wrong.
"No, just got there"
"Why is your body a little wet, Mom?" ask father M to father Fahri because he saw father's clothes a little wet Fahri exposed to heavy rain earlier.
But because of his affection for me, so he was willing to rain to deliver me, fulfilling my wishes. He was willing to endure the cold of the night, he let go of the umbrella he carried just to paddle me without covering himself anyway.
You are my hero, Father.
"Yes outside it is still raining heavily with a slightly strong wind, so I use the umbrella to protect Alira only. Let me feel the cold." The words of Fahri's father are so sincere, the struggle is extraordinary to make his children happy. Masya Allah.
"Awhile, my mother." Pamit father M to father Fahri
"Yes"
2 Minutes later
Father M returned to the living room along with the appearance of Mother Rastani and Grandma. Father M out of his room with 1 shirt equipped with a towel and handed the shirt to Father Fahri.
"It's a change first, let's not catch a cold." Said Father M advising Father Fahri to immediately change his wet clothes with dry clothes.
"Ah yes thanks." Father Fahri's thanks to Father M
"This is alira let me carry it"
This speech is a grandmother's greeting to Fahri's father.
Rastani's mother, go back inside to the kitchen to make warm drinks for Father M, Father Fahri and also Grandma.
It didn't take long, only about 5 minutes. Rastani's mother has finished preparing her warm drink. Then he served it on the living room table.
Fahri's father handed me over to Grandma, and the sling turned to Grandma too.
When I was in my grandmother's arms, Fahri's father said goodbye to the bathroom. He wanted to change the clothes that Father M had given him.
"Dear grandma, why fussy baby. I mean, same grandma"
I just smiled in response and hugged Grandma.
I felt a deep longing for my grandmother, though only this afternoon I separated from him because Mother S after returning from work picked me up to come home to our house which is not far from the house that grandmother and Mother Rastani lived in.
I don't think I want to lose my grandmother, I feel like there's something strange inside me. Before, I was never like this.
