Scratches of Destiny

Scratches of Destiny
Rain = My Cry

Every day I was always with Rastani's mother and M's father, not infrequently I slept in her house.

Especially when I was a baby, my grandmother was still alive. I was always there, morning, afternoon, evening, night.

There was a day when I troubled everyone, especially my late father.

By nightfall, I was crying incessantly in search of my grandmother.

"Mr Grandma" I kept calling her that name.

My father and mother felt sorry to see me crying hysterically like that, as if I had not met my grandmother for a long time, when I had just met my grandmother this afternoon.

The night is getting thicker, the rain does not stop. It was like I knew how I felt at the time.

"Cup cup dear. can not cry yes, Alira will be a smart child later if the rain has subsided we go to grandma's house." Said my mother to calm me down.

"Let me hold her, let me try to calm Alira" said my father, who seemed to feel sorry for my mother because I was too guilty to silence me, but my cries never stopped.

I really trouble everyone.

My father replaced my mother to hold me and try to silence me.

When I was in his arms, "Alira, the son of a smart father. Can't be naughty, son. Later when the rain has stopped I will take you to the place of grandma, son. now Alira can not cry anymore yes."

After those words were spoken, my father kissed my forehead affectionately.

My crying still did not stop one bit, which was even more becoming. So that makes my father confused in what other way so that I do not cry.

My crying is getting louder.

Shortly after my father walked to the back near the kitchen with a position that is still faithful to carry me.

I walked to that place to get an umbrella.

"Where are you going?" ask one of my brothers

"You drove your sister to Grandma's house." Answer my father

"It still rains, yeah." My brother said again

"No papa, son. What matters is that your sister doesn't cry anymore." My father said with his best smile

My mother who was in the bathroom came out and walked back to the living room.

"You go to Mom's house, pity Alira. I can't bear to see him cry like this." My father said with a face that was so sad to see me cry earlier

"It's still raining, Mom. Here let me try to silence him again, maybe he drowsiness too that's why fussy." My mother said with her hand that was about to take me from my father's arms.

"No papa, Mom. Poor Alira." said my father who still wants to take me to my grandmother's house

"Yes, then I'll come with you, mas."

"You don't have to stay home with the kids" my dad said

"But mas.." My mother's words were cut because my father said,

"That's it, Mom. No papa. You stay home, don't come. Raining."

"Yes, be careful, Mom."

"Yes. Yes, I left first." Pamit my father

"When I get on the bike, I'll come along." My mother said

"I'm on foot. You're home already." Father said

"Assalamu'alaikum" he continued

"Wa'alaikumsalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh." Answer my mother

"Dad I'm coming..." My brother said

"No, it's still raining outside. You're home, yeah." My father answered me with such a soft word.

"Well, I'll leave for a minute." Pamit dad again

"be careful, father." My brothers answered by kissing the back of my father's hand.

"Assalamu'alaikum" Greetings my father

"Wa'alikumsalam warahmatulli wabaraktuh." Answer my mother and my brothers.

Before stepping foot out of the house, my father read 'Basmalah' first and then continued by reading the verse of the chair, asking for protection to Allah SWT.

After reading it my father opened the umbrella he was carrying. Then, it sat me down and began to move its feet towards the grandmother's residence.
