Rhinayung
Grief Granny

My grandmother's house is only about 200 meters from my parents' house. My grandmother was my father's parents, but their relationship was not good. I don't know what causes their relationship to be bad. All I remember when I was in kindergarten, my father went berserk and was about to burn down my grandmother's house. Many neighbors and village elders condemned my father's actions. No one dared to report to the police.

My grandmother lives alone. Her three other children lived. Only my father was close to my grandmother.

"Rinayung, tomorrow the stalls close first. Capital is up. Feelings, merchandise is always running out every day. But where's the money? Especially cigarettes. Every day the cigarettes run out. But zonk's insertion. Did any buyers enter the shop?" my grandmother said to me.

The deg! My heart is beating fast. I can't answer my grandmother's questions. I really feel sorry for Grandma. His age is so dusk. But to live everyday, grandma had to find her own. Sometimes, grandma entrusts me to look after the stall in the afternoon. Because grandma had to go to the fields, foraging for grandma's pet goats.

"Rinayung, tomorrow please send a letter to Ms. Lik. Say, if grandma needs money for capital. Miss Lik you have not sent money for grandma for two years," continued the grandmother with a voice of grief.

I remained silent, trying to hold back the tears. Really, this is a big mistake in my life. Right now, I must dare to rebel. I have to dare to change and throw away my vices.

"Good, Grandma! Tomorrow I'll send it through the post office. But grandma wrote the letter, huh?" I said in a soft voice and bowed face.

"Yes, the grandmother wrote the letter. While the shop closes first. Blas, there's no money left for shopping!"

"Yes, Grandma! Then I'll go to the fields, Grandma! I'm going with Grandma to find grass for goats" I asked.

Grandma got up from her seat, then took a cup of her favorite fresh tea. Tea tubruk that I make every day, until I memorize the size and dose.

"In the field it's bad, Rinayung! You better stay home. You're tired after half a day at school" my grandmother said after sipping her favorite tea.

Yeah, I know it's bad in the fields. Hot, dirty and itchy. I want to ease my grandmother's burden. I don't want to be a thorn in the flesh forever.

"Rinayoung! Coming in!" call dad.

My father's voice this time wasn't too jarring. I followed, and then entered the house. I thought this time it would be better.

"Why are you even riding, not in your grandmother's shop?" ask her in a medium voice.

"Mranny's shop closed temporarily. Grandma has no more capital to sell. Grandma's money is up!" I answered casually.

I looked up to see my father's face. It seemed to be angry now, not as calm as it was when I first called.

"Fuck up! Go to your grandmother's house. Find the gold that's saved!"

"The house is locked" I said slowly.

"God! Don't be stupid! Didn't you get the duplicate key? Let's quickly find your grandmother's gold that much. We'll take the smallest one!" snapped at my father, the demon of the future inhabitants of hell, grabbing my tangled long hair.

I just kept quiet, not stealing anymore. I feel sorry for my elderly grandmother, who should have been at that age only used to rest and worship. What should be in his old age is no longer thinking about what to eat for tomorrow.
