Farewell

Regrets always come at the end. It always comes when we have made a mistake that is so fatal and inevitable. That's how Aaron feels right now.

When he realizes the mistake he made, the girl who turned out to be his childhood sweetheart. Aaron thinks Evelyn is willing to reconcile with him and forget everything that happened. Aaron was so confident expressing his feelings, hoping Evelyn accepted them. But he was wrong, even though all his mistakes were forgiven, the pain still left a heal that will never be lost forever.

Now only regrets remain.

Aaron doesn't force anything anymore, after Evelyn's rejection of him. Because he has no right. Aaron resigned if one day Evelyn really wants to go from him.

"Aaron, you seem to have a lot of problems?" anastasia said to her son-in-law, who was visibly uninspired at their first dinner.

Bara shook his head faintly, then draped a warm smile on Anastasia, "No Mom. I'm fine." he replied politely.

"Goodoo. Then you should finish this meal. Your wife's been cooking it all afternoon."

"This.." Aaron's forehead wrinkled at the red soup before him.

"Yes. This is your wife's borscht soup, too." Anastasia offered the food to Aaron.

The man was stunned in his first feed. Aaron glanced at Evelyn who looked busy eating her dinner. The taste of this soup is exactly the same as the soup that was served in his parents' mansion after all these years.

Aaron is initially confused, but after all the pieces of his memory have been collected, Bara finally realizes.

"Aaron? The soup is bad?" asked Anastasia who had seen Aaron's reaction after eating Evelyn's cooking.

"This soup is so good Mom. I like it." replied Aaron.

Aaron continued his dinner, but his heart was wandering. This is still so complicated for him.

"Mom, Dad. Tomorrow morning I have to go home, right now the company really needs me." said Aaron after dinner ended.

"Yes. Its alright. You just go home, Daddy will take good care of Mommy." Alex said.

"Sorry Dad. Elin didn't come home with me. For the past few days, Elin still wants to hang out with you" Aaron said.

Evelyn immediately turned her head after Aaron said, when did she ask to stay here?

"Are you so Elin? Mommy and Daddy are okay. You better go home with your husband." persuaded Anastasia who didn't like her daughter to be separated from Aaron.

Evelyn was about to reply, but Aaron cut her off right away. "Elin just got together with you Mom. My wife still misses you guys so much." Aaron's convinced.

Aaron had to do this. Every time he was with her, Aaron could feel Evelyn's discomfort. Therefore, he wanted to get away from Evelyn, rather than make her suffer even more.

After dinner, Aaron and Evelyn enter the room. Both decided to sleep. If usually every night Aaron hugged him when he was about to sleep, now Aaron turned to his back.

Evelyn was confused by Aaron's attitude. He could feel Aaron moving away from him. If Aaron thought Evelyn would be happy away from him, then the thinking was wrong. Somehow a speck in the girl's heart was not willing when Aaron would leave her in this house.

Evelyn stared at Aaron's back while holding onto his chest that was involuntarily beating for the man. After hearing the man's statement a moment ago, it was a lie if his heart did not tremble.

A speck of happy feeling was tucked into the depths of his heart. But the taste was buried deep by a heal of wounds that still had not dried up. His heart was like numbness to the man's declaration of love.

Freedom, then gathering with her parents, that's what Evelyn wanted all along. But why, after Aaron slowly gave his wish, did his heart seem unwilling? His heart was very sick without him noticing, and was afraid of losing this man.

Evelyn always brushed aside her love for Aaron. The girl always lied to her heart in the name of wounds that had not healed.

By morning, Aaron will be completely gone. Ever since waking up, Evelyn had hoped Aaron would change his decision and take her home with him. But it seemed that Evelyn had to swallow the bitter pill, Aaron had only been silent since morning.

"Please be good. If there's anything, call me right away." said Aaron, who spoke for the first time this morning.

Evelyn bit her lips, holding back the tears that were curling up in her eyes. This guy is really going to leave.

Evelyn nodded, "Be careful on the road. Say hello to Mother and Kane." she replied in a trembling voice, whether the man was conscious or not.

"I'll tell you. Enjoy the happy days you once lost. May you be happy. I'm gone." said the man without leaving his usual kiss, or teasing him like early morning.

Aaron entered the car that was already parked there and immediately drove it. Evelyn realized the meaning of the man's words just now. Those words were as if saying a farewell sentence.

Her tears just fell. "Sir.." call him. But Aaron who had driven his car quickly did not hear anymore.

Be ill. His heart throbbed pain. Evelyn ran after the man, but too late, the man had already completely disappeared.

"You left me..."

While in the car, Aaron held back his tears. Her decision was right to release Evelyn from her entanglement. Evelyn had already suffered too much to be by his side, and did not deserve to suffer if she continued to defend him.
