Kane's Story

For almost a month Kane took good care of Evelyn. It's just that this time, Kane caring for Evelyn had a lot of difficulties. Kane doesn't know what happened to Aaron, his employer. Usually the man would let her take care of Evelyn, if she was sick.

But now Aaron has even restricted him to visiting Evelyn, only being allowed to deliver food twice a day. Evelyn was not even allowed to stay in the main house.

Not only that, the food for Evelyn was still just rotten rice with egg dishes as usual. Kane therefore often stole decent food and sometimes set aside his food rations to give to Evelyn.

"Thank you Kane." Evelyn said weakly receiving a plate of food Kane brought. Kane sat on a thin carpet in Evelyn's room. "You're putting your food aside again, Kane?" evelyn asked with a sad look.

"Yes, Miss, eat Miss, I can't bear to see Miss eating that poor meal" Kane replied.

Evelyn nodded softly, "Thank you Kane." that's the only word that could be said from those pale lips.

Evelyn ate her food so voraciously, like a very hungry person. Not without reason, Evelyn was only fed twice a day, even with a small portion.

Kane's heart was so sad to see Evelyn suffered so much, Evelyn was like a weak helpless creature, life was reluctant to die. Kane could not hold back his tears in front of Evelyn.

"Miss's legs are better?" kane asked in her voice, her sobs had stopped as Evelyn finished her meal.

"Why cry Kane, hey I'm fine." Evelyn said trying to calm Kane down. "Look.." moving his legs. "My feet are healed" Evelyn smiled.

Kane was moved to see Evelyn who remained enthusiastic in the midst of his current suffering, really if he was in the position of Evelyn, Kane would definitely not be able to bear this heavy burden.

"Thank God Miss." said Kane.

"Straighten Miss's legs, I'll start massaging." pinta Kane, her wrinkled hands moved through her uniform pocket, took out a special bottle of massage oil she had deliberately brought from the mansion.

With doubt Evelyn straightened her legs, she was still reluctant and felt bad if Kane always helped her. But how else, his legs must also be healed and if left his legs can swell.

"Of course Miss, everyone must have a family" Kane replied but his hands were still focused on massaging Evelyn's legs. "I have two children, the biggest of whom is the same age as Mr. Aaron, and the youngest of whom is also the same age as Miss." Kane explained.

"really? Then where do they live Kane?" Evelyn looks enthusiastic about discussing the Kane family.

"My eldest son is already working out of town, while my youngest daughter lives in the main mansion."

"Mansion main?" confused Evelyn.

Kane smiled, "Yes Miss, the main mansion, where Mrs Chlarent lives." Evelyn just nodded in understanding.

"I've worked for the Lisin family for a long time, as I remember when Mrs Chloe and Mr. Gennady were newly married, the Lisin family was very kind to my family, when my husband was gone for all eternity, It was the Lisin family who replaced my late husband as the breadwinner. They let us stay with them and also paid for my children's school fees. But it's unfortunate that people as good as they should be called by God that fast." "Sorry Kane I cut, Mrs Chloe who is it?" ask Evelyn.

"Mrs Chloe is Mr. Aaron's biological mother, and she died when Mr. Aaron was five years old." Kane could see Evelyn's puzzled look.

"Miss must be confused." Kane chuckles.

"Mrs Chlarent is Mr. Aaron's adoptive mother. Mrs Chlarent is the one who saved Mr. Aaron from the murder of Mr. Aaron's father and one of Lisin's loyal followers." Kane.
