"Uncle.." cried Evelyn when she saw Gerry entering Mommy Anastasia's nursery. Evelyn who also missed her Uncle, could not bear to not hug him.
"How's Uncle doing?" Evelyn smiled sweetly.
"My news is good Miss." Reply to that smile. "Miss is not skinny anymore." Gerry said seeing his nephew wasn't as straightforward as the last time they met.
Of course, since living in the main mansion, Chlarent had really paid attention to the nutritional intake for Evelyn. The woman paid for all the nutritional deficiencies she didn't get when she was with Aaron.
Look, now Evelyn looks healthy and full. His once-tyre face had already begun to bulge back.
Gerry looked at Anastasia who was sleeping on the bed. "How's Mrs Anastasia doing?" Gerry looks sad, actually he had known about the news of Anastasia for a long time. She was the one who was going to tell Evelyn, but couldn't because Evelyn's phone couldn't be reached.
"That's Uncle. I wish Mommy could face her illness." Evelyn smiled as she looked at her beloved Mommy.
"Hopefully." Gerry chiming.
"Uncle, I'd like to ask you something, but we'll just talk outside." Gerry nodded and walked out of the room.
"What does Miss want to ask?" Gerry asked sitting next to Evelyn in the waiting chair.
"I've been wanting to ask Uncle this for a long time, but I didn't have a chance. I'd like to ask, did Daddy have any enemies?"
"Enemy?" Gerry's forehead wrinkled.
"Yes Uncle. Maybe fifteen years ago? Or has Daddy ever had a fight with his business colleagues?" Evelyn was so curious waiting for Gerry's answer.
"Wait Miss. Why did Miss ask that. Does it have anything to do with Mr Alexander's case?" Gerry was confused, why Evelyn suddenly questioned this.
"Very Uncle." Evelyn took a breath. "Uncle you know, actually the person who was behind all the suffering that my family went through was my own husband."
Daddy is in jail, Mommy is dying in the hospital, while himself is in the grip of the cruelty of the man who masterminded all the misfortunes of his life.
Gerry's flat face crinkled in hearing Evelyn's words. "What do you mean Miss? I don't understand?"
"I'm sorry Uncle for not telling you that long ago. Actually it was Mr. Aaron who framed Daddy in the tender." Evelyn looked at Gerry in tears.
"Uncle must be confused as to why he did that to Daddy. Mr. Aaron said that Daddy was the one who killed his parents fifteen years ago." Evelyn took a look at Gerry's shocked face.
"Therefore I asked Uncle if Daddy had any enemies in the past. Uncle's been serving Daddy a long time, hasn't he? Uncle must know better than me."
Gerry tried to calm himself from his shock. He didn't think Aaron did all this.
Gerry shook his head, after thinking hard about Evelyn's question.
"In the business world, the enemy must be there. But as I recall, Mr. Alexander has never experienced a dispute with them. Miss knows for herself the nature of Mr. Alexander, she must be wise in taking steps. And will not do anything as dirty as kill his enemies." Gerry was honest.
"That means Daddy's not Uncle's killer?"
"I know Mr. Alexander very well, and have been with him most of the time. I'm sure one hundred percent, he's never done that."
"I thought Uncle. My dad is innocent." Evelyn was relieved, after telling Gerry. "Now I don't know how to explain to Mr. Aaron any more, that Daddy wasn't the killer." Evelyn said lethargic.
"The only way is to ask Mr. Alexander directly. We can look for evidence from Mr. Alexander."
Evelyn smiled brightly, "Uncle is right, we have to see Daddy. Come on Uncle, we're leaving now." Evelyn was so excited. He stood up but was surprised to see the man standing in front of him.
"Where are you going?" That sharp look pierced his soul.
