31. Hope and Certainty

...Giving hope is easier than giving certainty...

This Monday morning, the queen had someone on her desk. That person was Deva, the upperclassman who had once expressed his feelings. Declaring love and asking the Queen to be her boyfriend, it's more like that. The Queen did not give an answer. The Queen still asked for time to consider her decision.

Not infrequently Deva who is the sister of her brother's friend, came to the Queen's house. Just visiting and asking the Queen for answers. The queen still did not give her answer, making Deva more curious of course.

"Gue to class. Don't forget the meal" Deva looked at the Queen who was focusing her attention in the other direction.

The Queen focused her attention on Gavin and the new disciple's Eagle. Ah is not the Queen alone but almost all of the disciples who were there looked towards Gavin and the Eagle who had just entered the entrance of the classroom, not least Deva. Deva looked at them, as it followed where the Queen's limelight was.

There Gavin accidentally put his eyes on the Queen who was sitting next to Deva. Their eyes meet.

Now is a time of rest, but Gavin chose to stay in a class like this. Accompanied by his favorite phone, headset and music.

Earlier, Candra and Eagle, who had officially become students in Gavin's class, took him to the cafeteria. However, Gavin refuses, and tells Candra to accompany Eagle to the canteen. Fortunately, Candra and Eagle are easily familiar. Even now they are my friends. Of course it was because of Gavin's wish. Gavin chose to sit alone and let the Eagle sit in the chair he used to occupy. The eagle refuses, but Gavin forces him.

Several times the clap felt on his shoulders. Gavin tried to ignore him, so that the person who patted him on the shoulder stopped. But instead of stopping, the clap was even faster.

Gavin would not open his eyes. Gavin did not close his eyes again after it opened. He did not expect that the one who had patted him on the shoulder was the Queen.

"What?"

The queen pursed her lips after hearing such a short question from Gavin. Gavin looked at the Queen straight.

Without answering, the Queen immediately brought her body to sit on the empty chair next to Gavin. Gavin did not take his eyes off the Queen, and what Gavin did was known to the Queen.

"Gue wants a story" said the Queen suddenly she did not try to look at Gavin as she usually does. But why does it feel so hard, like something strange. Ah this happened after the Queen heard Kayla saying that Gavin loved her. The Queen did not expect that such simple words could have a considerable effect on her.

Gavin returned the Queen's gaze. "Please"

The queen was upset to hear Gavin's response. Too cold.

"Don't listen to music first dong" The Queen protested in a resentful tone.

After hearing the protest from the Queen. Gavin pulled out the side of the headset and put it next to the Queen's ear. The queen wanted to protest but Gavin spoke first.

"That song is delicious. I can still hear your voice"

The Queen understood that Gavin did not want to stop listening to the music, so she shared the headset with the Queen. Let them both enjoy the music.

"Gue's been kind to Kayla. I am very happy. We're it-"

"Aren't you going to the cafeteria?" said Gavin who of course made the Queen stop talking.

"No. I keep going yes. We are now in the department of"

"But breakfast this morning?"

"Udah Gavin's. Sis Deva brought me food" replied the Queen.

Feeling annoyed that Gavin's dariitadi cut off her speech, the Queen finally answered quickly until she realized that she should not have brought Deva in this talk.

The queen looked at Gavin hesitantly. Gavin's gaze was no longer on the Queen's face, was Gavin jealous of the Queen's words?

"Why diem? Don't want to follow the story?" gavin asked with a straight look ahead.

The Queen had lost her spirit to tell stories. He was lazy to tell. Now all he had in mind was the guy next to him.

"Let's tell me the story"

Gavin turned his eyes to the Queen. Same with the Queen. But none of them spoke, only silence.

"Lo likes Deva?" ask Gavin suddenly.

The queen frowned, feeling strange when Gavin suddenly asked like that. Does that have anything to do with what Gavin saw this morning, when Deva was with the Queen? Or because Gavin knew that Deva was feeding the Queen.

"Gue doesn't know" replied the honest Queen. He did not know how he felt about Deva.

"It's okay" Gavin shook his head then turned his gaze away from the Queen. People are usually lying. And the Queen is aware of that

"liks. Your eyes say there's nothing"

Gavin wants to dodge. But it will be in vain. So it's better that he confesses.

"Gue can't lie to you" I'm Gavin.

"Lo jealous?"

"Huh?"

"No. I forget I'm tad-"

"Yes I'm jealous" I'm Gavin. Because he knew, that he couldn't lie to the Queen.

"Lo find out how you feel about Deva. It's a pity that he waited too long. While he waited, he hoped. He wants certainty" added Gavin.

"Should we talk about Deva?" ask the Queen in a dislike tone.  Her lips returned.

"Gue's just giving advice"

"Thank you" the smiling Queen forced upon Gavin.

Gavin nodded his head in response to the Queen's words.

"Lo's mad at me?" The queen looked at Gavin with a hesitant look. Actually the Queen did not want to ask that, but the Queen could not allow Gavin's sudden cold demeanor like this.

"Why indeed?"

"Yes, you act like you don't like my story. Don't like me being here?"

"Gue likes" Gavin replied briefly. Without looking at the Queen. I don't know why Gavin didn't want to look at the Queen. Every time he looked at the Queen, Gavin always remembered the incident this morning, when the Queen was with Deva. And Gavin doesn't like it.

"Now who do you like?" ask the Queen in a high tone. The Queen is angry.

"Nothing"

"Ohh" The queen rolled her eyeballs. He was upset by Gavin's words. Gavin doesn't love her, does he? The Queen did not like Gavin's answer.

"Nothing I like. What I love"

"Who?"

"Lo"

"Lo still love me?" The queen looked at Gavin with both eyes full of hope. The Queen hopes Gavin's answer is yes.

"Yes. But you don't believe it, do you?"

"Yes Before. Now I believe" the Queen smiled broadly at Gavin yes even though Gavin was not looking at him. The queen was happy because Gavin's answer was the same as her expectations.

"Oh"

The Queen's smile slowly faded. Both corners of the lips were raised, then down.

"Kok oh doang asked dong, why"

Queen's Protest.

"Why?"

"Gue believed because Kayla said. He said that you love me" replied the Queen and she immediately smiled again.

"Lo doesn't believe my feelings. You just believe what Kayla says" Gavin points a look at the Queen. His tone was high and full of emphasis. Gavin slowly removed the headset from the Queen's ear. Then he removed also next to the headset from his ear.

"It's not Gavin" said the Queen in a soft tone. He felt guilty for his words. The Queen knew now that Gavin was angry with her.

"It's not. But gini, you're more trusting of your friend than I am who knows it. If my words can't be trusted let alone feelings" After saying that, Gavin stood up from his seat and stepped away from the Queen.
