CHAPTER 51

In the room Adara was crying considering Devano who was willing to sacrifice himself to protect him from the criminals who had kidnapped him.

"I have to go to the hospital" Adara came out of her room.

He got down and took the keys to his car, when he wanted to get out of Alex's house stopped his steps.

"Where do you want to go this night, go back to your room and rest because it's your wedding day tomorrow!" said Alex.

"No Dad, I have to go to the hospital to see Devano" Adara said.

Alex pulls Adara's hand and takes her in, Kanaya and Handoko's extended family sitting in the living room turn to the origin of Alex and Adara's voices.

"Dad, Adara please let Adara see Devano!" adara said, pleading with Alex.

"Once again Dad says don't get in touch with Hanendra Adara's family, all the trouble in our family starts with that jerk!" yelled Alex who could not hold back his anger.

Kanaya approached her husband and daughter who were near the stairs, "What is this?" ask Kanaya.

"Mother!" adara said while hugging Kanaya.

"What are you fighting about?" kanaya asked back but was not responded by her husband and daughter.

"Why should we suffer, Father, why should it not be Father and Opa who accept this suffering. Why should me and Devano bear it!" adara said as she let out all the burdens in her heart.

Everyone was shocked because Alex who was already unable to contain his anger immediately slapped his daughter's cheek.

"Maas ...."

"Silence Kanaya!" alex said with a cold look.

"Would it be appropriate for you to say those words to your parents just because that jerk had sacrificed? Is this the manners we've taught you Adara?" ask Alex in a firm tone.

Alex pulls Adara from Kanaya's arms, "Look Dad, Devano deserves it because of his own father" Alex said.

Mr. Handoko approaches his son and tries to appease Alex, "What Adara says is true is Nak, the parents who have done why the children bear it."

"Take Adara into Kanaya's room, don't let her out before the kabul ijab finishes tomorrow!" alex's orders.

Kanaya takes Adara up to the second floor and takes her inside her room, Adara just cries considering Devano's last smile.

"Trust! I will always protect you Adara," said Devano again heard in Adara's ear.

Adara and Kanaya arrive at the room, they enter Adara trying to ask her mother to talk to her father to give her permission.

"Mother, Adara please talk to Daddy!" adara Pinta.

"Son, forget about Devano tomorrow you're getting married to Doctor Sharif!" Kanaya.

"I shouldn't have rashly asked Opa and Dad to marry us just because of my fear of Devano, in order to cover up the mistakes that I and Devano have done, Doctor Sharif has to bear it and then what is the difference between me and Dad and Opa" said Adara.

"Mother can't do anything, baby!" kanaya said as she hugged her daughter.

Adara returned to tears, she did not know what the problems between her family and the Devano family until her love was the victim of hostility between two families.

Adara let go of her embrace at Kanaya, she looked at the woman who had given birth to her twenty-six years ago.

"Do I have to hurt the feelings of four people, Mother? Shouldn't everyone be given a second chance?" ask Adara while wiping her tears.

Kanaya just kept quiet she did not know what to answer with her daughter's question, it was true that everyone had a second chance but the time could not make that second chance come true.

"Mother can't answer it right, so let me alone Mother!" adara said then went up to her bed.

Kanaya leaves her daughter she goes out and closes the door of Adara's room, she goes down and returns to the living room joined together with the rest of the family.

Adara calls Devano's cell phone but is inactive she is very agitated given the condition of the man who has sacrificed her dying life.

"Sister, I have to ask for help with Kak Kavin!" adara Gumam.

Not long after Kavin came to his sister's room, he sat on the edge of Adara's bed.

"What can I help you with?" ask Kavin.

"No Arka's number, I want to call her." Answer Adara.

"For what?"

"I want to know Devano's situation, I've contacted his phone but it's off."

Kavin tinkers with the phone and gives it to Adara, Adara quickly copies Arka's number on her phone.

He immediately contacted Arka but there was no answer, when the fourth time Arka finally answered his call.

"Hello."

"Arka."

"Who?"

"Nadara!"

Tut's... Tut's... Akra's interrupted call hangs up, Adara looks sad as she tries to call Arka back.

No reply from Arka made her tears return, Kavin who felt sorry for his sister immediately hugged her tried to calm Adara.

"I'm going to the hospital for information, now rest." Kavin.

Adara complied with her brother's words, after making sure Adara slept Kavin left her sister's room, she tried to contact Arka but there was no answer.

Kavin breaks out with his family for unsuspecting reasons, especially with his father, Kavin gets into his car and leaves the Handoko family residence.

He again contacted Arka to find out at the hospital where Devano was treated, many times he contacted Arka finally answered as well.

"What's wrong?"

"Which hospital is Devano in?"

"Gem."

Tut's... Tut's.. Kavin decides on his call and goes to Permata hospital to find out about Devano's condition.

Twenty minutes after Kavin's car stopped in front of the hospital, he got out of the car and got into the hospital.

"Where's the ICU's space cluster?" ask Kavin to one of the Sisters passing by.

"Father, just go straight and turn left" replied the Sister.

"Thank you!"

Kavin followed Sister's instructions before long he saw Arka sitting in front of the ICU room, he also approached Arka who seemed to close his eyes.

Arka's eyes opened as Kavin sat beside her, "Did your sister tell you to come?" ask Arka.

"He was very worried about Devano" Kavin replied.

"He doesn't have to worry about the man who hurt him, just forget it" Arka said.

"I warned Devano not to do what the Handoko family could hate, but he did it anyway."

Arka smiled as she looked at Kavin, "He sacrificed his love to protect the woman he loved, but still your sister hated him."

"Not hate him!" kavin.

"Then what if he did not hate her, he chose to marry the Doctor. When your sister was kidnapped where you were especially her future husband why must the man she hated come to protect her without thinking about her life!" yell Arka.

Arka already considers Devano as his brother after the accident nineteen years ago that killed both parents. Devano took Arka who was sitting beside the grave of his parents when he was eight years old to live in the Hanendra family residence.
