Melan Assessment

Upon her return from her son's office, James' mother kept thinking about Maya further. He was sitting in the living room, thinking about his brief conversation with Maya. He felt increasingly curious about the background and lunge Maya. James' mother wanted to see if Maya was the right person for James.

Thinking out loud, James' mother recalled the conversation with Melan. Maybe Melan could provide more information about Maya. James's mother took his cell phone and called Melan.

"Hello, Melan. This is James' mother. I'm sorry to interrupt, but I want to talk about Maya" James' mother said carefully.

Melan who heard James' mother's voice immediately replied politely, "Hello, ma'am. Sure, can I help you?"

James' mother explained her desire to know more about Maya. He wanted to make sure that his son would be happy with his partner in the future.

"Can you provide more information about Maya? I was curious about her background, education, and work experience" James' mother said carefully.

Melan understands James' mother's worries. He explains honestly that Maya is a very talented and dedicated person. She has a solid educational background and has demonstrated exceptional abilities in their research and collaboration.

"Maya has a bachelor's degree in a field relevant to her current job" Melan said. "He has successfully completed PKL with excellent results and has made significant contributions in our company. I see him as responsible, hardworking, and with good leadership qualities."

James' mother listened carefully. He was relieved to hear that Maya had a good background and had shown a solid performance at the company. However, there was still a sense of curiosity lingering in his heart.

"Do you also know about Maya's private life? Does he have values that fit James?" ask James' mother carefully.

Melan understands James' mother's concerns and explains that Maya is kind, friendly, and has good values. He is independent, hardworking, and has high integrity.

"Maya is someone who cares about others and has a humble attitude. He always tries to give his best in everything" Melan said sincerely.

James' mother felt a little calmer hearing Melan's explanation. She feels that Maya has good qualities and can be a good match for James.

"Thank you, Melan, for the information. I appreciate it" said James' mother sincerely. "I will continue to support James and Maya as his personal assistants in your place at a later date. Hope everything goes well."

Melan thanked James' mother for her support. He hopes that James and Maya will have a bright future together.

Melan sat in silence, pondering the words of James' mother. She begins to consider the possibility that her mother is considering Maya as a potential match for James. However, his mind also floated on the woman named Ivon who had been betrothed by her mother.

Melan took a deep breath, trying to think clearly. He recalled how James had shared the incompatibility and discomfort he felt towards Ivon. James had no interest in Ivon and did not feel the relationship would work.

James' mother felt trapped in a difficult situation. In a way, there is Ivon, the son of his best friend, who wants to marry James soon. However, James feels no match for Ivon and has no deep feelings of love for him.

On the other hand, there is Maya, a new woman who has just appeared in James' life. James' mother did not know Maya well and did not know much about her background and personality. However, he sees that James looks happy and comfortable around Maya.

James' mother decided to discuss the matter with James openly and honestly. He asks James to share his feelings about Ivon and Maya, as well as what he wants in his life.

Without wasting much time, Melan invites Maya to have lunch together. They choose a comfortable and quiet restaurant to sit and talk to. As they sat at the table, the atmosphere felt relaxed and friendly.

Melan begins the conversation by asking about Maya's news and how she feels after completing PKL and undergoing the thesis preparation process to date. Maya replies with a smile, recounting her experiences and mixed feelings during those times.

During lunch, they share their stories and experiences at the Trotoarts company. Melan gave praise to Maya for her dedication and amazing work during the PKL. She sees great potential in Maya and is convinced that she has a bright future in the world of work.

In addition to discussing work, they also talk about personal life. Melan asks Maya about her hobbies, interests, and future dreams. Maya enthusiastically tells about the passion of the three with her best friend in advancing her village.

During lunch, Maya feels comfortable talking to Melan. He feels open to sharing his dreams and the uncertainty that exists within him. Melan, as a mentor and senior in the company, provides support and inspiration to Maya to continue to develop herself and pursue her passion.

“How did you respond to our boss, Mr. James.” Ask Melan

“He is friendly, humble and a little cool always focus on target,” Melan replied

Maya is very enthusiastic about telling anything, and she has a different view of James. His feelings for James could include gratitude for the support and opportunities he provided during his time at the company, as well as appreciation for the leadership and policies applied by James. However, Maya's feelings for James can also be affected by certain incidents and situations that may affect their relationship, such as Maya's displeasure at Ivon's presence and the mixed feelings that arise after the events at the restaurant. Only Maya can express her feelings for James.

“So you're jealous of Ivon?”

Maya wants to protest but is given a code to be quiet and enjoy the food in front, and during that time they are just silent which makes Maya feel uncomfortable with the situation. Melan as a character in the story may have her own personal views and judgments. If Melan considers that Maya has little feelings for James, it may be based on his observations of their interactions or his own feelings towards the situation. However, only Maya knows for sure how she feels about James.

After lunch is over, they thank each other for a fun and precious time. Melan tells Maya that she is always available to provide help and support in Maya's career journey.

Maya goes off with mixed feelings but is also motivated after that lunch. He feels appreciated and supported by Melan, as well as having greater confidence in himself and his future but on the other hand why accuse him if he likes James.
