Merlin's jealousy

Maya sits in her room, holding her phone with an enthusiastic feeling. After a long time of not meeting with Rani and Siska, he longs for the warmth of their friendship. Quickly, Maya sends a message to the two to arrange a meeting.

"Hi Rani, hi Siska! I really want to be with you two. What if we meet tomorrow night at our favorite place?" maya wrote in her short message.

Shortly thereafter, Rani replies to the message enthusiastically, "Hi Maya! I miss you too. Tomorrow night is okay, I can definitely come!"

Meanwhile, Siska also gave a positive response, "Hi Maya! We can finally meet again. I can do it tomorrow night, I can't wait!"

Maya smiles reading the reply from her two best friends. He was happy because they seemed to miss him as well. After determining the right time and place, Maya waits expectantly to meet with Rani and Siska tomorrow night.

"What's going on? Why do you look so sad?" ask Maya attentively.

Rani let out a long sigh before replying, "Maya, Siska, my thesis has already been rejected twice by the guidance counselor. I feel frustrated and demoralized."

Maya and Siska exchanged concerned views. They knew how hard Rani had worked to complete the thesis, and this rejection was certainly a heavy blow to her.

"But Rani, you don't just give up" Siska said excitedly. "You've been through so many challenges in your life, and I know you have incredible abilities. You can definitely handle this."

Maya touches Rani's arm gently, "Rani, we're here for you. We will always support you. Don't let this rejection break your spirit. Try talking to your supervisor, asking for input and advice on improving your script."

Rani nodded slowly, her cries began to subside. "Thank you, Maya, Siska. You are always by my side, giving me support and encouragement. I'll try again and not just give up."

That night, Maya, Rani, and Siska sit down together, discussing Rani's thesis with great concern. They give each other ideas and input to help Rani improve her script. The passionate and collaborative discussion gave Rani new confidence.

After that night, Rani felt more excited to continue the struggle in completing her script. He knows that even if challenges come, he has two best friends who are always ready to support him.

Shortly after, they clutched again from the door of the cafe open and Merlin entered the room with a haughty step. He looks confident and full of satisfaction to himself. Maya, Rani, and Siska exchanged astonished looks at Merlin's presence.

"Hey, girls! How are you doing? May you guys be fine," said Merlin with a smug smile on his face as he continued to tidy up his hair.

Merlin tidied his hair in a haughty manner. "Oh, just wanted to share the good news with you guys. I just got a big promotion and a recommendation from my college after graduation to work at Trotoarts Inc headquarters, you know what. Maybe one day I will become a manager at that famous company! Unlike you guys, who still seem to be stuck in the same place."

Maya, Rani, and Siska look at each other, unimpressed by Merlin's overbearing attitude. They had learned not to compare themselves to others, and Merlin's haughty attitude only made them more steadfast with their own choices and struggles.

"Very impressive, Merlin. Congratulations on your promotion," Siska said with a sincere smile, trying to maintain a positive attitude.

“Sweet what for advice from people like you” Merlin said provoked his third emotion

Merlin was silent for a moment, feeling not the least bit touched by the wise and mature attitude displayed by Maya, Rani, and Siska.

"Listen, girls. Sorry if my attitude is too arrogant. But indeed we are different classes so sorry your advice is useless to me that soon I will surpass you” Her speech went from there looking for another empty seat.

Maya, Rani, and Siska smiled and nodded their heads in the rhythm of Merlin's game and ignored him. They spend time until the cafe closes to go home. And when going home, in the parking lot Merlin was surprised to see Maya using a car with a driver. She did not expect that Maya had used a more luxurious car than hers plus a private driver. Envy and jealousy flashed through Merlin's mind as he felt defeated.

"Duh Maya, is that the car and driver you hired to try to beat me?" asked Merlin with annoyance because he felt at Maya's playfulness

Maya smiled politely and explained, "Oh this? The company where I was PKL yesterday who gave this facility as part of the award for the results of research I did during the PKL in the company."

“Whataaa??? You're kidding right?” Ask not to believe.

Merlin felt increasingly jealous and dissatisfied with that explanation. She felt that Maya should not have gotten such a facility, and her more accomplished self should have gotten it.

“I have explained and good night merlin, it's late” said maya closed her car door and told edi to leave immediately.
