Eps 33: Fighting the Verdon Monster (3/3).
"I will use my Arbitrium once again, healing Jaka's wound and providing the energy to let out a blue flame. We rework this plan once again, if it still fails, we must quickly get out of the cave and find another way to defeat it" Daya said, looking at Verdon's monster who was still busy shaking his head.
"Sorry .. Because you want to help me, you guys try and get hurt like this" said Maya lowered her head.
Daya and Jaka do not reply to Maya's words, they just pat Maya on the shoulder and smile. Power slightly moved away from Maya and Jaka, he closed his eyes trying to focus. A black aura surrounded the body of Power. Simultaneously Verdon's monster managed to pull out Power's spear from his head. The monster looked towards Power, as if knowing what would happen if Power released the Arbitrium, the monster immediately ran wanting to huddle its horn into the body of Power.
*Gedebuk pulverized ....
The sound of the monster's feet pounding violently struck the surface of the ground. From his voice alone they could tell that Verdon's monster was very heavy. Power opened his eyes, he stuck out his hand and held tightly onto Jaka's hand. Instantly, the aura of Power enveloped Jaka's body. The wounds and energy that Jaka had seemed to heal and fill up as usual. Even Jaka felt himself being flowed by immense power and energy.
Power releases Jaka's hand then moves to the right, seeing Power moving to the right, Jaka takes a position in the middle and Maya on the left. They all stood parallel to the position ready to attack. When the monster was close to Daya, that was when the attack began. Power raised both of his hands to the level of his chest, along with it the wind flow around the surface of the ground where Verdon's monsters ran.
Power inhales the air deeply and then exhales it slowly, after which he smoothes the element, and then,
"Wind element: Vortex ... Wind ... It's wild!" rapal Daya then clenched her hands together firmly. Simultaneously, an enormous amount of wind surrounded Verdon's monster body. Initially the monster continued to run towards the direction of Power, but over time the monster's body lifted from the ground and into a large wind vortex. The wind shaped like a tornado made Verdon's monsters float and swirl in the air.
Wind gusts were felt around the tornado belonging to Daya, their hair was blown by the wind and dust flew. Maya and Daya try to protect her eyes from the wind that brings dust with her, while Jaka seems to be preparing the element. Jaka swung his right hand vertically, along with that blue fire with a very large size hit the tornado belonging to Power which was right in front of him. The huge blue flames and powerful tornadoes coming together made Jaka's blue flames even bigger and stronger. The fire burned Verdon's monster body while still floating inside Power's tornado. The monster roared strongly for a few seconds, then the sound of Verdon monster was silent for a moment.
The cold wind blows into the heat when the Jaka element joins with the Power element. The three of them slightly moved away from Jaka's blue flames because of the heat it generated. After their fire tornado lit up for a few minutes, the attack stopped. Simultaneously Verdon's monster fell to the ground. The monster let out smoke, its body was charred and it looked dead.
"Is the monster dead?" ask Maya to doubt.
"It should be, though," replied Jaka approaching towards Verdon's monster.
Power removes his aura and then follows Jaka's steps. When he was close to the monster, Jaka kicked the monster's body with his right leg slowly. The monster did not retaliate and just quietly lay stiff.
"Hmm .. It looks like he's dead," Daya looked up at Verdon's monster.
"What else are you waiting for? Quickly cut off the horn before he wakes up!" jaka tells Maya to cut the horn of the verdon monster.
"Would the monster wake up again?" tanya Daya was confused.
"Who knows," replied Jaka briefly lifting his shoulders.
Mayapun took the axe from his small bag and cut off Verdon's monster horn and put the horn in the bag.
"Let's get out" asked Maya to step out with a happy look on her face.
Power picked up the spear that had fallen on the ground, wrapped it in black cloth then exited the cave. When they had reached outside, it was seen that the conditions started at night. They also went from the barren rice fields and set their feet towards the village. On the way, Maya asks the condition of the wound that Jaka received.
"Has your wound healed perfectly, Jaka?"
"Ah .. if the wound is closed. But somehow there is still a sense of heat and cold in this scar," said Jaka while holding the scar that has healed perfectly.
"You should be given medicine immediately, Jaka. Looks like Verdon's monster has a poison element in its horn. That's what makes your wound still hurt even though it has healed perfectly."
"Yes, all living things have their own basic elements. For humans, you must already know anything. But for monsters, one of the basic elements was poison. If the attack hits you and feels hot and cold at the same time, it indicates a poison is flowing in your blood," clearly Maya with a view that still pays attention to her steps slowly because of the darkening day.
"What am I supposed to do?" jaka asked in a tone that started to be scared by the small sweat dripping slowly.
"Relax, poison also has a level, and in your case the poison is not too dangerous. I have an antidote for this poison at my grandfather's house."
"Hahh .. thank God," said Jaka exhaled slowly. The burden of his mind seemed to just disappear after Maya told him that in her grandfather's house there was an antidote for poison.
"It turns out that the Arbitrium aura can't cure poisons huh ..," Daya said with a look toward the sky that was almost completely black.
"Of course, because the aura of the arbitrium only heals wounds that are outside the body. If you have a wound in your body, you won't be able to heal it using the Arbitrium" Maya replied.
"Ah, yes. My teacher once said that to me," said Daya, hitting her left palm with the right hand, remembering Mr. Abdi's words.
"I'm sure your teacher is a great person, you should have recorded every word, Daya."
"Yes, from now on I will record what I know. By the way is it okay if you give Verdon's monster horn that has the poison to your grandfather, Maya?"
"What's wrong, all elements only work if the user is still alive. If the user has died, then all the elements and effects will disappear."
"It looks like I should take note of that," said Daya spontaneously.
They were silent for a few minutes and then shocked by the sound of a big laugh owned by Jaka that made Daya and Maya shocked to hear it.
"Mahaha ...." Jaka's laughter rang out then he smiled gleefully while holding his back head using both palms.
"Why are you laughing, Jaka?" tanya Daya was confused by Jaka's laughter which suddenly sounded shocking to her and Maya.
"I'm reminded of our fight against the Verdon monster."
"Create ...?" ask Maya with a confused face.
"Just this time I felt the meaning of friendship, the meaning of taking care of each other, and the meaning of the group fighting together. Just remembering it set my spirit on fire and a new power emerged. Power that surpasses me, power that I feel does not come from within me. That is the power that wants to protect people who are valuable to me," replied Jaka with a very enthusiastic tone and eyes staring hard at the road before him.
Daya and Maya smile at Jaka's words, remembering the fight against Verdon's monster. Daya feels one of her desires to get a friend who protects her and she protects with all her soul is almost fulfilled. Maya feels like she wants to continue like this, has friends who won't laugh at her, has friends who always support her and has friends who can laugh when happy and help each other in times of hardship.
Their journey home was interspersed with stories and laughter. It was completely dark, without feeling they had reached the village gate that Daya and Jaka wanted to go to.
