Eps 31: Fighting the Verdon Monster (1/3).

It was getting dark, the atmosphere was tense and the heart was pounding waiting for the seconds of the monster attack that was believed to be the strongest monster they had ever faced. At the end of the trail, Maya, Daya and Jaka come down the hill to go to the barren fields before him. They walked slowly but surely, the land had dried up and saw the path around it as a place where the residents walked and did their work. When they had reached the field, they approached the place where the ordinary villagers were sheltering that had been broken. When they got there, Maya told them not to speak out loud and asked them to squat.

"So, what should we do?" jaka asked in a soft voice and a squatting position looking towards Maya.

"I have information about the Verdon monster and I'm sure we can defeat it" Maya said optimistically.

"What's the plan, Maya?" tanya Daya who also whispered and squatted.

"First, Verdon was a monster who had sharp hearing and sense of taste but his distance of vision was very limited, so there were times when he saw using his hearing. Second, Verdon's main attack was on the ramming of his horns and his urine that could be very far away" explained Maya by looking at Jaka and Daya.

"What to look out for in your urine?" tanya Jaka cuts Maya's explanation.

"Verdon's urine has a very deadly germ, if the urine hits your skin, then your skin can break apart from the bite of germs in the urine."

"Cih ... monster base," Jaka snorted after hearing Maya's explanation.

"Third, like the other monsters, Verdon's speed, endurance and strength were extremely fast and powerful. Then the last one, the element that might kill Verdon is fire" explained Maya looking towards Jaka.

"What else are we waiting for, let's find and kill the monster! I will burn him with my blue fire" said Jaka with a fiery spirit.

"Before that, how did you know about all this, Maya?" ask Power in a smooth tone.

The spirit that was seen from Jaka seemed to disappear, Maya's gaze lowered and looked sad.

"I know all this not without cause. This was all thanks to the efforts and sacrifices of the villagers and some of the warriors who wanted to finish off Verdon for doing so much damage in the village. This monster is very strong, unlike the usual monsters that are often found around the village. We recorded everything that the monster had done and done. Then the four things I mentioned earlier were the fruit of their efforts," Maya replied in a voice like holding back tears and sadness.

"Sorry to have asked and we are sorry for the departure of the citizens" Daya said feeling guilty for asking so made Maya feel sad.

"No need to apologize, because that's not what they want to get. They just want their successors to live in peace" said Maya who looks strong again.

"I am convinced, thanks to their help and the strength we have. We can finish off the monster and save your grandfather's life, Maya," Daya said with a smile on her lips.

Maya smiled at Daya's words and smiles and said,

"Thank you, Power."

Daya and Maya look at each other while smiling at each other. They do that for a few seconds until Jaka breaks their smile,

"Hey .. hey. Continue your romantic story after we killed the monster, now explain what you plan to do, Maya!" jaka breaks a smile between Daya and Maya.

"Ah, sorry. Alright, first use the attack from a distance, when the monster has realized our existence and attacked, attacking, one of us dodged and moved towards the back of the monster then the other one ran in a different direction.

"Hmm... Can you use the wind element?" ask Maya.

"Yes, I can" Maya answered briefly.

"Well, let's do it, we've got enough information about what we're going to fight. We have to move fast, it will be difficult if the sun has sunk" said Daya saw a dark day.

They began to move and search into the cave around the field in case there were Verdon monsters hiding. Verdon monsters are monsters that are active in the morning until noon. At night, the monster went into a place where it could sleep.

After searching for a few minutes, they finally found a cave where the monster Verdon was sleeping. They moved inside, led by Maya, behind her was Jaka and the last was Daya.

Maya steps her legs slowly, when if the distance between the monster and herself is only a few meters, Maya takes a bow and arrow from her back. Maya puts two arrows on her bow, pulling and focusing the gaze on the target she wants to go to. When Maya feels sure, Maya releases the arrow she holds. The arrow that shot was not just an arrow, it had been enveloped by the wind element that made its speed and accuracy increase. The two arrows lead to the sleeping monster Verdon.

*btak ... Ctak ...

The sound of the two arrows being blasted moved swiftly towards Verdon's monster head. However, the two arrows that had been coated in wind element were broken instantly collided with the thick Verdon monster skin.

"Damn, even after I added the element remains broken," Maya grumbled to see her attack fail.

Sensing that someone wanted to interrupt his sleep, Verdon's monster awoke and looked towards the source of the attack's sound. From the darkness of the cave, the monsters ran towards them with horns ready to attack their bodies. The monster was gray in color with an extremely large body, almost as tall as an adult human. Her horns look sharp and saliva looks falling from her mouth.

Maya moves towards the back of Jaka and Jaka runs towards the monster. When the monster stayed only a few meters away from him, Jaka jumped over the monster and landed right behind it. Along with that, Verdon's monster draws his urine towards Jaka.

Knowing what to do and how far to land, Jaka quickly dodged Verdon's monster attack by moving to the right side. After dodging, Jaka swung his hand horizontally. The fire element coming out of his hand moved towards the back of the Verdon monster. The fire that had burned the back of Verdon's monster body was as if it was just caressing the monster's body. The fire did not hurt the Verdon monster in the slightest.

The force that saw Jaka had been right behind the monster decided to run in a different direction from Jaka's position. Simultaneously, Maya distracts Verdon's monster by firing her wind arrow at the monster's head. Although not effective, Maya still fired her arrow so that Daya could get to her position.

But alas, seeing a human move right in front of his eyes made the monster aim its horn and run towards Power. Maya's efforts are futile, and Daya does not know that the monster is moving towards her until she hears Maya's screams.

"Power ...! Watch ...!" maya's screams echoed throughout the cave commemorating Daya's coming danger.

"Power ...!" Jaka who was behind the monster also shouted to warn Daya when he saw her in danger.

Daya who heard the screams of Maya and Jaka then looked to the side, the monster was ready to gore the body of Power with his horns. The power that saw the monster was already close to him was startled and ....
