Possessive Companions

Possessive Companions
Chapter 29

Ever since she learned of Naomi's actions, Asya kept a little distance from the girl. Even so, he could not be angry at her. Her affection and mother's taste for Naomi's previous life made her unable to scold the girl.

"Pa, Ma, Asya set off first, huh? There's an important meeting this morning."After finishing breakfast. The girl peeked at Irene and Edo.

"Yes, honey. Careful, yeah." Reply Irene.

"Don't speed the car." Edo warned.

"Yes, Ma, Pa."

Asya walked over to Naomi. He patted the shoulder of the girl who was chewing her food.

"I go first, yeah." Saying something, soft.

"Yes, you be careful." The reply.

"Oh yeah, Asya!" Asya who was about to step turned to look at Edo.

"What's up, Pa?"

"Back at work, straight to Darren's house, huh?"

"To Darren's house? I can come, can I?" Naomi answered with excitement. Making Edo, Irene and Asya look at him.

"We'll go together." Reply Asya, smiling at him.

A faint smile appeared on Naomi's lips. His happy face could not be hidden. Edo and Irene looked at each other. They do not understand the way Asya thought.

Actually, even though Asya did not tell about Naomi's behavior in Darren's office at that time, they already knew. Jiyo was the one who told them. If it was Jiyo who provided the information about Darren and Asya, they were sure it was one hundred percent accurate.

"Why are we there, Pa?"

"Not for anything. Mom just wants to play there. There will probably be a Gio family along with Viko as well. Aye, sweetie?" Edo looked at his wife.

"Yes. Maybe they were there too. Mom wants to play there too. It's been a while, isn't it, baby, we're not going there?"

"Yes. But if you don't want to come along, that's okay."

Asya smiled looking at her Papa. "We must be there." The reply. "Yes, already. Asya go first, huh?"

"I'm leaving too." Naomi got up from her seat because she had finished her breakfast.

"Yes, you guys be careful."

"Yes, Ma."

"Yes, Tan."

Darren grabbed the suit and put it on. The knock on the door of his room made him look. His long legs stepped closer to the door and opened it.

He nodded at Darrel who was standing in front of him without showing any expression.

"What's wrong?" Darren's question made Darrel turn his facial expression serious.

"Can I come in?"

"Come in." Darren walks first, letting Darrel close the door.

The two sat on the sofa that was available in Darren's room. "Do you know this girl?"

Darrel shows a photo of Aurel. Due to his reasons for keeping Asya away from Naomi, Aurel finally agrees to follow Darrel back. Currently, the girl lives in Darrel's apartment. The apartment he bought with money won various painting competitions.

Darren stared at the screen without taking it from Darrel. The look on his face was still the same, flat with no expression.

"I don't know. But, never met at a hotel in C."

Darren just fell silent without wanting to ask more. He let Darrel say what he wanted to say.

"He's been missing since graduating high school. I met him back at the hotel in C. And I brought him back. I hope that he can help us keep Asya away from Naomi."

Darren turned his gaze to look at Darrel. He looked as if asking for an explanation from Darrel.

The man did not look back at Darren. His gaze was only forward. Shortly, he resumed his words.

"With Aurel, Asya's attention to Naomi will be sidetracked. I know how Asya loved Naomi. And I know even more, how Asya loved Aurel. I'm sure, with Aurel, Asya will lean more towards him than on Naomi. Moreover, after a long time of separation, Asya again met him."

Darren is a good listener for what his twin sister has to say. But, there was a burden and also a worry that Darren could see from Darrel's eyes when looking ahead when speaking.

"Are you worried about something?"

Darrel looked at his twin. He then shook his head. "Nothing I worry about."

"You can say it when you want. I'll hear it." Darren. Darrel took his breath. Darren's words are proof that he doesn't believe what Darrel answers. It's very hard to lie to Darren.

"alright. Come on, let's get down. Dad, Alisha's mom has been waiting for this."

The two twin brothers went down to the dining room. Darrel's facial expression had already turned cheerful as usual. It was very much different from his expression when he was in Darren's room.

Throughout the day, both Darren and Asya spend their time with important documents. The hour hand that keeps turning makes them unconscious, if the time to go home from work arrived. Especially Darren. The man was still in his office when the towering building was already deserted. The employees left the place a few minutes ago.

The shaking phone did not make Darren take his eyes off the documents he was reading. Not just once the phone vibrates. But, it has been many times since time showed the hours of home office.

Geck... Geck... Geck...

"Lake in!"

"Darrenes. Comeon! It's past office hours. Why are you still working?" Upset Jiyo. He closed the door and threw his body on the sofa.

"Slowly." One reply from Darren made Jiyo glare. Overtime for Darren, is torture for Jiyo. He'll be like a living pouch that can move while waiting for Darren to overtime. Actually, he could have left Darren because the man allowed him to go home first. But he could not leave his best friend.

"Ck. Leave those files alone. You see this! Alisha's been berating me with a lot of messages telling you to come home." Upset Jiyo moves closer to Darren and shows him the messages Alisha sent her.

Darren who saw it immediately checked his phone. Lots of messages and phone calls from the little girl. He is too focused on his work to ignore the vibrations in his phone.

Darren closed the documents he read and woke up leaving his seat of greatness. Alisha's message she's read. There are many articles that tell him to go home quickly. I don't know what happened at their residence, Darren doesn't know. But, he could sense if there was nothing to worry about.

"We're home?" Jiyo asked, when she saw Darren standing up and grabbing his car keys.

"Yes." Yeah."

That short answer made Jiyo smile. He walked over quickly and opened the door for Darren.

"Please, young master." Jiyo said, letting Darren out. Made the cold man look at her for a moment, then completely walked out of the room.

Darren enters his car as well as Jiyo. Both are driving their own vehicles. However, Darren slightly frowned as Jiyo did not turn her car into the road leading to her house. Instead, Jiyo took the same direction.

Darren then ignored him and continued to drive his car towards the house. When the car stopped in the yard, Jiyo's car also stopped.

Darren came down and saw some cars parked in the yard. He recognized all the cars.

"Why are you here too?" Ask Darren.

"Me?" The man pointed to himself. "I told Alisha to come here too." Darren fell silent, not responding to him anymore.

"Just get Alisha to tell us to go home fast. It turns out that there are already many. Eat big, tonight." Chirps Jiyo who had been standing next to Darren since when.

Darren only stared at him for a while, then walked in.

"Ck. It's ice." Decak Jiyo, when Darren doesn't respond. He then followed Darren into the house.
