Possessive Companions

Possessive Companions
Chapter 143

It had been almost thirty minutes of walking time since the doorbell entered the classroom, the seat that Axel used to occupy was still empty. Counted already 5 times Alisha stared outside the classroom. However, an Axel had yet to appear.

Is Axel not going to school today?

Although he said that if he did not care about Axel, still his worry for the man continued to exist. For some reason, lately Axel often absent. And it makes her feel bad.

The break bell rings indicating the lesson at that time is over. Yana approaches Alisha who doesn't seem to want to leave the classroom.

"Sha, Nadia has a different story for you, if she doesn't go to school today?" Yana sat down in the chair next to Alisha.

"No, Yan. Why?"

"No. I'm surprised, last night around 8 o'clock, we're talking again, but he didn't tell me if he didn't go to school today."

"Night she didn't chat me, Yan," Alisha replied.

"What's up?" Hardi came and stood beside Alisha. His hand pulled the chair from the next table and sat down on it. "You guys are so serious. Speaking what?"

"Here, Nadia didn't tell me she wasn't going to school."

Is correct. I didn't realize Nadia wasn't in today. It is worth two empty seats.

But....

"You guys said Nadia wasn't in school and didn't hear back?" Alisha and Yana nodded at the same time. Hardi remained silent. He suddenly remembered a message from a number he did not know a few days ago.

Between 5, 4 are targeted. Ignore the 1, focus on the 3. That was the message I got at the time. Is that not a warning to me?

"Hardi?" alisha's clap on her shoulder made Hardi aware of her thoughts.

"Huh?"

"What do you think?" chirps Yana.

"No." The teenage boy nodded. "Do you know Nadia's home address?"

Alisha and Yana stared at each other with wrinkles on the forehead that were clearly visible on the faces of the two. They then turned to Hardi with a probing look.

"Come on... Why are you going to Nadia's house?" ask Alisha.

"Mama with Papa Nadia again outside the city. Nadia is just the same waiter. Watch out if you want to fuck around!" said Yana.

"Ck. I don't do anything. It's just mastiin that Nadia's okay."

"Yes too. We'd better have Nadia's mastiin all right in her house" Alisha said.

"Yes already. After pul—"

Drrtt... Drrtt... Drrtt...

Not yet Yana finished her words, Alisha's phone shook. Yana stops her words and chooses to pay attention to Alisha who answers the phone.

"Hallo, Dad."

"Son, sir, the driver is picking you up now. Maybe in front of the school. I've already authorized you to be the principal."

"Who? Why, Dad? Did something happen to our family?"

"Axel's grandmother died."

Degs...

Alisha speechless. And Yana and Hardi. Both of them fell silent with the eye smashing in shock.

"Be–truth, Dad?"

"Yes, honey. It's a serious matter. Papa can't be messing around with death."

"I–iya, Dad. Alisha wait for the driver."

"Yes, Son. I'll turn the phone off."

"Yes, Dad."

After the phone was turned off, Alisha immediately got a question attack from Yana and Hardi.

"Axel's grandmother died?" yana and Hardi asked simultaneously.

"Yes" replied Alisha weakly.

Yana clucked at Hardi's question. The girl rolled her lazy eyeballs. "No need to ask me strangely."

"How weird?" Hardi doesn't understand.

"Udah, you guys don't make a fuss. I'm going home first. My driver's waiting in front."

"Be careful, Sha."

"Yes." Yeah." The girl grabbed her bag and walked out of the class. He was quite surprised when he saw Kenan and Ben standing in front of his class.

"Uncle?" Alisha approached the two men. What kind of situation was this until his two uncles, the confidant of his father picked him up.

"Uncle Kenan did Uncle Ben pick up Alisha?"

"Yes, miss. Sir ask us to pick up miss" replied Ben.

"We're going to Axel's house?"

"To the funeral, miss," replied Kenan.

"Yes, come on uncle!"

Alisha, Kenan and Ben walk together towards the school parking lot. Many eyes were staring at them. Eventually, they arrived at the parking lot. The driver immediately drove his car after Alisha and two of Gara's confidants sat safely in the car.

***

Alisha, Kenan and Ben walk down the road to Grandma Axel's grave. From a distance, Alisha can see a group of people standing around the tomb.

His steps accelerated when he saw Axel sitting squatting next to the grave of the grandmother. The teenage boy was silent. She didn't cry at all. Only a sad look could be seen from the man's face.

Alisha touched Axel's shoulder. "Axel," he called to make the man turn his head. Spontaneously he stood up and hugged Alisha.

"Dumb cave, Sha!! I didn't hear what Grandma said!! I'm not a good grandson. I went when my grandmother needed me. Iue—"

"It's not your fault, Xel. It's God's destiny." Alisha hugged him back.

Everyone who saw it was silent. They were also relieved to see Axel crying and talking.

"It turns out your decision to have your daughter here was just right, Gara. My son can show his emotions over this incident. I was so afraid something would happen to my son. Thank you" said Arya.

"Together," replied Gara.

"Do not doubt Gara when making a decision. Your best friend is very good at it" Edo said, patting Gara on the shoulder.

Axel still hugged Alisha. He stopped talking, but his tears kept on dripping. "I'm sorry, Sha," Axel murmured softly.

Alisha speechless. It seemed that he was reluctant to discuss the matter between him and Axel.

"We've been around long enough. Come on, go home first." Mama Axel looked at her husband. When he got a nod from his husband, he patted his son's back slowly, still hugging Alisha.

"Come, let's go home first" he said softly.

Axel nodded and took off his embrace. As he lifted his face, his eyes met Darren's and then Darrel's. The two Alisha sisters kept looking at him. He breaks off their eye contact and accidentally stares at Gara and Alula.

"Come, Son! We go home together." Alula's soft voice made Axel spontaneously nod. They then went to the parking lot and returned to their homes.

In the car, Alisha was silent. He kept thinking about Axel's self-blame for the grandmother's death. He looked at his father sitting in the front seat.

"Well, when did Axel's grandmother die?" tanyakanya.

"So, about 8."

"Why did Axel beat himself up? Where the hell's he going? She rarely leaves her grandmother alone. She's also been absent from school a lot lately" Alisha murmured. Both Gara and Alula heard it. They just kept quiet and didn't answer.

Alisha grabbed her phone to send Axel a message. However, he only realized that all access to contact Axel was blocked by the teenage boy.

Never mind. I'll call Axel later when I get home.

"Dad, we stopped by the sim card sale?"

"Lho, don't you already have a sim card, son?" Alula looked at her daughter and gently rubbed Alisha's hair.

The girl shifted closer to her mother and then hugged Alula. "Axel with Alisha Marahan at that time. All access to contact Axel blocked. So, Alisha wants to call Axel with a new number" Alisha whispered to her mother.

Alula smiled faintly at the words of her daughter. He rubbed Alisha's hair slowly and then nodded, confirming the princess's words.

While in the front seat, Gara continued to pay attention to his wife and child who were whispering and hugging each other.
