Many times these eyes blinked, receiving light into the eyes and feeling that my hand was grasped by someone. My eyes squinted and that person was Sasha who was immersing her face on the edge of my bed.
I looked around at the area where we were in the hospital room due to visible infusions and white blankets. Then, our parents came with restless faces and my feelings became unpleasant. They must have been asked by the hospital to accompany me as a patient.
"Lia, why didn't you say your condition?" mother asked with a concerned face who was sitting on the sofa behind Sasha. "You ... pregnant, son?"
Sounds like a great slap in my face. I was confused to respond and it was as if this was a mistake to admit. No, this is definitely not a mistake. If so, shouldn't they have prevented me by refusing Sasha to be together?
Sasha tightened her grip and looked up at me until she saw a bruised cheek. "You should be honest with me. Don't hold onto a lot of thoughts like this" he said uneasily.
"The doctor said if you were bleeding. The effects of being overwhelmed by thoughts and stress are ongoing" said Dad who was leaning on the back of the sofa. "The couple, you're all grown up, yeah."
What that sounds, a little embarrassing. Sasha probably felt that too.
"What's possible, Lia shouldn't have gone to school?" Mom questioned what surprised me. "If your condition is like this, it's better not to."
"But, it will be the midterms soon" I said hesitantly and glanced at Sasha who was feeling confused. "A new pregnancy, doesn't matter to me, Mom."
"It is precisely the new pregnancy must be taken care of completely," Mother asserted. "Just think, Lia. Your kindness. Don't let me think I should abort your womb for education."
Suddenly, I held the stomach that contained this innocent life. It was impossible for me to do such a cruel thing that was clearly not in his presence. For the first time in my life, I won't waste it. I don't want to be evil at all.
"Don't" I muttered, "Please."
"Mother, don't say that." Sasha closed her eyes with one hand to cover up half her upset reaction.
"Father can take care of the school by saying you're seriously ill. Masalab doctor's description, we can handle." I greeted with a smile. "Package only, Lia. Doesn't matter. Sasha will accompany you while studying."
My heart felt relieved when I heard this. Supportive and positive.
While peeling the apple, I continued, "Mom will definitely often go to your apartment to perfect the nutrition of my granddaughter later. What if Lia's in our house?"
Sasha automatically looked over. "Don't overdo it, Mom."
"Excess what? You boys, don't know anything then just shut up. The one who needs nutrition is Lia, not you." Mother became a nagging Sasha who didn't seem to want to be left behind by me. "Let Lia in the hospital to finish the infusion. I'll go see and bring good food as often as possible."
A plate of apples was given to me, making the originally tense me happy. Just wanted to take a piece, Sasha first plucked it. However, he just bribed me with a small smile.
"Later to come here again. Looks like you need some time together" said Father, who pulled Mom out of the room. "We go first."
The door closed, leaving us both in silence.
"What's with your face?" ask me after refusing to be fed an apple again. "Did Mom and Dad initially hit you for not accepting my pregnancy?"
His seat became upright and looked to the left. "It's nothing."
"Honest."
Shut up for a moment, and he replied, "It's not because of Mom or Dad. Except, Tristan."
"What's the matter with him?" many wonder.
"Aren't you aware that this room is VIP?" Sasha replied with a chimpanzee of questions. I looked around a second time and did not know it was due to never having been hospitalized before. "It's impossible for my parents to pay this much."
My eyes blinked a few times and took Sasha's words seriously. "He ordered this room?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"How can you?"
"When I took you, we met on the school grounds and he seemed to be waiting for you. After seeing you who I was carrying, he looked panicked and immediately ordered a taxi. I thought for us, but for him. Hana's there too and she's coming with me to get you here." His eyes looked at me with passion. "The man was talking in the administration. They're arguing. The staff asks for payment before providing further treatment as well as the best room for you. However, Tristan insists on getting you directly into the ER and preparing a room to stay before discussing payment."
I can imagine how panicked Tristan was towards me and so rampaging was only a small matter.
"Finally, the payment card he threw at the staff with emotions enslaved and made the payment right then and there," Sasha smiled as if funny as if to imagine the satisfaction of seeing the reaction of the staff of capitalism. "Seeai checked on you, the doctor asked me to call your wali and I called our parents directly."
Hana must have felt that there was something strange about why my guardian was Sasha's parents, and Tristan was suspicious because I didn't have anyone who actually had a guardian.
"After that, the doctor told Mom your diagnosis, which both of them would have heard that you were pregnant, Lia. The three of us were shocked, even more so were wearing school uniforms."
He must have been so embarrassed and thought that we were doing extraordinary delinquency. Obviously our actions are not wrong and legitimate in the eyes of the know.
"After that, Tristan punched me hard, pulled my collar and berated me. He questioned whether I could not help myself and not realize that I was still dating" he continued after sighing heavily.
If Tristan had known we were really married, would he still be able to behave like that?
"Hana didn't dare to break up and the staff took us apart."
"What do you say when you get beat up by Tristan?" as I gripped the blanket a sign of worry.
"Nothing, I just kept quiet. Take it easy," Sasha replied with relief on her face. "Don't worry."
Yeah, while there's him, I don't have to worry about anything.
"Do they think we're bad?" My head lowered and again felt restless. "I knew they wouldn't talk about this to the kids at school. But, it's a shame if this is exposed to those who are our old friends."
Both of my hands were held gently by Sasha, like she was calming me down. "It's okay, don't think too much."
"But ..."
"Lia," His eyes fixed me fixed. "There's me. What do you need to fear? I told you, don't worry."
How will my two friends look at me like this? Sure ... they stare low and intimidate.
